While I was skeptical about living in a split-level town home, it was the best decision I've made. The community is beautiful, and the staff have been nothing but helpful. Since moving in, I have had issues with my air conditioning and my upstairs bathtub leaking. Both were resolved quickly and professionally. While the apartments aren't brand new, they are well-maintained by management who has an investment in the community. I can't recommend them highly enough. A+++!

There is always enough parking, but since the entire parking lot is on an incline it can be a pain. It's a very safe area. This is a historical building! 1939- The walls are a foot and a half thick! If you get a good unit, you see only green. I'm on the second floor without a dishwasher, but that doesn't bother me. It's just me and I find it very mindful doing dishes. If you have allergies, the wood flooring will help tremendously like it did me. The ACs are powerful enough, the grounds are beautiful. Laundry onsite. Parking tight after 8pm. Cats ok no dogs. Remember that a lot of people know of this place and know of people who have lived here so the negative reviews are the exception. Not perfect but best management you'll find. You also never pay extra for electricity - flat rate. A couple of times I've used the oven for extra heat, shhh ;)

We were skeptical about apartment living at first, but have been pleasantly surprised since becoming a Wisterian :). The management staff are attentive and friendly. They are always planning events for the residents (well, pre-pandemic anyways). The maintenance staff respond quickly to maintenance requests and they are also kind and courteous. The units are older but well maintained and some have been remodeled. Our unit is a 3 bedroom 2 bath and is a good size for us. In regards to the actual "neighborhood"...it's nice here. It's not loud, you can hear children outside playing, but that's a good thing! No loud music, I don't think I've ever seen the police called out or any really situation requiring intervention. It's a nice play...I'm really glad we landed here for a while.

I called the office the first morning they were open when we saw the issue. I asked if they would waive the late fee ($150) given we had just moved in and that we only missed it by one day given the 4th of July Weekend. The community manager would not consider it. It could have been a very different review had they been willing to work with us but unfortunately not. Lesson Learned! What they do is bend over backwards to help each and every tenet feel cared for and at home in this massive building where you might expect less given the size. Nope! We made lots of friends here and it was a dream to know I could reach out to anyone, and I mean anyone, who was working that day and get help quickly and with a smile. That's so rare these days, so I had to let the world know. These folks work so hard and I've heard complaints about other nearby apartments being non- responsive to their tenets. I tell them all, come to the Palmer! It's luxury living for sure, but the warmth and attention from the office staff are what take it to the next level. They should ALL get raises! Right off of the Highland Avenue area with great parks and walking trails this truly is a hidden gem. The pool and patio area is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. There are rules in place to make sure all residents have a safe, quiet and clean environment to live in. Between the wonderful gas lamps and lush greenery that make up the landscaping and a fountain at the entrance complete with fish, you find yourself completely at ease in the heart of a bustling city. And I wish they'd put up a roof over the gate code entry box so that you don't get soaked while entering a code/calling someone to let you into the community.
