Food was amazing. The el Branco burrito was great as was the quesadilla. Service was good and the atmosphere was super fun.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SMELLS HORRIBLE WAY TOO HOT IN THE RESTAURANT 85 DEGREES IN THE BUILDING. Only good thing was the waiter who was very cute and the service from him was pretty good and the food was absolute dog poo the presentation of the food was good but the taste was horrible which we waited almost an hour just to order our food and the other waitresses were watching the dumb game on the TV

Happy Cinco de Mayo! We were actually staying in Fort Chiswell, but the closest Mexican restaurant was Cinco. It's a charming little place in a strip mall next to a Hampton Inn. We were greeted promptly at the door and shown to a table. Cinco has a a very colorful decor and friendly hosts and servers. There's a small bar toward the back of the restaurant. Since we weren't eating meat, vegetables were the order of the day. We were a bit thirsty so we decided to try a couple of Jugo de Aqua drinks. I got pineapple and my wife got mango. Wow the drinks were huge. I enjoyed my pineapple drink. It was a tad sweet, but had a lot of flavor, and it was ice cold. I tasted my wife's mango after she complained that it was a bit watery. She was right. It needs a little less aqua and a little more Jugo. While we are waiting for our entrées of vegetarian fajita and quesadilla, we passed the time munching on the tortilla chips and salsa. The vegetable fajita came out sizzling. They initially forgot the tortillas, but I hailed a waitress and she brought me a couple in a jiffy. We were quite impressed with the food (dinner style Mexican cuisine is something I don't eat very often, Cinco does a nice job, apparently others think so because it was quite busy by the time we left. The refried beans seemed homemade and the vegetables were seasoned well without relying on too much salt--tasty and cooked just right. My wife enjoyed her quesadilla. It had a bit too many mushrooms to her liking (she doesn't care for mushrooms), but she remarked that anything with queso can't be bad! And it was good queso. Cinco was a nice find, and we highly recommend it!

We stopped here on an interstate trip since it was close to the highway and gas. I ate my food but wouldn't come back. From the first impression, it looks relatively unimpressive with a worn out facade in a worn out strip mall. At noon on a Monday it was almost vacant. In hindsight, you can judge this book by its cover. Decor inside was nice but the place seemed very worn out. Lots of things held together by tape, paint coming off the walls, and otherwise just looking worn down. I went to the bathroom first and it was dirty and smelled like mildew. Service was fast and friendly upfront though chip and beverage refills only happened near the end of the meal when we flagged her down to ask for them. First impressions are key, and beyond the building itself, food also made a poor first impression. The chips were cold and stale and the cheese dip very runny with a weird after taste. The salsa was good and the large guac contained jalapeños and was decent. As for lunch entrees: the choripollo had a good flavor and was cooked right. The chili verde with pork was tender and seasoned well. The fajita steak was lukewarm and tough. Across the board the rice was cool and bland, and the beans were oddly pale and with almost no flavor. The sour cream tasted stale like it had been uncovered in a refrigerator for a while. This is one of those places you stop at once because you didn't know better, and never come back. The food was decent enough to fill a belly but leaves you wanting more. If there are regulars here, I assume it's only because they don't know better options are out there. On the bright side, the prices were cheap for the serving size. If you need to get a full belly for cheap, this would suit that need.

Fantastic experience. Food - Excellent, Service - great, Friendliness - absolutely. If you live in (although surely the real ones know) or are staying in the Ft Chiswell Max Meadows area of Virginia off I-77/81, make sure you eat here if you like Mexican. We both got enchiladas, me the Chori, her the deluxe, both were filling with great portions and taste was amazing. Maybe the best, and certainly most unique, refried beans I've ever had. We were passing through for the holidays and stayed next door at the Hampton and were very thankful we looked into eating here. Thanks Yelp! These dinners in Cle Ohio area would've been $17-18 per plate and not nearly as good. These were $10.50 and $9.99!!! Excellent stuff! Thank you so much Happy Cinco de Mayo!! (Pic is of my Chori enchiladas minus a bite or two)

Fun, festive atmosphere. Great food. Complimentary chips and salsa were very good. We each got fajitas. Veggies was large and delicious. Beef were also very good. Accompanying items were also tasty. Affordable.

