BEWARE! I was at Happy Nails a couple of weeks ago. I told them 3 times that I did not want gel polish. She applied gel polish, and proceeded to charge me $20 over the agreed price! They argued that I wanted gel polish, and that I did not understand. Wrong on both counts! read more

I wish I could put 0 stars. I've had numerous upsetting experiences with this salon. unfortunately Arcadia doesnt have a good selection of nail spas, it's worth it to make the 30 minute drive to port Charlotte or Sarasota instead. However today I called 15 minutes ahead of time for a gel pedicure I was told no problem and to head in. I arrived and was seated right away but I sat for an hour soaking, this is not an exaggeration. my water had to be reheated three times. my toes are prunes at this point. I finally lost patience as I had a funeral to attend in an hour. I asked for a towel to dry off my feet so I could leave. several of the techs urged me to sit back down but I didn't. Im assuming it was the owner that approached me and suggested that I should sit back down "it won't take long". it won't take long? now I'll be rushed through my service? no thank you! What a little gem in this shopping center in Arcadia Florida! Wonderful service in one of the most pristine and immaculate nail salons I have to date frequented. A lovely chilled glass of wine accompanied my spa pedicure and Patrizia my pedicure had a beautiful touch and did a fabulous job. And the decor is just gorgeous. Definitely wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone! I kept trying to get them to get the polish on my toes off the skin part and she was in such a rush to get me done and out of there that she just kept going over the paint instead of taking it off. It was my first and last time in there. read more

I love getting a pedicure and enjoy the time spent in the massage chairs and the rub down on my feet. But I am NOT a fan of a business that charges me $45 for 15 minutes of soaking and short lived leg rubs. I am even more upset that I got a manicure, which my last one done by another nail salon, the gel was much stronger and lasted. I got these done three days ago and my nails are soft, not hard as the gel typically is. I Don't just get a manicure for my nails but I like the hand massage and I got one minute of regular hand lotion, the whole thing was 20 minutes. Very disappointed for $170 for both myself and my husband. Never again. read more

Very clean, neat salon. Tony is the manager and is quite personable. It is a popular salon and can often be quite busy. There is often a shortage of qualified techs. Only go here if you're desperate to get your nails done. I always get the most simple and boring nails when I'm first trying a salon just to see if they can get the most basic nails right, and they couldn't even do that. I got a basic acrylic (& my color was literally just the powder with a clear coat), short, square (so no up charge on length or shape) and it was $55 when it shouldn't have been no more than $40-$45 and I left with acrylic all over my fingers & under my nails & OBVIOUSLY crooked nails. I'm a cosmetologist.. so I know for a FACT they weren't being sanitary, using same buffer & block for everyone. I didn't complain, just said to myself I'd never come back. read more

I love this place. I've been wanting coffin shaped nails for a long time, but it's just so hard to find someone who can do the shape the way I want it. This shop can!! I'm very particular when it comes to my nail shape, but I went to Tony and he's awesome. He was super friendly and did the shape evenly on every nail. When he was done with each major step he asked me if I liked his work and if I wanted to change anything, so I didn't even have to ask. I'm definitely coming back here from now on! read more

NEVER WILL I EVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY HERE. My very nice sandals were messed up by an employee busting nail polish then wiping my shoes with acetone. Accidents happen. Employees both walked out on the job and the owner told me that he would send my shoes to someone to be fixed (they can't be fixed, the only way out is to purchase a new pair). After admitting to being guilty then refused a replacement, offered to pay half then denied this too, offered to order then denied it once again, and told me I could call the police, instead of just issuing a replacement. Huge scenes were created in front of other customers all to be told "None of it was his fault." I stood in the shop for about 45 minutes while being ignored. Plus, the OWNER told me he was busy and to leave my number (Uhm, no!) Let's not forget to mention that a few of my nails were messed up and I didn't complain and they always have a different price for the same services every time I go in there. When asking for employees contact information or a copy of their cosmetology license, nothing was issued. Only first names, no last names, and a phone number registered to Hawaii. read more
