Love, Love, Love MM Equestrian! I came to the farm New Year's Eve 2022 and kept coming every weekend because there's no other place to get a farm experience in the area. I fell in love with the animals and the park. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful! I was there so often, I ended up becoming a volunteer so now I am there almost daily. I can tell you firsthand that the animals are very happy, loved by everyone and very well cared for. Melissa Benton, the owner is hands on, very dedicated to the farm, the animals, the guests and into giving back to the community through the farm. There are so many enrichment programs for all ages from kids to adults, from summer camps to Mommy & Me, Multisensory and wellness, plus fun events like the annual pumpkin patch. There's something for everyone! Weekends are always fun with the pony rides, petting farm, Bunny Experience and horse rides. Plus, it's in the beautiful Enchanted Forest Park which is worth a visit in itself. I highly recommend MM Equestrian Farm. I'm sure you will fall in love with it too, not to mention, you'll have the healing benefits of being around animals and in nature. read more

Where do I even start with this negative review. last Saturday I went for a lesson at MM equestrian in North Miami. As a former professional equestrian myself I thought that I would be safe and it would be a normal lesson. Boy was I wrong the trainer Leo put me purposely in danger when I " I don't feel safe I'm scared I don't want to Cantor" he ignored my plea of being uncomfortable and forced me to ride a horse that they were purposely abusing. I fell and broke my arm and now I have to have surgery that cost almost $10,000 to have full functioning of my arm. The owner Melissa didn't show any empathy or reach out to us about my well-being. I was then asked to sign a waiver after the incident occurred. Which if you are a normal horse person you never sign a waiver after an incident happened. When I was screaming in pain that's when I was asked to sign it. I did not in my mother while she was in duress had to sign it. This place is very abusive to the horses and put people purposely in danger. And makes them ride horses that are in pain and being abused and are not safe for lessons. I will be taking further actions to rectify the situation and cover my medical costs. This trainer Leo needs to be fired and fan from children and lessons. This whole situation was complete negligence on the barn the owner and the trainer and now I have to have surgery because of it. Do not go to MM equestrian for horseback riding they will put you in danger. read more

This review is for the small petting zoo on-site. The teens that run it, are great! They're so interactive and great with the small excited children. The petting zoo is small and excellent for little kids. My kids LOVE it and we return every few months. They love to see Jimmy the donkey! read more

I am an adult beginner and although I went to horse camp as a child I was basically starting from scratch when it came to learning to ride. I found MM Equestrian farms because I live near south beach and wanted a close place to try riding lessons without having to go all the way down south, too far west, or north towards Fort Lauderdale and beyond. I have lived in Miami since 2002 and had no idea MM Equestrian even existed. It truly is a magical oasis located in North Miami off of Biscayne and 135th street. They have a petting zoo and do pony rides on the weekends but what I love most about MM equestrian farm are the riding lessons. I have taken lessons with both Angelina and Melissa, both wonderful teachers. Melissa is the owner and my main instructor now. She is teaching me the basics of horsemanship, how to "tack up" ( getting the horse prepared for riding, putting on the saddle and bridle), teaching me two-point, posting trot and we have made a goal plan with lesson schedule to get me to my ultimate goal of eventing. The only downside of MM Equestrian is that the only riding allowed there is in the outdoor arena, therefore if it rains, the arena floods and we have to cancel the lesson. I highly recommend MM equestrian if you are looking for a local riding school, knowledge instruction from Melissa and an all around magical experience. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Today is one of my very good friends birthday. For the past month, she has been planning & coordinating an afternoon ride with this company. From multiple exchanges, 1-2 phone calls per week confirming the number changes or consistencies for our party, we were set with the final number 2 days prior to our reservation. On this day, we were asked to submit a deposit for the final confirmation. Understanding the importance of this, we came to the agreement to have the money ready for the next day, one day prior to our reservation. We were told 'No problem.' That following day, phone calls & texts were sent to the stables, and were never returned. So no, we were unable to pay the deposit. However, there was no website to submit a deposit, so we had no possible way to pay the money that we had READY. Now, here is where things really went sour. Today, the day of our reservation, THIRTEEN phone calls were made & left unanswered by her number. Initially thinking this was due to some unforeseen mishap, we began the drive. On a whim, another party member called, and the phone was answered almost immediately. It was at this time that we found that because the deposit that we were left unable to pay for was not received, our reservation had already been cancelled & rebooked by another party. After many back-and-forth phone calls, we realized that these people did not want or care for us to be appeased. The man on the phone-whose name he would not give- was anything but kind to us throughout the entire process, reluctantly agreeing to offer us the manager's number to call him (this was after requesting to speak with him & the man saying "Oh, I am speaking to you muuuuch nicer than he will. I promise you."), and swearing on his mother's grave that he would give us that number. Clearly, the number was not received, and we have no other option but to leave our story here, in hopes that this situation does not happen to anyone again, and God forbid on someone's birthday. Overpriced pony rides on a beautiful park. Kids used as employees, very rude staff. Do not recommend at all.

Lack of professionalism in dealing with a situation in which our party had made a reservation but were pending to pay deposit. However when attempting to call, the calls were not answered or returned. Called from another number and the phone was finally answered only to be told our spot had been taken? Unfortunately we were unable to go, so I can't comment on the horses and ponies, but if they're anything like the guy we dealt on the phone with, thank god we didn't go. read more

Place is dirty. Way to much manure in the back pasture. The barn in old and the boards are all chewed up. Alot of horses in this barn have Florida Sores. The arena is substandard. The round pin is way to deep with soft sand. There is no light in the arena to ride at night. The barn is always have parties. The trash cans are always filled with beer cans. The wash racks are beat up. There is no grass for the horse to graze on. There is no automatic water. The water smells like rotten eggs. read more
