This is not the breakfast spot to visit if you want highly ornate dishes or interesting fusions to post to your socials. FOOD: Our waitress didn't recommend the steaks so I felt reluctant to accept the Chicken Fired Steak, but went along anyways. Food came out pretty fast once the waitress put our orders in. So again a lil reluctant as it came out to see if the food was going to taste good; it look good. My Chicken Fried Steak was small, but decent and flat. I still had to add Tabasco for more flavor. Overall the family enjoyed their food, but weren't in love with it. Toast bread sizes were valuable and great tasting but if there is jelly there should be some butter as well?!? SERVICE: Our waitress was very helpful and empathic because our 2 year started to get rowdy and understood the chaos. Food came out quick right when the order went in. So great on that, but made me feel reluctant to see if the taste and quality would be great. But again the food size was smaller than expected. A lot of hash brown to compensate for the smaller sizes. ARRANGEMENT: Didn't like that you had to seat yourself especially with this place being very well recommended to eat breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Self seating made it chaotic and unorganized bc people will ultimately choose their own spacing and how much to overtake for the inability of the servers to successfully maneuver effectively and safely without any incident of crashing into someone or any sudden standings of consumers standing and getting in their way. As well as booth that made to fit a large family or group be taken by a couple of two bc they were inconsiderate of those that may come in with a big party. Also, with self seating consumers would take adjacent tables to create and rearrange their own seating. Chaotic. The booths were probably a comfortable two person seating thought they had so much room to established an organization and set aisle arrangement but they did not do it. The tables alone were very small in spacing that If you did have a big size group ordering sizable food the table would be congested and unfit that give possibilities of accidents too happen occasionally as well class cause room and capacity discomfort. To include how small the tables were, they added an abundance of condiments and table accessories but NO extra napkins besides the silverware it was wrapped around. So recommend bigger booths and tables, no self seating, and an arrangement of booths and tables for permanent seating. Also, with the tightened arrangement it made it comfortable for both parties (server and consumer) bc when my waitress had to grab the plates off our table to help with the cluster her arms and plates were right in front of my face. We ate pretty fast bc we wanted to get out as soon as possible as well as wanted to make out hit time for any of the other arrangements we had today but would've stayed and ate comfortably if we were more comfortable. Parking was sensible due to the established being located in a small strip mall of other business. PRICING: Adequate to the size and portion of your food. Not sure if they charged us for refills, but the waitress was on point with refilling our glass. I can see why others recommended this place but overall I'd rate this area a 2.5 or maybe 2.8 star. I don't recommend coming to eat here if you have a big family or sizable group, but if you do I'd call in advance to ensure they have the capacity and ability to arrange an area for you. People did recommend the omelettes, but I'm an omelette consummator and I hold a high degree of making my own omelettes; plus seeing the results of the omelettes made didn't help. read more

The food was not good, you could taste the griddle grease on everything. The toast, the homestyle potatoes and the omelette. I got a Western Omelette, the onions and bell peppers were still very crunchy and raw. Not to mention the food temperature wasn't quite hot when our food got out to the table. If you're looking for a good ol diner breakfast at a decent price, Sunny Side Up has got you covered. It was busy when we came on Saturday. It's Seat Yourself service. There were no tables available but after just a couple minutes, one opened up for us. Our waitress was very nice. Our food was very tasty and satisfying. My only critique on my food was that my corned beef omelette had very little corned beef in it, but it was still good. Also didn't like that when we checked out with the cashier, we paid with card and he asked us what we would like to tip. They give no option to fill in your own tip and sign the receipt. After we told him how much, he took that much in cash from the drawer and put it in the tip jar... very strange. read more

