I took my grandchildren there to give them their very first horseback riding. They absolutely loved it and don't stop talking about it to their friends. It will be an everlasting experience. The horses are so friendly and especially child friendly. Bell seems to run it and really a sweetheart. There are many unique animals there, Turkeys, Pigs, Goats, Tortoises, Lambs, and others. Happy Pony World is more than just ponies - they have horses. I have a nine-year old son who is afraid of just about everything - including riding a horse. Alex helped my son and our family feel very comfortable prior to the ride. My son actually got on the horse and enjoyed the 50 minute trip. I absolutely loved coming here! The horses were amazing and our trail guide/trainer was amazing!! I can't wait to come back! They went over safety, proper form, and how to handle your horse. My mom was very nervous (she sporadically rode and didn't do so in over 15 years. Not to mention she is terrified of faking). The trainer taught her how to sit in the saddle, hold the reigns, how to make the horse stop/go; while I jumped in, ready to go! The trainer stayed by my moms side the whole time on the trail (walking next to the horse) to ensure everything went smoothly. We went on a half hour ride, but now I can't wait to go back because the trainer told us that the two hour ride goes through untouched nature/forest (I can't imagine how beautiful that'll be)! My toddler had a wonderful time at Majda's. We only had to pay $20 for a 30-minute pony ride, but what we didn't know was that there was a lot more for our toddler to experience. All together, there were two pigs, two goats, two roosters, rabbits, ferrets, ponies, and horses. Our toddler was able to play and interact with all of them. And even though he's only just turned 3, riding the pony was very easy and came naturally to him. Majda gave us some wonderful tips on how to control the pony (we were first timers) and then let us roam around on our own. It was great. We're already booked to come back next weekend. We were all excited to go here for my daughter to get to go on a trail ride. However when we arrived we were a bit disappointed some of the horses seem thin and we're tied to fences and they were right off of hiatus Road. The trail ride was sitting on a horse and people walking on the ground leading us by a rope down Hiatus Road with traffic whizzing by. It was a very scary situation some of the cars honked to say hi which scared the horses and I would never go there again I have never seen a trail ride that was walking down the side of a heavily trafficked road being led by somebody holding a rope. Sorry to say I can not recommend Happy Pony World because I feel it is extremely dangerous and definitively not worth the money. read more

Wow! Amazing place to celebrate a party during covid. Our family and friends celebrated our sons birthday and had a great time! The kids got to feed all the horses and play with the bunnies. Then they had pony rides and finally they painted Blanca (with paint safe for the horse). All the kids had an amazing time. These are memories we will forever cherish. Tried to schedule a pony ride for two kids. The voice message on their phone line said to text them. Texted them, no response. We decided to try anyway since they have good reviews on Yelp. Arrived to their location. They had a group of kids already there. The owner said they don't have any room and said that he does not respond to text messages when it rains, WTF? He was not friendly. To top it off, two of his teenage helpers were rude to one of our kids. It looks like the teenagers were not having a good day and began to call our kid names. Infuriating for a parent as you can imagine. Completely unacceptable behavior for a service business, especially service of kids entertainment. Avoid at all costs. read more

