We email/text our schedule of walks we need each week and they are flexible and don't charge you if you need to cancel at the last minute.....which we've done on many occasions due to weather, working from home, etc. They leave little notes on what your pooch did or didn't do on their walk. We've never had any communication issues with them and they usually respond about questions very quickly. They'll even contact you if they notice your dog isn't feeling well or did something in the house. WCPC has the code to the house and we've never had any trust issues. On special occasions, we've needed them on weekends, which didn't prove to be a hardship. They email us a monthly statement and accept payment via check or electronically. Overall, we are very pleased with their service and most importantly they love our 4 legged client.

Our dog is sensitive to getting her nails trimmed and I was amazed by how quickly and pain-free they were able to do it. 2-3 of the staff would work with her, one person cutting her nails and the others keeping her calm and comforted. It would be over in just minutes. HOWEVER, the last few times we've gone, it's been terrible. They put a muzzle on her and with just 1 staff trying to both cut and keep her calm, they were not quick so she would start crying and whining and not staying still. They said they did not want to cut her nails again and asked that we try elsewhere, which is understandable. I'm just disappointed that they were not as efficient and helpful as they used to be.

When my husband arrived, he was told that the facility can't honor the appointments due to the doctor having car trouble. I called and asked why we couldn't wait for the doctor to arrive, and I was told because he had other patients to see. I said, I am a client too and our dog had a scheduled procedure, my husband took the day off of work, he showed up and was turned away. I never in all my life owning dogs and going to numerous vets, was treated in such a way. Westfield Animal Hospital has changed drastically since it went Corporate. I use to have an excellent relationship with both Dr. Loomis and Dr. Jablecki. The new management is horrible. I was dismissed as a client due to being extremely upset. This would have been my last appointment. We had made the decision prior to this horrible experience. The only reason we were moving forward with the procedure was due to the fact that our dog was a patient since he was rescued and the procedure was important. The new managment at Westfield Animal Hospital doesn't care about losing a 19-year client. they also made a significant mistake on the prior appointment. They were instructed not to give our dog and vaccinations, only to check for heart worm, lymes and tiders. When they brought our dog back to us, they advised that he was given vaccinations, againt our very specific instructions.

Thank goodness we found Happy Bark & Tails. From our first meeting, the owner, Madeline, was informative, and caring, gave us a clear idea of what to expect on our wedding day, and took the time to answer all our questions. Every step of the way, Madeline was patient, responsive, and put us at ease. We even scheduled a meet-and-greet a few weeks before the wedding with Madeline and her husband, Gabriel, who is also a co-owner of the business. We were certain that they would not only care for Oreo but treat him like their own baby. On the day of our wedding, Madeline and Gabriel arrived at our hotel and immediately took care of Oreo. They put on his cute "best dog" scarf and bow tie and handled him while my husband and I got ready for our wedding. They walked him, fed him, played with him, helped him pose for pictures with us, and treated Oreo like family. They transported him to the venue, took him back to our hotel, and stayed with him until we got back. We couldn't have asked for a better company or people to work with! They also documented our wedding day with photos from Oreo's perspective. The gallery of photos was beautiful and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
