Great Korean bakery located next to So Gong Dong in the Assi plaza shopping center. Their cakes are delicious and their drinks are well made as well. The atmosphere is definitely geared towards Koreans as the place is always hopping with Korean groups elder and younger folks. Seems to be more of a popular spot for older Koreans to meet at though. Their customer service is friendly and the only setback I see here is their parking is a little crowded at times but overall that's not a huge negative. 5 solid Stars for Hansel and Gretel and I'm glad to see them doing well after all these years of them being in business. Happy New Year 2024.

I am a HUGE fan of Matcha Strawberry Lattes and this one did not disappoint! It was delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. It was $6.5 but an extra $1 for oatmilk. Pricey but still delicious. This cafe is a great place to study and get work done!

Place: This place is really nice. Probably my favorite bakery and dessert place. They are Korean bakery and have great cakes. The space is huge so you can definitely bring your friends and families. Service: The service is great! They call your number when the food/drinks are ready so it is pretty nice. Food/price: The food is amazing and worth the price. I got iced coffee and it was pretty good. The cakes are so good because they have homemade whipping cream. Audience: Great for families and friends. Recommend/tips? I recommend this place!

Such a yummy spot to go to for a late night craving! I enjoyed coming here in high school with friends for catching up, meetings and to study (although it's a bit noisy so not much studying was done haha!) It's a solid go to place when you're craving some light and yummy desserts. I got the fresh cream puff which is absolutely DELICIOUS everyone should try it. The cream is so light and there's a hint of perfect sweetness. I also got the mocha cake which was delicious but there was not any sort of coffee taste to it at all, just tasted like a plain cake. The chocolate cake was also delicious but you could also taste the flavor. There's an option for a vanilla or hazelnut latte (if you get the regular latte you'll need to add a packet or two of sugar). The hazelnut latte was the PERFECT amount of sweetness, not overwhelming at all just such a delicacy. The place is clean and service is quick and friendly! Would recommend to anyone looking for a yummy treat!

This is the OG Hansel & Gretel, located in the 109 Assi plaza. I think it opened over a decade ago, and this was the first location before the Duluth & JC location opened up. Hansel & Gretel is a nice bakery cafe, with some great drink selections as well - I used to come here all the time whenever I wanted to avoid the Arte crowd. I really do like Hansel & Gretel bread -- they have always offered some type of discount... especially after COVID and I think I like their loaf bread the best (after Paris Baguette of course...) but PB is so expensive. Their drinks are pretty good... not the best, but it's still decent. It's definitely one of the quieter cafes in this plaza, but it does not mean it's not busy. It gets pretty packed in here sometimes as well. I ordered an iced americano on my most recent visit, and I've started to get picky about my americanos - it tasted a little burnt, but it wasn't too bad. I've learned that I need to stop treating all cafes like Starbucks. I hope H&G's legacy lives on for a while - it's a great bakery to get Korean bread and a great place to hang out or study!

My friend is in love with these airy creative cronuts. I am vegan and patiently waiting for the vegan versions because I love the presentation of the bakery. Cleanliness ' A Affordability- A extreme affordability Ease of access- A delivery offered and easy to access with several locations. Taste A- my friends live by these cronuts! I only offered four stars because my review is based on first Hand creativity and affordabiliy but second hand information on taste.

Once a while I come back here for my quiet breakfast on my off days. I like the variety of breakfast they offer. Not impressed with their drinks though but it's great atmosphere to spend a quiet morning with delicate breakfast.

Oreo Cheesecake - very rich yet light and delectable with no negative side effects for the lactose intolerant gut.

Dessert and smoothie were both deliciously fresh tasting. I had the Oreo cheesecake and strawberry banana smoothie. There were so many options! The dining area is petite...not much to report here. Oreo Cheesecake - very rich yet light and delectable with no negative side effects for the lactose intolerant gut. This will be a special stop for dessert when staying nearby.

WAAAY bigger portions and less crowded than the Hansel and Gretel in Duluth. The service was really good, and I honestly like the layout of this place more. It seems more of a conversational place that is inviting for people to sit and stay for a while, it's well lit for people who'd like to study or chat with a friend. The pastries here were delicious as well, they were all marked off towards the end of the day, so that was a small bonus. I will definitely be coming to this location more often.

