Told that it was shipped 2 days later after reaching out on site again. Rings didn't arrive until 17 days after ordering. Heard I might get a reply if I leave a review here instead of Google? Ring showed up too late for my wedding due to misleading shipping information. Company an absolute nightmare to get hold off. Evidently too busy replying to their glowing reviews to deal with the customers with issues. Eventually received my return label, cutting the return date very fine despite being informed prior to delivery that it would have to be returned. No contact since mailing the ring back 2 weeks ago. All forms of contact have been useless throughout the entire process. Christmas is the most inconvenient time to be owed $450, especially 6 weeks after your wedding! UPDATE: Miraculously this issue was resolved within 3 hours of posting this review. Don't get snarky Stephen. I'm not some arsehole on the internet. Nor did I ever speak to any one with any attitude or rudeness. You've ignored multiple emails while fawning over people that leave good reviews. Not a good look, honestly. "Interestingly" you've received another negative review for your misleading delivery times, maybe just fix the problem instead of blaming the customer. Worst experience ever, I guess that's what I get for trying to give another local company some busines, I'll stick to my regular jeweler. Straight to the point I have all receipts since the order was made via text so when the ring I bought was wrong I called them up and explained and sent them copy of the text messages all they did was say sorry that there worker misunderstood. After much narrowing down he finalised his choice - Koa wood with paua (abalone), which joined his love of Maui and New Zealand in one ring. It was easy to order and pay online, it arrived promptly, well packaged and in a nice box. However hubby decided he needed the next 1/2 size up just to be 100% happy so we contacted the vendor to make an exchange. Again the process was easy and we received tracking emails when the replacement was sent to us. My fiance and I were looking for rings for our upcoming ceremony. We wanted to get the Koa Wood rings for now, as we are doing a simple ceremony until covid is over and we can have family and friends visit the islands. We had a little trouble finding the shop at first because of the old Yelp pictures, but the shop is actually in the same building as H&M. Elevator is the same used to go to Sky Waikiki. There is also parking in the building on Seaside Ave. Don't forget to ask for a validation for free parking, otherwise, it should be $3 for the short visit. During these times, an appointment is also mandatory. This, along with staff wearing masks and hand sanitizer available, ensures that guests are safe while in the shop. Stefan (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was the one to assist us. He was very helpful through the whole process. He helped find out our ring sizes, then helped to find a matching pair and we had things decided in less than 15 minutes! Although there is a chance that they won't have your size ring in the desired style, they can get you the right size quickly. He was able to get my size the next day! They also have engraving available, which is done in the shop, so inquire about that when you're looking for rings. We were originally looking for nice, simple rings to serve as placeholders until we could hold a larger ceremony and buy the rings that we want, but ended up leaving much happier than expected with a pair of beautiful Koa rings. This is rather embarrassing to include in my review, but it demonstrates the professional skill, patience and dedication Happy Laulea has with their customers. So, to put it straight... I ordered the wrong size ring. The ring was a size and a half too small. My "big big bad" : my ring ordered was an "eternity ring". When contacting Stefan at Happy Laulea, he expressed the problem in resizing the eternity ring would be very difficult ... but it could be done by them for the cost of labor and materials. After quoting the estimated cost, I agreed to have it done as it was because of my error. The process to resize the ring took a few weeks as it was a very difficult to do and therefore took very careful workmanship. In my research, as I tried to understand what I put these guys through ... every other jeweler I google said it is "impossible to resize an eternity ring". If you take a look at the process of resizing an ordinary ring, you can come to slightly understand why an eternity ring would be very difficult (or considered impossible) to resize. Yet, Happy Laulea was willing to take it it on. Let me conclude by saying Happy Laulea also delivered a wonderful piece of workmanship for my husbands new ring prior to my order for my new ring. I ordered matching wedding bands for my wife and me from Happy Laulea. The rings which are titanium with an albalone shell inlay were originally very beautiful. Unfortunately the shell wore away over the following year. I think it is because the finish that they applied was not very good. I tried filling out their online form, emailing them, calling them, to no avail. I eventually bought epoxy and refinished the rings myself. Beware of this company. I ordered a ring for my fiancé back in July and it was a little to big. When we were down in Honolulu for our honeymoon we stopped by the office to see if we could get it resized. Even though they are appointment only, they let us come in and drop the ring off. It only took them 2 days to finish it and they were able to save the engraving. I highly recommend this company.
