Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, ginger, hazelnut, peanuts, coffee - it's all here. My favourites? The milk chocolate orange tablet, or the premium dark chocolate tablet. Divine. Expect great service, the sales assistants are fantastic and helpful. If you can't make up your mind or just need some great advice make sure you catch their eye. All the varieties they have recommended to me or my family have been winners. If you are after a gift consider getting one of the selections that come in various sizes. There are ones devoted to particular types of chocolate, or enormous ones that have samples of almost every flavour. A word of warning: avoid at Easter or close to Christmas. Don't even try unless it is within the first hour of opening.

I don't mean that they simply pour their own chocolate in the molds or package it themselves... but that they manage the entire production process from the very beginning. From the raw cacao bean right through to the samples handed out by their staff. I've always admired their dedication to this entire process, one of the few Australian companies to do so. I also like that they go for classic flavours and don't do anything too "out there" when it comes to flavourings and fillings. Sure, interesting flavours are great - but Haigh's does classic chocolate excellently and for that I respect them highly.

Wow, this is how you know I'm behind in my reviews. I'm already three weeks past for this review :P…read moreSo anyways, I had just finished the wonderful time eating a burger when I saw a chocolate store to my left upon exiting. Chocolate? I love chocolate! So I went in and got some more even though I had got some earlier that same day HAHA. They have a WIDE range of chocolate that they put in a really small store. There are a lot of chocolate (white, dark, or milk - maybe even more) that's mixed with fruit (raisins, orange, strawberries). They have a wide assortment and my eyes only had about 3 minutes to look through everything, so I just got stuff that my eyes saw interesting. Chocolate covered strawberries, I believe they were milk chocolate. You get freeze dried strawberries with chocolate surrounding it. It's basically a malt ball with a hint of strawberry inside. This was one pretty good, better than what I was expecting. The strawberry flavor isn't a lot, but you can get it come out if you bite the chocolate in half. :P They had dark chocolate peppermint. PEPPERMINT. They have it all over as pieces and they're refreshing. It comes out of left field and you totally will enjoy it if you're a fan of peppermint :D The chocolate melted so this went in the refrigerator when I got back to LA (LA WHYYY) so I didn't get to eat this first D: Shoulda. Get it if you're a fan of peppermint! There was also 99% chocolate here. I'm assuming the person I got it for enjoyed it. ;) Totally would have gotten more if I had more time, or if I had more room in my luggage HAHA. On DeGraves, in case! The price for the three was 35AUD so the price is kinda high. I think.

Honest chocolate, experimentally executed, well worth visit.read more

They weren't lying when they said this place is for the Chocoholics. Looking at how the Chocolate is made and where it comes from was really interesting! I also loved the atmosphere, super comfortable and not too big and not too small. As for the Chocolate, it was amazing. My favourite was the Chocolate Fudge, super nice, beautiful texture, and melts in your mouth. Overall an amazing experience, 5 stars.

It's not what you'd find in any café or chocolatier. This bad boy is a traditional Belgian style hot chocolate. Sitting at the bottom of your huggable mug is pure smooth melted chocolate. It's different to try, but once you master the stir, then drink method, you'll find it to be the chocolatiest hot chocolate you've ever had. Reaching the bottom, you will want to finish every drop of this melted chocolate. They come in different chocolates, milk, white, dark or chili dark chocolate. That chili dark hot chocolate gets me every time. Besides the café portion, of course there are two gorgeous display windows holding all of the truffles. Both windows are the same, so pick one and start choosing. It's sold by weight, so go all out, who knows when you'll be back? Staff here are amazing with suggestions, if you have food allergies or prefer something specific (fruit/nut/crème) and they'll point you in the right direction. Besides truffles, they do have take home hot chocolate mix, and bars and giftables. You'll feel good knowing everything is made on-site and it's all fair trade. They do have a glass window that let's you see their kitchen operation. The demo video is good to watch as well, it doesn't go for long but gives you insight into how much effort goes into a single truffle. Plus who wouldn't want to watch melting chocolate become these gorgeous fragile creations? Some of their truffles take 2 days to make and can have different layers of awesome. If you are making your way to Daylesford, you should definitely go and check out the Chocolate Mill.