Gluten Intolerant Friendly!!!! My daughter can't eat gluten, nor food cross contaminated with gluten foods. They fried her fries separately in a pan, just for her, in order to avoid cross contamination in fryer oil! Very impressed! Inside decorations were fun, setting atmosphere for Mexican festivities. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Chips and Salsa - I found the salsa to be a little bland. I added salt which really helped. Queso - tasted good but very runny. I normally prefer my queso to be thick so it generously covers the chips. Chicken Mole - wasn't on menu but they happily made for me. Sauce had a nice savory chocolate flavor but no heat spice. There was hot sauce available on each table and it was perfect after a little of that bottled heat. Made with chicken breast meat. Chori-Pollo - Chorizo covered chicken. Good traditional chorizo flavor. Ribeye Steak - Daughter ordered a steak, one of the gluten free meal options. She really enjoyed it. Yellow Mexican Rice - came as standard side. It was really delicious! Margarona was good. There is something about a Corona mixed with a frozen Margarita that I love. It's my goto drink at Mexican restaurants. Large Beer was huge. Came in 1 Liter mug.

Located inside the Bolling Wilson hotel on the ground floor, in the front left corner of the building as you walk in from the street front. An updated traditional small interior, with lots of seating outside both on the porch and side patio. We were greeted walking in and opted to sit on the front porch since it was a nice afternoon the day of our visit. Service is professional, kind and attentive. Our server was prompt with our drink orders, appetizer and entrees, and checked on us enough without being overly intrusive. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Starting with the Griddled Focaccia eith balsamic reduction drizzle. A great starter, simple, well prepared and delicious. I opted for the Mustard grilled Pork Chop with a Devils backbone Lager. The chop was nicely prepared but a little overcooked (dry) not bad but still overcooked. Good flavor and a nice presentation, however it was dry which made it tough to cut. The flavor and the sauce made it palatable though, just wish it had been tender and not dry. 4 Stars - All in all, still a decent meal with great service in a nice comfortable locale. 01236

The covered patio is fantastic--it sits perfectly between buildings, creating a light, refreshing breeze that makes outdoor dining incredibly comfortable. Our first server, Cassidy, was so amazing that we specifically requested her on our second visit. As for the food, you really can't go wrong. My husband, mother-in-law, and I tried the Philly cheesesteaks and tortellini on day one, and followed it up with the baked ziti, manicotti, and broccoli Alfredo on visit number two. Our pasta entrée's came with a fresh tossed or Caesar salad, and they start you off with warm, soft bread that has the perfect crust. The portions are incredibly generous (expect leftovers!), making the pricing very reasonable. For my husband and me, our bill was only around $45 including soft drinks. We love this spot for lunch and can't wait to come back for dinner and drinks!

One always has a delightful dining experience here. Today, I decided to dine there on the way to going to watch the Actic Productions musical of Into The Woods which was being performed at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center in Fincastle, Virginia. I arrived soon after they had opened at four in the late afternoon. A friendly young lady greeted me at the Host's station right at the entrance of the restaurant and after asking me where would I prefer to seat, took me to the table of my choice. Studying the menu it was not easy to choose what to get from the great variety of dishes. But by the time my sever Kaylee arrived with a big smile and welcoming attitude I had made my decision. I would start off with a Mojito Mocktail to drink. As appetizer I ordered their Coconut Shrimp, followed by a House side salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. And as my main entrée, their 8oz Filet cooked medium-rare. I asked the server for the items to be spaced out and to have the salad before the main entrée. The Mojito Mocktail tasted wonderful. As I was enjoying it a young gentleman server assistant brought me the Coconut Shrimps and they looked amazing. They were enormous in size, very crispy on the outside and fresh and moist in the inside. One of the best that I have ever had. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the high-quality of their food. Then came the salad which also looked and tasted wonderful. Almost right after bringing me the salad, they brought me the main entrée of the Filet cooked to perfection with a loaded Baked Potato. I don't like when this happens, but the food was so good that I patiently ate it and then asked to speak to the manager. There was no manager on site but the person in charge of the kitchen came to see me and I explained the concept of timing to him as a constructive criticism, letting him know that everything was so exquisite that I was not upset, just wanted him to know so that in the future when this is corrected both the other customers and I could have a more pleasant dining experience and enjoy our food better. For dessert I had their Strawberry Shortcake and it was amazingly delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in the middle. This was the Grand Finale of an excellent meal. The incident of the timing, suddenly didn't seem to matter that much because they took my feedback gracefully and I was able to teach them a lesson in fine dining. In conclusion I continue to highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to returning to try one of their other amazing items from their menu.
