That timeline was the entire reason we chose them -- my wife is 38 weeks pregnant and we needed the house put back together before the baby arrives. The assessment took under three minutes. Once I mentioned I would be purchasing all the materials myself, that was apparently enough to commit to the schedule. Day one: the first worker arrived an hour late, the second arrived two hours after him. I had already moved all the furniture myself to save them time. I asked them to tell me when to clear the master bedroom; they told me to do it right then because they were almost there. I moved everything, and they immediately announced they were done for the day. I moved it all back so we would have one livable room. Day two: I took the day off work to be there and coordinate. Fifteen minutes before the start of the arrival window, they called to reschedule. The owner's first offer was the following Friday -- a full week later. On the phone he said Wednesday and promised to call me back in ten minutes to confirm. He never called. He emailed my wife instead. The offer eventually became Monday. We hired an independent handyman who came out the next morning, a Saturday, and finished the job. We told Response Crew in writing that we would pay for the labor they actually completed. The invoice they sent charged us for materials we bought ourselves at Lowe's. We have the receipts, which were sent to the owner, and he acknowledged them by email -- while also saying he would refund us "if" we bought them and that he was not in a position to check. We are disputing the charge. A guaranteed two-day job became an open-ended one. Direct communication became evasive. And we were billed for materials we paid for out of our own pocket. I would not hire them again and I would not recommend them.

Ariel sanded down the protrusions and it now fits perfectly. He has a unique ability to not only diagnose problems but to quickly identify a viable solution. He told me he thought he could make it work and asked it I could return the adapter for a refund, making it inconvenient for me. He needed to go to the store for a part he did not have on his truck. He go two parts, he said he didn't know which one was the right one. Also I assited him in turning off breakers to locate the right breaker for the light switch. Total job took 3 hours and I was billed $287 for which he refunded me $28 as I had to return the extra part for for a refund. He cleaned up nicely when finished. I couldn't get the refund because he paid for it with a card so he Zelled me the price for part.

He identified that the Schlage hardware had a lifetime warranty on the finish and orchestrated that successful claim for me. I subsequently asked him to help with some nail pops, caulking, woodwork repairs on quarter round and a piece of crown molding, shower door seal replacements. During all that I remembered I had an exterior floodlight which had a corroded fixture due to leakage into the unit. He replaced it and took care to seal any exposed wiring. He even noticed that a rain gutter was full of debris and cleaned it, recognizing that overflow near the light fixture was a likely cause of corrosion. Peter also identified the cause of inoperable can / high hat lights in the soffits as corrosion and sealed new replacements properly. I'd had the lights replaced peviously by a licensed electician who simply installed new ones without bothering to identify and fix the cause of the of the corrosion Peter is skilled and creative in resolving annoying homowner issues. I highly recommend his services.

Shortly after the walk through I received a detailed fixed quote that was very fair. I had already spent weeks researching moving companies and their process and did not like what I heard. I was told since I did not have a full house move my items would share a truck with other households and that my items could be transfered to another truck along the route. The potential for lost items, damage and extended deadlines was highly likely from customer reviews. When Joseph explained that the Strong Brothers Moving process was to personally pack all items, load the truck, make the drive and unload at the final destination I knew I found a company I could trust to take care of the move. Joseph and Andrew took such great care wraping the furniture in protective blankets, carefully packing boxes of generations of family china and crystal that all arived in perfect condition. Additionally they carefully protected a very large collection of artwork that also arrived without a scratch. My daughter recommended Evan with Happy Installs. He installed her pull down wall bed. Evan was very accommodating to my schedule. His arrival was punctual even with over an hour commute. I was very impressed on how much knowledge Evan has on so many different projects throughout my house. He installed 2 ceiling fans, removed a ceiling light fixture, mounted a floating wall mantle with mirror, calibrated and registered on line 3 Honeywell wall thermostats, that me or my family could not figure out. He also installed a cell phone booster system that gave me 3 extra signal bars after only having 1. He adjusted several of my cabinet doors and drawers that have shifted from this new house settling. Evan and Justin from Happy Installs assembled a full Murphy bed and a twin bunk Murphy bed, two very complicated projects that they did in about 6 hours. They showed up on schedule and did an excellent job. In fact, they came back the next day on short notice to remove some springs that I had installed (not them) previous to their arrival. Per the manufacturer's recommendation, the springs had to be cut, definitely a risky operation. I was very impressed Evan's calm approach to the problem, which was resolved satisfactorily. This is a 4' X 8' simple shed, vinyl, and I have the pavers and the plywood for the foundation. The manufacturer estimates a 2 to 4 hour job. So $1000 would be a $500-$250 an hour charge! Hoo wee! I spent $900 on all the materials. Others quoted $250-$400 to do the job. Sorry, I can't recommend their handyman services. So take this review as if I went to a store, found that they were charging $16 for a gallon of milk. I didn't buy the milk, but I certainly cannot recommend buying that store's milk. And if you would read the owner's comments to the 1 and 2 star reviews including this one, the tone of his voice is telling. When a business receives a bad rating or review or a customer complaint, it is a great opportunity to make good and create immense good will, not only with the customer in question, but for anyone reading the review and how it was handled. More business owners would do well to learn this lesson. ***UPDATE So the owner then sends me a personal message to further berate me. This is unprofessional and childish behavior. After several attempts to acquire details that would require $800 rather than$400, we haggled back and forth by text message, with him dodging my questions with pledges to "get back to you tomorrow", or some such. I had ready prepaid the $400 he demanded thru PayPal when our dialog ended, with his pledge to refund (most) of that $400 prepayment. That was the last word from him, and that was three weeks ago! Let this be a warning to NOT prepay for a project that doesn't at most pay for some of the materials and perhaps travel. Don't get taken to the cleaners as I had. I may have dismissed a loss of $400, but at least it didn't become the $800 he was licking his lips over.

