But then you think about it and are like why have I never seen this before? It can't be that hard? They also have a meat free version of the allegedly local favorite sauerkraut balls which was an absolute must. There were just so many things we wanted it was hard to choose. Other than the balls, I was very interested in the vegan sausage and the Reuben (on literal potato pancakes) that can be made vegetarian or vegan without the corned beef but ultimately could not pass on the tofu schnitzel which came with a starchy side (I went with the spätzle obviously) and a veggie side (I went with the kraut.. obviously) and GF the Reuben with a side of fries. To take home for later, the spätzle appetizer and the pretzel. We also ordered beers, needless to say. I tried a cider that was incredible. One of the best ciders I've ever had. Everything was incredible. The kraut balls, actually spicy kraut balls per their menu, were so good. I was bummed there were only 4. I feel like there should be at least 6. I'll pay more. The dipping sauces were really good too. One was a curry ketchup type thing and the other was a cheese that was fabulous. Tofu schnitzel was breaded to perfection with a very crispy exterior. They used a nice, thic slab of tofu. Given the schnitzelness of it they probably could have gotten away with something thinner. They had a mushroom gravy which was nice for the vegans. The kraut was typical kraut. The spätzle slapped. I love those little pasta dumpling dough pieces. What a nice texture. GF's fries were salted perfectly and crisp. The pretzel was softer and lighter than usual. The cheese spätzle was better than sex, earth shattering ecstasy. So yeah it was pretty good.

Occasion: Visiting my daughter and can't resist a European style market…read more I really wanted to like this store. It was full of interesting products that looked very diverse and decently priced. So why only one star? I am a disabled person who has a service dog to help me. As soon as we walked in the door, the woman who owns the shop fought her way through the crowd to get to me and demanded to see my dog's registration papers to prove she was a service dog. Oh, boy... I politely explained to her that registration is not a thing for service dogs and shared with her the 2 legal questions that businesses are authorized to ask dog handlers, and volunteered my responses. She insisted that she knows better and that there is a registry for service dogs and she will need to see Piper's registration to allow us to remain in her store. She even went so far as to tell me she'll call the police and have them tell me there is a registry for service dogs. I let her know that's not necessary I'll find and correct the police if they're incorrectly stating ADA requirements. (this happens more often than you might imagine.) I confirmed with her the location of the police in WSM and went to find one. I did get her to accept my ADA card though, so that's progress. After the lady harassed me about Piper, I didn't have much of an appetite for her wares. We left feeling trampled on and violated. Note: I did seek out the officer. Not only did the officer understand ADA requirements, he offered to go with me to correct the woman. I told him that I would never patronize her store now so I'm not interested in accompanying him, but I appreciate his effort to prevent her from discriminating against the next dog handler that enters the premises. He chased me down in a crowded market later to tell me that he'd had a conversation with the woman and she now understands ADA law. Would I recommend? not if you're disabled Would I return? not on your life Service Dog Grade: F. Denied access and required police correction. I have never filed a complaint re: ADA before today:(

There was ample parking and the farm was easy to find. The beer was very refreshing considering the heat. Red Wagon is a unique experience in that you are sitting at a bar with a farmer's market right next to you. They offered typical bar food. My partner ordered a flatbread and it was good. The IPA was good also. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can also walk outside and order ice cream at the ice cream window. It is somewhat of a one stop shop.

They have a very loyal and strong following so just walking in and getting a table is not likely. Had the Wiener schnitzel (small portion) and it was more than enough. Came with nice dinner salad, a choice of side and applesauce. I am no expert on Hungarian food but this was excellent. Light, crispy and tender. Also has a couple of Hungarian wines and Beer available. I had a Ukrainian beer that was very good. Service was good, seems like a family business that took good care of all the patrons. If there is one issue...because the restaurant is so small, table are really close together so just be aware. All in all a solid experience that satisfies on all counts.