I will start off with the pros : this place is family business, they are very attentive. Allow you to walk around pet the horses andg give you time to jump on a trampoline n everything before your ride. As a first time rider I enjoyed my ride . The cons they don't really explain to much about how to ride. It's like ok kick them harder n I don't know how hard or soft to kick . My horse lucky was sweet but when he started to ride a little faster than I liked they was like control him . HOW I never rode a horse before. DO NOT BUY VOUCHER! THEY WILL NOT HONOR IT!!!! Horrible experience and zero customer service. A YELP voucher that clearly says "pay $25 for a $50 voucher that is redeemable for $50" is worth $50 - not $25. Alex will only honor it for what you pay, which is NOT how a voucher works. I asked him about Groupon - which clearly has no limitations and he insisted you can only use it on the 30 minute ride - no where on Groupon does it say that. I understand businesses don't want to give away their services but be HONEST with customers, don't do a bait and switch on them. He also talks badly about his competitors. I mentioned a nearby ranch and he said "if you want to ride in a taxi, go to them. If you want to ride a horse, come to us." Had a lot of fun there, they were very informative about showing us the ropes on how to get on the horse, make the horse move and went over all the safety related things you need to know did several practice trials to make sure we got it before heading out for our trail ride. Visited Happy Pony World for the first time after a few attempts to schedule an appointment. I must say it was worth the wait. We arrived 15min before the appointment and were immediately greeted by Alex and wife, Majda. The horses were beautiful and gentle souls. I really enjoyed the family ran business. Excellent for beginners - I took my niece and nephew for a one hour trail ride, they had never ridden before - Alex took 20 minutes to discuss horse safety with them, why we use the signals we do, etc., which was VERY helpful. He wanted to make sure they were very comfortable and felt safe when they were on the horse, thank you Alex. Alex chose horses according to their age and experience and put them on very gentle, calm horses, and they absolutely LOVED the experience. I haven't ridden for about 6 years and all my joints ached, especially my knees - getting old I guess! I was put on an awesome horse too (I'm very tall and need a bigger horse) - Alex matched us all exactly right. It was AMAZING - He and his assistant walked out with us all on the ride and were there to look after everyone. I HIGHLY recommend this - not just because the horses were nice and calm, but because of the personal attention you get and the way they look after you. Booked a trail ride for myself and my daughter. Alex who was in charge was very kind. It was so easy to set up the appointment via text. However the overall experience was definitely lacking. I've ridden at a few stables and this is definitely only for small children and people trying to get over their fear. There are a few girls working the stable only one of which would even speak let alone smile at anyone. You are given no instruction until on the horses. Once on, the instruction is minimal considering these animals will hardly do anything for the next 60 min. Once the ride starts you are lead by Alex and one or 2 other barn helpers ( who are walking next to you not on horseback) down the dirt road to hiatus then down next to a canal behind a trailer park where they then stop to take everyone's picture. Then you turn around and go back. I could not have been more disappointed. That hardly should be considered a trail ride.I would not go back unless I was taking a small child for a first ride. There should be separate options for people who are not with small children to get an actual ride in. Sad to give this review considering Alex was so kind and it's a family business but some adjustments definitely need to be made. read more

BEWARE. Owner of company refused to honor groupon offer. Deal was $25 for $45 worth of horseback riding. Pretty straightforward. When I tried to reserve a riding session and told him of my groupon deal, things changed right off the bat. I bought 3 of these groupons. Lets do math. My $75 spent is now worth $135 of horseback riding value- towards whatever horseback riding I want. That's what the groupon was. Not for one particular horsebackriding product. NOWHERE on the groupon deal does it mention anything but value for horseback riding, nothing specific. But no, now he says it's only for the 30 minute ride, which is normally $45 but is now on promotion for $25. THAT is what my groupon is good for now, not the 2 hour ride we discussed previously, which is on promotion for $75. So for me and my girlfriend to go on a 2 hour ride is $150. Simple. I have $135 worth of value- balance should be $15. Nope. He says thats too cheap. I say tough crap, thats what YOU made the groupon for. I didnt make it, you did. Honor it. Nope, he says its too cheap, he wont honor the christmas gift I got for my girlfriend. Someone doesn't understand groupon. It's cheap for a reason, because its a bargain. Im sorry that you don't feel like you need to honor it now because it'll put you in the poor house, but YOU made the groupon deal and then failed to understand it. Happy pony world....right. I first came in as a volunteer at the other ranch. Then Alex just open another ranch and asked if I will help them. I was more than glad to help. As I progressed so did my riding. Majda treats me like her own son. After a month volunteering my mom saw I was doing good with the the horse. So one day my mom gives me a call and says their is a trailer coming to the farm. I was confused but I just went along with it. The trailer came and inside was a horse so I asked Alex is this your horse and he responded no it's yours cris. I began to cry tears of joy. And ever since she has been my baby. She was a racing horse, so that had a big effect on her. Many people kept telling us to just put her down. But me and Majda refused. We went against everyone's doubt and she is way better. Even though she is for one person type of horse human and horse all have personalities. So come on down and you never forget your in Davie .