The backsplash was challenging as I used large 12x24 ceramic floor tiles with inlays of glass/metal/ceramic small rectangular tiles behind the stove and interspersed elsewhere. Their tile person was fanatic about making these inlays set at the same depth as the floor tile, and even cut and rearranged the sheets of small tiles behind the stove for a more random look. The cabinetry is perfect. The glass special cut bar that sits over the quartz countertop came out perfect too. We could not be happier with the results. They also fixed our remodeled shower floor (it leaked) when they hadn't even installed it. There was a change of ownership right in the middle of this project and the people who did our bath remodel dropped the ball. Gallery Kitchen and Bath (thank you!!) took the shower floor down to the base; repaired that so the water would drain properly, put in the correct drain, and now the shower is functioning as it should with no leaking. Yes, I knew what I wanted for each project and did not depend on them too much for design, but for construction and pulling everything together. We would use this company again any time. The job was finally completed on 23 August 2023. That is 1 year, 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days (450 days) to complete the job! I was told up front that it would take 12 to 16 weeks to build and ship the new cabinets. Other materials, I was told, are readily available locally. The 12 to 16 week window passed with not a word from Gallery Kitchen & Bath. Several more weeks passed with no communication. Eventually I received a message from Cody in the office giving me excuses but no further information. She said that as soon as she has more information, she will let me know. That statement turned out to be a lie! Several more weeks passed during which my new cabinets were shipped to Gallery Kitchen & Bath and stored in their storage room. Cody did not contact me to tell me of the arrival of the cabinets as she had promised. I continued to impatiently wait for information which never came. Phone messages went unanswered, e-mails went unanswered. I drove to their storefront during normal business hours to find the door locked and nobody inside. I thought they might have run off with my check. I filed a claim with the Registrar of Contractors. Filing a formal claim finally got the attention of Nicholas, the owner of Gallery Kitchen & Bath. We had a meeting with an agent from ROC, Nicholas, and me. At that meeting Nicholas gave lots of excuses and apologies and promised me that he would start work on my project as soon as he finishes up other projects. In the presence of our ROC agent, Nicholas looked me in the eye and told me that he plans to start working on my project around the first week of March, 2023. Once he starts working on my project, that will be the only project he is working on until completion. There will be no interruptions in the workflow for my project. That statement also turned out to be a lie! Five months, 1 week, 6 days (166 days) later the job was finally complete. Obviously, there were a few interruptions! One day after completion I received a message from Cody. She was in a hurry to get the final payment that I owed. Gallery Kitchen & Bath was in no hurry to work on my project, but they were certainly quick to demand my final payment. In fairness I must say that the work that was performed in my home was very good. The workers were conscientious, knowledgeable, helpful, and detail oriented. I have no complaints at this time with the quality of work. Because of the lies, horrible scheduling, and absence of communication, I would never recommend Gallery Kitchen & Bath for any job.

The way I would describe L& Son construction & Remodeling is he's very Quick, efficient, and professional. He gave us a time frame and was done before that time which was awesome! Thankful for the great job he did and for the price we paid, we couldn't be happier. We now have GFCI outlets all through our home! We will be going through L& Sons for our next project& I recommend this company for sure!
