If I am in the area, I always stop for Hansel and Gretel's bakery goods. The place is super big, clean and matches the personality of the chain. All drinks are made to order. And it is counter service. You'll go up to the counter and order your drinks and wait for them to make them. All of the pastries are super cute as well and very creative. The items are attractively displayed but the items we ordered were virtually flavorless-- just sweet. The Tiramisu for example did not have the coffee flavor one would expect. It was just a pretty piece of cake with only sweet as the memorable "taste." For the price and taste, I can't recommend this shop. read more

OMG! I've been here about 7 months and this is the best cafe I've visited so far! The selections are plentiful and look SO delicious - and I arrived before they even put everything out. The cafe is very spacious and could definitely accommodate a group of people. Music is not too loud and the seating is comfortable. Good place to meet up with friends, grab a bite, study, etc. I will definitely return when working in the area. read more

Beautiful bakery! Loved the variety of pastries and desserts available. The self-serve concept for the pastries wasn't super clear upon walking in. Just grab a tray, paper, and tongs and get your favs. Bring them to the register and check out. I got a Swiss cream cheese roll and it was awesome. Also ordered a honeycomb iced latte which had great flavors--not overly sweet with a nice tasting espresso. Not for nothing, the dessert case is immaculate. If you're looking for aesthetic, this place is it. Plenty of places to sit if you're working remote. Really like this spot, and the prices are reasonable, same or less from big corporate named coffee shops. read more

Ya'll know I'm not a gatekeeper of the good spots. I was excited to see they were building a Korean cafe so close to me! This location is located right off Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Suwanee in a small shopping strip. This Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe location is really nice and spacious! Love the design and layout. Super eye candy. They have a variety of Korean breads in the middle section. They also have a pretty large selection of cakes both sliced and whole cakes in the cases. There's a variety of drink options- hold and cold that you can choose from. Our breads were ready and fresh and drinks were on point. It's an open concept design and definitely a place I would come to hang with my partner, friends, and even work from. I need to check if they have free WiFi the next time I'm there. Hope they do! This was the first time I have stopped by this bakery but have seen its franchises throughout the Suwannee and Duluth area. This appears to be one of the newly opened areas, and there was parking in the lot designated for this specific bakery which I really liked! The inside was very spacious and had plenty of seating available. They had a grand variety of buns, pastries, breads and some savory options as well. We got a strawberry pastry, garlic breadsticks, mocha bun, custard bun and strawberry croissant. We also ended up ordering 3 Thai Teas and my brother got a Caramel Macchiato. We got our drinks pretty quickly, and I really liked how the Thai Tea was not super sweet and very light! It was probably one of the best ones that I have had in a while! The garlic breadsticks were interesting since the bread had a hint of sweetness but the garlic was a nice savory complement on top. I really liked the custard bun, and I am sure that if it was heated up, it would taste even better! The baristas and person at the register were really nice and helped us choose our drinks and food items. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit! read more

And why is everything packaged up in plastic. It is common knowledge, food wrapped in plastic is unhealthy. And beside that, the treats look fake. read more

Store is spacious and clean and there are a few reserved spots for parking in the parking lot. We usually come to Hansel and Gretel to get cakes for birthdays and the like. The customer service at this bakery is appalling. I called on Tuesday to make an order for a specialty cake for my daughter 16th birthday to be picked up on Saturday. I sent information including pictures to the number that they specified. I received a telephone call in return to discuss the details of the cake. Amazing place, I loved the drinks, so beautiful inside, and all the pastries were lovely. What ruined my experience here was the rude barista in the back. I asked a simple question about the sweetness level in the drink and she was very blunt and had an attitude with her answer. I don't like feeling like an idiot when I just wanted a coffee. We have been waiting to try the newly opened Hansel & Gretel Bakery Cafe. Today, we went there for a late afternoon coffee. The new location is on Peachtree Industrial Blvd in Suwanee. It is quite clean, has an open floor plan with lots of seating. Very inviting. I was looking for a savory pastry, rather than sweet. The options were limited, but it was almost 5 pm, so I understood that they may be picked over. I selected a pizza roll. Looking at it, I thought it probably was filled with cheese and herbs. There was no other labeling on it. I selected this and hubby picked out a sweet roll. We both chose 12 oz Cafe Mochas (hot). The mocha's were perfect. They allow you to select or modify the sweetness of your mocha, we selected the least sweet. This is a great option, as you are able to get a better taste of the coffee The first bite of my pizza roll was yummy, a bit of herbs and garlic flavor. The second bite revealed that there was a hot dog running through the roll. This was a surprise, and I don't eat pork, so I was concerned. I went to the counter to ask if the hot dog was beef. The young man at the counter didn't know so he went to ask the owner/manager. They indicated that it was a pork/beef combination hotdog. I will give a great shoutout to the owner/manager, because while I didn't ask for money back or anything (it was my fault for not asking to start with), she noticed that I didn't eat anymore of the roll and was preparing to throw it away. She sent the young man over to tell me to please select any other roll to replace it. I explained my situation and suggested that if it's not apparent that there is meat in the roll, perhaps they could write on the label. I felt it was a good start to their business. I plan to give them another try in the future, but will definitely look more carefully. read more
