We attempted to place a takeout order while on the road cruising south, which began amicable enough. My husband was being exceedingly friendly and patient on the phone, but the woman kept rudely interrupting him. I'm not going to read our menu she said. But he wasn't even asking for that. A quick rundown of some of their available sandwiches was all he wanted, nothing more...How long would that have taken, maybe ten seconds? Instead she kept trying to get us off the phone, then ending it abruptly. Said she was missing other customer calls, then dead air. Excuse me. What are we, chopped liver? Pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a good old fashioned greasy burger diner after hunting. This was much healthier and the hand crafted sandwich with quality ingredients didn't leave me feeling bloated like a burger would have, and, the food was really delicious. I dropped in for lunch, not really hungry but with time to kill. Got the special, chicken salad on a croissant and a side salad. The salad was simple but very fresh--crunchy lettuce, lots of diced tomatoes that were red, not pink, and a sprinkle of finely grated cheddar. The sandwich was very good, loaded with shredded chicken, finely diced celery, pecans, and not too much mayonnaise. The only suggestion I would make is to slice the red grapes. They make the salad delicious but when they are whole, they tend to fall out. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the decor is pleasant and clean. If I'm hungry in Purcell at lunchtime on a weekday, I'll come here again. read more

If I could leave a 10-Star review I would. One of the best sandwiches I've eaten in my life (Carolina Pulled Pork). Loaded potato salad was wonderful. The Cilantro coleslaw was an inventive and creative take on a side item and was enjoyed. Great service and smiles. Will visit many times in the future (hopefully near). Be sure to give a 5 star review or the owner will take it down. I left a 2 star and now it is nowhere to be found. I bought an Italian sandwich that tasted weird. The cilantro coleslaw was ok, but they almost gave enough for 3 forkfulls. I took half of the sandwich home to my teenage granddaughters. They wouldn't eat. Neither would the wife. Outside of Florida, I've never found a Cuban that lived up to it's name - until this place! Gourmet sandwiches, salads & soups, plus yummy deserts w/ a great atmosphere & wonderful owners I make sure to try their daily specials if it's something I've never had in order to give their full menu a shot. Our surgery crew went this afternoon for lunch and let me say that we were all very satisfied with our meals. Two had the loaded mac n cheese with pork and stated " it was delicious", I had the grilled cheese "best grilled cheese I have had in a long time" and one had the southwest salad "very filling and loved the poblano ranch dressing". We sat at one of the picnic tables and absolutely loved the decor and ambience of the restaurant. We only sampled a few things from the menu but we as a group will be returning for lunch again soon!
