Owner Ray Baca, has created a dream space for any event planner. The walls are original historic brick, and the furnishing is clean and modern. My favorite feature is the raw feel; this space can easily be outfitted to fit any event. The venue is also unique because of the kitchen and easy setup space for catering. You will not find another venue of this caliber with this unique setup anywhere is downtown Wilmington. The central location is also wonderful if the weddings located in downtown Wilmington. I am using this venue to host a business owner's info session. Mr. Baca has been a pleasure to work with and I hope to host other events here in the future. He was so amazing over the phone gave us all sorts of information we should know and told us that pets are welcomed and encouraged! We went during the end of season and he warned us the flowers would not be as pretty as normal and we'd have to hunt for the good ones, but the flowers were gorgeous! We brought our dog and had an amazing time plus we had a beautiful flower bouquet to bring home. Since it was after season it was free but we did donate to keep it going next year! They do have scissors and cutters for you there as well and a station to clean your flowers up as well as some benches and hay bails for photo opportunities! Can't wait to come back next year!

This past Monday was the opening day of the Old River Farms sunflower fields. Three of us went this…read moremorning. It wasn't crowded, maybe a dozen cars parked near the field. It's a small field (compared to the ones I've been to in Maryland) but just as pretty. We went around and took lots of photos. I also brought my mini drone and did a couple of videos and photos (with permission by the owner, Dean). There's a large barn where you can bring a picnic lunch, bathroom facilities, and plants for purchase. The employees that we met were very friendly and helpful. They had cutters for those that didn't bring their own. They sell the flowers for $1 a piece. The proceeds will go to help a Ukranian family. I will visit again soon.

I didn't see any beer on tap but they do have beer. Wine and mixed drinks available, obviously. The glass of wine I got was $12. Ehh, a little steep. The elevator to the 9th floor is tiny. Four normal size people or two bigguns. You can take the stairs, and I did going up, but you better be in shape. Not sure that I would ever buy a membership here but it was fun to go once.

They were looking at every possible angle to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. At one point, I saw the wedding coordinator walk out to the street to motion a traveling bar cart to lower their singing as the wedding was going on. An Indian man, I didn't catch his name, was routinely walking around and asking everyone if there was anything they needed and insuring everyone was having a great time. He was super personable. The bartenders made excellent drinks and smiled the whole time. Good for them because my face would hurt from smiling that much. The event space itself, perfect for a small wedding, was beautiful and cozy and clean. I would definitely recommend hosting any event here!

Hours before the ceremony I received a call from the staff offering to set up chairs under the covered section of the venue in case the rain didn't let up. Not only did they set up the chairs for us, in the hours leading up to the guests arriving they were sweeping, squeegeeing, and air blowing rain water into the drains to keep the area dry for guests. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We didn't get to use the traditional aisle and benches but it was still just as beautiful and perfect as I imagined. I could not be happier and guests have continually been commenting on how beautiful and unique the space was.

The space has lots of trees and landscaping inside to bring nature into the space. The attached interior space has some bathrooms that were clean and worked well. It's got an urban rustic feel. Lots of exposed brick with greenery growing up into it. It kind of reminded me of where Ross and Emily got married in Friends with the open ceiling space. Fortunately the weather cooperated and there wasn't sun beating down on the guests. The long hall and open ceiling made for some nice breezes. We ended up eating along long tables in the large hall which made use of the long dimensions. We didn't need a separate dance floor as the courtyard served as that. The staff was very nice and attentive. Not sure if they were from the venue or caterer, but they did a great job. We lucked out and the weather was beautiful. There was only one airplane that flew overhead and not during the ceremony. It was pretty loud when it flew over during the rehearsal, but the ceremony went great. It's very centrally located to downtown, right off Market and 2nd. Parking is available across the street.

We woke up the next morning no beautiful flowers to be seen! They had said something about "you have to tell us if you want to keep the flowers, it was in our contract"! Isn't that crazy though! Could you imagine them coming back after flowers that I sent to a funeral and said "you didn't tell us you wanted to keep the flowers"! When paying for wedding flowers- you purchase the flowers along with the time creating a beautiful arrangement. Therefore the only thing we should have paid for was the arranging/time since we apparently didn't "own" the flowers! These people are reusing flowers! The problem- we already paid for the product!
