During our holiday visit to London, our family recommended the Happiness Café. So one rainy afternoon we parked across the street hopped over some road construction and blew thru the doors. The first impression of décor and display, it is clean, intentional, thoughtful and cozy. We perused the menu and I decided on the fig and cheese croissant, accompanied by an espresso martini. We found our seats at a table and I could not take my eyes off the artistic desserts on display. One in particular was a tree ornament, made of cake, it was shiny and beautiful, almost too pretty too eat. Almost. My only regret is that I didn't enjoy one, but I was too full after lunch. Our meals were delivered to our table and even though I wasn't very hungry when we arrived, the look and smell of the food fueled my appetite. My croissant creation was filled with fresh ingredients and the decadent combination of savory and sweet hit the spot. The espresso martini was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, a husband and wife team. Both very stylish, with warm smiles and welcoming conversation. The wife is the pastry chef, I had to wonder if she ever had time to sleep considering the array of beautiful desserts on display and what it must take to perfect them, individually. We look forward to returning on our next visit to London hopefully during the warmer months to enjoy their patio, and THIS time, dessert first! And maybe second! Now that we are back home in Los Angeles, I find myself wishing we had a Happiness Café. I was in Beverly Hills yesterday at the Rodeo Collection and I visited a café with hopes that it might compare, but it was missing the warmth and artistry of Happiness Café. read more

I like this cafe. It's operated by a very couple. The waffles are amazing. They have tasty pastries as well. But seriously, try the waffles.

They have two plugs inside for electronics if you're going to hang out to study or work but one is hard to access and the music is very loud so it's difficult to have a quiet conversation or focus on a task. It's a cute spot, there's tons of seating outside and the staff are nice. FYI a plain green tea is $4.50 and they prompt for tip on top of that. I believe this place is geared more towards selling lunch/dessert rather than offering people a quiet space talk or work. read more

A favourite from the time they opened as the quality of the desserts and specialty coffees is reminiscent of travels to Europe. The owners are extremely friendly and excellent at engaging with customers in real time and on social media. The unique ability to print on "food" as a medium for that special gift or treat makes them a niche provider to get that unusual something. Constantly evaluating the needs and wants of their customers and responding as they grow their flavour profiles and diverse selections of treats to put some "happiness" in your day makes return visits a must. Hiding in plain sight makes them easy to find and easier to return to. The honey cake and the mousse cakes are a must try.....well it's all a must try. Disappointed and unimpressed. My best friend loved the cafe and their desserts and wanted their Boho baby reveal cake for her baby shower. The cake was ordered and upon pick-up, her gender reveal was RUINED as the outside of the cake was frosted in the colour of the gender IN AN OPEN VIEW CAKE BOX PACKAGE. She was completely distraught and cried all the way home. The surprise was completely ruined and she was unable to enjoy the gender reveal with her husband. As a business that makes cakes for special occasions, I would expect for an occasion like that the cake would be FULLY enclosed and COVRED COMPLETELY so that the cake would not be visible given that the frosting was the colour of the gender. You don't know who is picking up the cake! The lack of due diligence is astounding, especially for an occasion like this. Additionally, upon sharing her grievance with the cafe, she was treated with disrespect and rude behaviour from the manager and a lack of accountability. No apology nor resolution for this grievance was relayed by the manager. You have just lost numerous customers. Will not buying anything from this cafe ever again! read more

I sense this place has great potential and I just ordered the wrong things, because although I really liked the service, ambience, and collection, I wasn't overly happy with the 10$ I paid for a weak tea and OKAY cake. But this could be remedied by picking different flavours. Some of their drinks and sandwiches are priced, but the desserts in the display case weren't, which I suspect was my downfall. I would come here again if I was with someone who was craving a cute spot for dessert or a light lunch, but I don't think I can vouch for it until I have a really stellar experience. I was looking for a bakery in London that was open on a Monday. I was excited that I found one close to where I was and received good reviews on Yelp. I called and pre-ordered donuts for my husband's birthday to be picked up in a few hours. After I prepaid, I saw an offer for 15% off your first order on yelp. I called Happiness and they told me they knew nothing about the offer. I spoke with the manager at the other location and she would not honor the coupon. I even took screen shots and emailed them to her. I received no response back and no coupon. I could understand if they had no reviews or wasn't active on yelp. However, as a business owner, you should update your pages and looking through review sites, good or bad. I was not looking for a hand out and I can absolutely pay for my treats. I can't imagine I'm the only person that has seen this. Despite the treats being delicious (mousse cakes and donuts), this is poor customer service. I won't be going there again. read more

It's very fancy. The decoration is amazing! And the desserts are all gourmet. They gave me a fork, for my donut! (Which kind of made me uncomfortable) I've tried all their desserts except their waffles, and I would say the donuts are the best you'll get there. The price is... pricey. It's around $7 for any dessert (Which are all the size of a donut/slice of cake) I'm not sure if the price is worth it, in fact, I was thinking about making this a 3 star review. Just because the desserts are fancy, doesn't necessarily mean they're better than anything you can get from Tim Hortons or.. an ice cream store. I have tried pastries from Happiness and I loved them. I was very interested in the job, but I have been rejected by them because I am Deaf. They literally discriminated and ignored me and they were rude for Deaf people. I won't be going again. I am not a joke. read more