Korean bakery where tons of middle-aged men sit around and talk for hours in hiking outfits. Got here around 10am but most breads were available closer to noon. They advertise "discounted" prices but it's typically already raised then displays discounted price so you be the judge ‍ got an iced latte and they had $5min on cards- I paid $5.01 and they have no change?? I was like rude, you could've at least asked if I wanted change back. I got $25 worth of bread before I left but forgot to put my number in until I had paid. I asked if I can submit my number to collect the points and they said it's too late free wifi & parking in lot. Tl;dr Bread is like any other Korean bakeries

Cute Korean bakery with very, very delicious drinks! Great place to sit down and chat with your friends, study, or enjoy a quick bite. For drinks, we ordered the Iced peach green tea and their signature matcha strawberry latte. These two drinks are sooo good. Would definitely recommend these. There is a great variety of korean pastries and cakes to choose from. The whole cake designs are super cute, such as this sheep cake shaped with cream as the wool. Great place if you're looking for Asian pastries. The bakery is pretty spacious, and since there are plenty of tables and booths for you to relax and enjoy your goodies in, it'll be great if there was a way to heat up your pastries! The plaza lot this bakery is located in is so vast, so finding free parking should be simple. Friendly service!

Mochi twisted donut, iced mango berry tea
    Cassie H.

I love Hansel and Gretel Duluth, but this place is better! The pastries are so fresh and tasty, and my favorite would have to be the mochi twisted donut. The egg tarts are delicious as well. I tried the ice mango berry tea, and it is so good!! If you like mango concentrated drinks on the sweeter side, this is the perfect drink! The service is so fast, and the cashiers are really sweet. If you post on IG and tag them, you also get a free cream puff. There's 4 booth seating areas, a high table, and plenty of tables.

Tons of parking right by the bakery, it is in the same plaza as Assi. I have shopped here a few times to get bread - there are a lot of varieties. Some of my favorite are the sweet potato bread, matcha bread and the fresh strawberry bread. This time we ordered a cake - honestly I forgot to ask what flavor it was. But it tasted like an Oreo filling with chocolate sponge cake. It wasn't too sweet and there are so many different kinds of toppings. Made it look extra special! They provide candles, you just have to ask for it. The last 3 times I have gone, there has always been a special, either 10% off or 25% off. There is both indoor and outdoor seating area. Would be back and hopefully try a drink or two next time!

I'm also a big fan of their cookies - with my personal favorite, the earl grey. I'm unsure if they still have their brunch menu, but I also really loved their soufflé pancakes. I'm also impressed with their coffee options - much better than the average Korean bakery. Recently tried the matcha cream latte which was pretty much perfect. Creamy iced latte topped with unsweetened matcha cream - perfect pick-me-up. Overall a pretty quiet spot to grab a sweet treat and a coffee in a newly renovated cafe. Definitely recommend if you're in Suwanee!

We had a small group and were able to find a table quickly,l. The dessert selection is AMAZING.. so many tempting options that it was honestly hard to choose. I'm not usually a huge matcha fan, but I figured if I was going to give it another shot, this was the place and I'm glad I did. It was actually really good and perfectly balanced. Berry Tart: This tart walked in looking like it pays rent. Gorgeous, glossy, and so pretty I almost apologized before cutting into it. Clients loved it. My kids loved it. Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice: My 2‑year‑old (CEO of Strawberry Obsessed Galore) approved immediately. Every layer had actual thick strawberry pieces, not those sad little bits that makes you wonder if there were even strawberries in here or just mushed up pieces... Sweet, creamy, NOT overly weak and a total show‑off. We devoured it. Fruit Pastry & Raspberry Fruit Bite: Flaky pastry + custard + fruit = the holy trinity. These two didn't miss. They understood the assignment and executed flawlessly. Curry & Crab Croquette: I'm team CRAB croquette. It was loaded, crispy, and basically winked at me. Now, let's talk service: They open at 7 AM, and somehow had my entire order made, warmed, packed, organized, and ready in just over an hour..while other customers were inside, AND they helped me load everything into my car. Almost similar tasting to a Vietnamese coffee in my opinion (both are delicious). That strong, brewed coffee flavor with this delicious milky, sweetened condensed milk taste. I am not exactly sure if they used sweetened condensed milk in the Korean iced coffee, but it sure does taste similar to it. It's quite good.
