She was so friendly and we had some really good conversations. She told me about some really tasty places to eat and honestly we bonded over food haha. She gave me a full set of acrylic gel with an almond shape and a deep french. I was a little skeptical, but honestly, they're gorgeous! I haven't had my nails done in a very long time, but she was patient with me when it came to deciding on a shape, and she constantly asked if I liked my nails before moving onto the next step. It's not often you go to a salon where you talk to the nail tech, let alone the whole time! I had no clue an hour and a half had gone by when we finished! My nails look so clean and elegant. I called yesterday morning to see if I needed an appointment in order to fix the cluster f#@! from last week and was told by the owner to just come in, no appointment was needed. I received a new acrylic overlay last month so I shouldn't have had any gaps in the refill done last week which I did, the refill was not done correctly along the sides of my nails nor all the way to my cuticles. I thought about the rectification I was offered which was to redo the nail polish free of charge but when questioned about receiving a refund, credit, or gift certificate for my time/effort I was told they wouldn't/couldn't do that, which is a crock of baloney in my opinion . The manager I spoke with today gave me some cock and bull story about the problem with the acrylic being like it is, is because it has been a week and regrowth. I offered to send pictures taken last weekend of my nails. Then I was told I had ingrown toenails is why my toenails were sensitive which is also a crock! It's because the nail tech didn't know her backend from a hole in the ground obviously was afraid to do a proper pedicure! I'm not sure, but I didn't really get a manicure although I asked for one (and paid for it). It was more of a color change. No cuticles cut, just nails trimmed and filed and painted. Maybe things have changed and the usual manicure is something you have to ask for??? Then the soften gel would be easily removed. The gel after soaking in acetone was AGAIN GROUND AWAY, instead of removing softened gel polish with a nail pusher. I received a new base cost, 1 layer of gel, and then a top coat. This was repeated for both pedicure and manicure. The salon received a coupon for $150 and i left a 20% tip for thd very young and nice tech. I definitely believe that I did not receive the good service for the coupon the salon collected.
