I'm glad that Happy Lemon is smiling on the Robson St bubble tea scene! There are lots of choices and ways to customize your tea. I believe some flavours also come and go with the seasons. I have been here a couple of times and always enjoyed my drink. The most recent time I've been in I got the milk tea with salted cheese, which was the first time I've even had salted cheese in a drink. It was quite fun, definitely more of a sweet, creamy cheese than like a nacho cheese (which is what I was picturing tbh because nacho cheese comes to mind when I think of cheese in a liquid form). Let me tell ya, I am very glad that it was the happy lemon salted cheese and not nacho cheese that I experienced. The pearls in my tea were good. Also, Happy Lemon is conveniently located beside Castella Cheesecake which also had delightful sweet cheesy treats in the form of the cheese tart. Will happily return! read more

This is my favourite bubble tea shop in Vancouver! They have lots of flavours and add-ons compared to the average bubble tea establishment (for example, taro balls, salted cream cheese and tiramisu toppings). The flavours also taste a lot more natural (no bright purple taro bubble tea here). They're also open late so it's easy to swing by after dinner downtown. My one pet peeve is that they don't currently have a customer washroom. read more

Horrible service! The staff were chatting loudly and didn't even see us standing at the till. The cashier was worse! He threw the machine on the counter when we were paying and when the receipt got stuck, he didn't say a word and just stood there, so we rescued the crumbled receipt on our own. I tried the matcha mango latte with 30% sugar and it was refreshing, tangy from the mango, and definitely not overly sweet and only mildly milky (I don't particularly like milk). To end the night we went to Happy Lemon and ordered the milk tea with salted cheese. The milk tea was pretty standard but the salted cheese was interesting. I was a bit skeptical about the 'cheese' part, but when you mix it together with the salt and milk tea it was surprisingly creamy and good! I wanted a bubble tea but didn't feel like walking all the way to the BBT shop, so I stopped by here. I was going to get one of their lemon slushes but the slushy in one of those machines that keeps the slushy in ice form looked a little gross so I went for the bubble tea. I thought they would make the slushes fresh. I bought the bubble tea and it tastes alright. Insane amount of ice, you'd think they used to work in Starbucks. Bubbles were really good, but the ice made the tea watered down. I will come back again to try their lemon slushy when I can figure out which kind I want! read more

I wanted to wait a few more days before officially writing a review as I didn't want to be the first. Because it was a soft opening they were still trying to work out some things in terms of the production line. Me and my family went in all excited because they sell the bubble waffles, but we walked out very upset! Me and my mom ordered 2 sets of bubble waffles and the lady said it would take 10 minutes so I said ok that's fine. My mom waited to pay while me and my dad went next door to another shop. We come back about 30 min later to find my mom and sister still waiting for the waffles. They finally got them and as we walked out my mom explained that the lady claimed we never ordered them and then tried to say it was too late to make them. As we walked out we realized the lady also undercooked the waffles and considering they were almost $5 each we were not happy. Overall they were just very rude and it was just an unpleasant experience. Maybe another store is better but I would never go to this location again! read more

I like Bubble tea and it's something I have always liked. I tried making it at home but the pearls are so tough to make. I introduced this to my partner and now we both crave for it all the time. We like their lemon slushy with the jelly and the mango yakult smoothy. The price is alright and the serving size is good. I always get extra pearls. They have a decent selection and menu and always a lot to make us crave for more. The store space is small but it does the trick. They have a loyalty card too, like buy 10 and get 1 free. But the drink was very yummy. It had fresh mango in it and you can taste the mango. The mango was strong that it did take away the matcha flavour. Decided to drop in to this bubble tea place and try one of their salted cheese drink. I got the milk tea with salted cheese with bubbles. I was a little weirded out hearing cheese in bubble tea but it's actually not bad. The cheese and salt went well together and gave it a unique taste. I usually get the sugar level in my bubble tea adjusted to 30% since I always find it super sweet but the sugar level in the milk tea at this place was just right for me. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the amount of pearls. There was barely any for the price I had to pay for a medium drink. It looked as if they gave me whatever was left because they ran out or something. Other than that the pearl texture was soft and chewy, though I think it was a bit overpriced. read more

Their fresh lemon drinks are all tasty, though some of their other ones (i.e., Mango Green Tea) are a bit syrupy/artificial tasting even with less sugar. Service is slow. The lemonade series is very sweet!! It's premade lemonade so you can't order half sweet or less sweet. I do like the mango lemonade but found it too sweet. Passion fruit lemonade is extremely sweet and was undrinkable. Milk tea was weak in tea flavour. Their daily specials are a good deal for 3.99 so I would go just for their daily specials. read more
