I'll start by saying I have been a customer here for 5+ years, and every experience I've had up until this point has always been very pleasant. Yesterday I went in for an appointment, I'd already interacted with their employees, had my feet in the water. The lady working on me walks up and asks if I have a mask. I said no. She said I needed one. I said I had one in my car. She was audibly exasperated and walked away and came back with a mask. I'll admit it was my bad for forgetting it, but I wish they'd have mentioned it on the phone when I called or when I first walked in. She starts the massage, and the whole time it felt like she was angry at me about the mask. It felt rushed (even though an hour is an hour?), and honestly it felt like she was trying to hurt me; I have tender spots on both my upper arms today. In the past they will start on your scalp and spent a good amount of time on shoulders. She spent maybe three minutes on my shoulders right at the very end which was disappointing. And even that was mostly over the towel. At one point a walk in customer came in and she left my massage to go and talk to them even those there was other employeees in the building. No apology and definitely didn't add the time onto the end. Just overall not relaxing at all and I wish I'd gotten up and left serveral times. So at the end I paid and asked the man at the front 'are you under different ownership now? Because I've been coming here for years and that was completely different than anything I've experienced here' at which part the man took out his phone and called (I'm assuming) the owner because he knew very little English. I asked the question again, she asked if it was my first time (I repeated again I'd been coming for five years). Then she asked what she wanted her to do about it. I tried to explain I just wanted to see if the ownership had changed over and if this was the experience I should expect in the future. Before I could finish my sentence she cuts me off and says 'fine you take your money back!' And hangs up the phone!! The poor guy at the desk looked embarrassed and starts trying to hand me back my money. I said 'no I received the service so I'll pay for it' (I was never trying to get refund) and walked out in tears. I'm so shocked and disappointed! I've talked this place up for years and always called it my reset button because I'd feel so much better afterwards. That is not the case physically or emotionally, so I will not be returning. I'm not sure what changed but the older reviews are not reflective of how this place is operated now. read more

This is a great place to come to decompress and relax and to help with any kinks you have on your back or feet. It is a very enjoyable experience. They spend time ensuring you leave happy. I've been going since I was pregnant and it was the first time I felt relief from my swollen feet, I'm now 18 months postpartum and will continue to go to have an hour break from the world. I've come before and the service at the front desk was sketchy but I kept coming back for cheap, deep massages. I called yesterday to ask if I could use an expired gift certificate. The OWNER told me over the phone that it would be fine and I made an appt. so I arrange for babysitting and drive 20 minutes to get here and now she has changed her mind. Apparently the gift certificate says it expired after 6 months, but that's not a hard, fast rule. It expires whenever the grouchy owner decides it does. I won't ever come back. I'll find another sketchy reflexology joint with nicer workers. I advise you do the same. UPDATE- Someone from this worthless place replied to my post. This is the place for you if you like light massage, done through layers of towel and clothing, with no pressure point work as is done in reflexology. I made an hour appointment for foot reflexology treatment focusing on the different pressure points of the feet in order to promote the qi (chee) flow. I was very clear when I made the appointment that I wanted an hour of work on my feet. I said the same when I arrived. Instead I received a tepid head/arm/foot/leg/back massage using mostly general rolling pressure along the muscles and very, very little pressure point activation. All done through a layer of clothing covered by a thick towel. Thus, even this was minimally effective. I allowed the practitioner to start the head massage as I thought perhaps she would eventually get to my feet. She did, but only after work done on arms and hands. When working on my feet she conversed with the practitioner in the next area for at least half the time she worked on my feet. This caused her to loose focus and lightly massage instead of an active therapy on the pressure points. It was easy to determine when the two practitioners weren't talking, as the pressure increased slightly when the conversation stopped I continue to look for a place in the east valley which practices true reflexology as opposed to massage where just the word reflexology is used. I experience more focused work with a pedicure than I received at Happy Feet Reflexology. I tipped the woman what I normally tip a massage therapist for the same amount of time. read more

No pressure point or reflexology massage here, just light "rubbing" that almost makes you irritated. I felt like I spent over an hour waiting for the massage to start... also is constant leaving the room & talking standard for a massage? I didn't think so. I definitely did not get the amount of time I requested but honestly there were many times I wished it would just be over... I made an appt for 3 people /90 min each (mistake) - all 3 of us had a different person and pretty much had the same experience. On a scale of 1-10 for pressure I like 11, I got -2. For anyone looking for light rubs and pats from someone with no awareness of your body - this is your place. read more