If you like eating breakfast, this is the best place in Moore to eat hands-down. Nothing fancy, but a nice clean building with an attentive staff. Everybody watches out to make sure your dining experience is good. While you're eating, there is a nice hum and buzz with people enjoying their time and breakfast in the restaurant. This place always seems to be busy. This is nothing new to the people that eat here because there seems to be a lot of regulars among the patrons. My kids and I went for breakfast. The service was great. I loved the home style diner feel, they knew their regulars and even though we have never been, they were certainly kind. The food was out quick too. My son got pancakes and sausage, he liked them. I got an omelet and they cooked it well as well as hash browns. My daughter got sunny side up and something else, hashbrowns maybe. But it was the flavor. We thought it tasted like dirty oil. I can't say that's what it was, but neither of us could eat our food. I tried to put extra cheese on top and then ketchup too, but the flavor overpowered those things. The regulars love it. I heard them saying, "see ya tomorrow" or "see ya next week". I would probably try it again, just another few months or year or so. The service is great, the seating is great, i just can't shake that taste. Very very good breakfast. As you come in, there is a sign to sit wherever you want to. We were greeted and had our coffee and menu quickly. Our sever was friendly and patient with us. As we had a rough start to our morning journey, she helped change our outlook of the day. She patiently answered every question and has a beautiful smile. The eggs were cooked the way we asked them to be and the extra crispy hash browns I ordered were delicious. My husband said the biscuits were the best he has had in a long time. I passed by the other morning and was intrigued. I returned this morning to find a great breakfast joint. How do I know this? Sit at a counter in a diner and wait for the regulars. If there are regulars the place is good. What I didn't expect was that there is a large group of regulars and the place was excellent. It's not fancy. It's nicer than Waffle House, about the same as a Denny's or IHOP feel. But it had that family run business nuance that makes it that much nicer. I was surprised to see a sign that said they were closed on Tuesdays. That's an odd day to close, but ok. There are omelets of every kind you would ever want. I had two eggs, perfectly over easy, lain on top of tasty hash browns, that all covered with cheese and green onions and that all covered by white gravy, with a side of sausage, toast and a cup of coffee. Another Terry and Dawn breakfast adventure. This time we ended up in Moore again. We pulled in the parking lot of the Sunny Side Up diner and it was packed for 8 am on a Sunday. It's seat yourself so we grabbed a window booth. The parking lot was a bit misleading as there were a lot of free seats. Lol. First of coffee...on a scale of 1-5, 5 being perfect, dark, and full flavored, this was a bit weak and I'm giving it a 3. I usually worry about the food if my coffee doesn't stand up so I was a bit leery. Our waitress was pleasant and very attentive. Again, I love a place where the wait staff know their regulars. We both ordered omelettes. I ordered a bacon, jalapeño, cheddar, and spinach one. Our waitress suggested I try American cheese as it is great with that combo. She wasn't wrong. I was very pleased with my omelette. Terry ordered ham and cheese and his was good as well. Over and over he remarked how soft and fluffy the biscuits were. I think these may have been his favorite biscuits we've had in a long time. We definitely think this is one of the better breakfast joints we've been to and if you find yourself hungry you might just drop in for a bite. :) On a side note I was a little disturbed to see a man walk in with his dog. A tiny purse size dog. I love our dog but I only take her to dog appropriate places that have dog friendly patios. read more

This was very mediocre in my opinion. The service was very friendly but the food was very blah. I had an omelette with olives, peppers, tomatoes and cheese. I asked for my hash browns crispy and sour dough toast. The omelette was very bland, the hash browns were way too crispy and super greasy. It tasted like they threw them in the deep fryer. The toast was stale. I also found it strange they don't have French fries on the menu, how can you eat a hamburger without fries? Like I said, service was very friendly but food was blah. And I thought it was comical to have a bin by the register with a sign asking for tips for the cooks! Give me a break! Last time I came here was over a year ago, and it wasn't great enough for me to become a regular. Previously, the wait was super long, and food was not great. Fortunately, this last visit turned my frown upside down! We walked in to a sign that said seat yourself and there were booths open while the restaurant was still full. Almost immediately, our server came to greet us. We ordered a couple breakfast combos and got much more food than expected. I think each combo is about $6-$8 and you definitely get what you pay for and then some. This time the food was a ton better than before, but still not perfect. My favorites were the grits, pancakes, and sausage links. Grits and pancakes were perfectly fluffy and hot. Sausage links were divine. Then there were other foods that needed a tiny bit of work. The chicken sandwich was soggy, but still a great flavor. The eggs could have used more flavor, and I wish you got more than one pancake as a side. The only other thing was the chocolate milk was overloaded with choc syrup. Wish it could have been toned down a bit. Our server was a very nice lady. She was on point the whole breakfast. Always refilled our drinks before we could even ask. She also checked on us several times without being overbearing. And our food was served within mere minutes of us ordering.