Happy Feet is always so accommodating to take last minute walk-in customers. The front desk is very polite. Just OK. I went in with a lot of tension in my neck, nothing got relieved. He moved very quickly, with minor pressure, and made me feel more stressed than relaxed. I don't understand why some "therapists" think that quickly sliding your hand over someone's back is actually massaging. This place was highly recommended by several friends and so I thought I'd try this place since I LOVE reflexology. I made an appointment and upon arrival realized I could get hot stones as well. I asked the guy if I could do half hot stones and half regulate foot massages. He said yes and I went to the back where the lady started working on me. At first she had a VERY LIGHT HAND and I could barley feel anything. She then started massaging my neck and was way to close to the front of my neck and it was painful. After a very underwhelming upper body massage she began to work ok my feet. The hot stones were so hot they burned my skin then she put so much oil that everything was sliding and I could not feel the massage at all. So I told her to not use the hot stones several times and to apply more pressured, she could not understand me and called the man at the front who began to literally coach her through the massage which wasn't getting any better. I had to argue for about 10 minutes with the two of them to apply more pressure and not use hot stones. At this point I just want this to end since it had been the most awful experience I've ever had, but I stuck it out considering I drove 20 minutes for this. Once she got to my back she used her elbow so deep I bruised my chin and my neck was so uncomfortable. I will add that she probably has never given a massage and has no experience at all. At the end when I was checking out the man asked me if the massage was good and well my answer was absolutely not and I'd never be back. He told me to talk to him next time yet, I had talked to him during the time I was there. This was the worst $35 and having been in the service industry I always tip but I could not even bring myself to spend a minute or a dollar more. read more

The only clothing I was asked to remove was my socks, otherwise he worked my 90 minute massage around my clothing (so I thought it wouldn't be as good) but it was a great amount of pressure and stretching. SUE was incredible! I was having sciatic pain literally emitting pain all the way down to my ankle. Pain pills didn't even help! Chiropractor didn't help! I bought the combo massage and reflexology . During the detox bath the machine didn't work & leaked all over the floor & they didn't give us full 30 min of detox bath because of problem & they cheated us 10 min of reflexology. Ok, there are what it seems one reflexology place per every 5 miles in Mesa, but this is our go to spot. Is it better than Thai Foot massage on Dobson? Eh...it's not as neat and pretty. But, they give one hell of a massage and I do love that my husband and I get our own room as opposed to being out in the open for all to see you sprawled out on a massage chair. I'm sure I don't look attractive with my mouth wide open snoring while someone massages my feet! Every tech I've had at Happy Feet is quite skilled and really takes their time to make sure you get a full quality massage. It is a full body massage that starts off by soaking your feet in hot water. You don't really tell them about your "problem" areas it seems they go thru a routine massage but it is relaxing, I enjoyed the foot and hand massage parts of the session. I paid $30 for the massage and left the masseuse a $10 tip. So for $40 out the door, you can be a great tipper and enjoy the 1 hour session to realign your mind, body and soul!! My best friend scheduled us for two hour massages. I fell asleep halfway through because it was so relaxing. Peter was my therapist and did a fantastic job and unlocked knots in my shoulders and feet. This is not a traditional massage where you undress on a table. this is a chair massage that lays down. wear comfy clothes and something you can roll up to the knee. the foot soak is great and everyone is nice. I made an appointment for my husband as a Father's Day gift and when he arrived the front office lady said he had no appointment. I hoped it was a mistake because the lady that took the appointment spoke terrible English and may have misunderstood his name. The front office lady was so incredibly RUDE and completely dismissed him. She did not take any time to speak with him about the issue and continuously answered the phone. Her entire attitude was terrible and she ruined a special gift. We will certainly not go near this business again. I walked in at 11:10 asked for an hour and was given a bottle of water and taken back to a room. I sat down and waited. At 11:20 someone walked by and peeked in the room and 11:30 again someone peeked in the room nothing, walked away! At 11:40 someone asked what I was waiting for, when I explained what I wanted the man at the front desk said something in a different language and walked away so, so did I.
