We used Happy Shuttle based on great reviews for airport shuttle service during our trip to Cancun. They didn't disappoint. They were easy to spot upon leaving the terminal upon arrival. Those holding the Happy Shuttle sign notified the driver, who arrived w/in 10 minutes for our journey to our resort. Upon arrival, we chose a pick up time for our hotel pick up at the end of our vacation. Later, after thinking about it, I wanted an earlier time (just in case). I messaged them and they quickly responded and said changing the time was no problem. On the day of pick up, they arrived 10 minutes early and we got to the airport without any worries. Both trips, we had booked a private shuttle. Each time we had a nice van with more than enough room. Price was extremely reasonable as far as I was concerned. If we do ever go back to Cancun, I wouldn't hesitate booking them again. read more

Our flight was delayed 4 hours, and we were still expected to wait at the airport for over 6 hours total. That's simply not reasonable. I was told there were no other drivers and no flexibility the entire day which to me doesn't sound normal. While I understand policies exist, good companies know when to make exceptions. A partial refund or even an effort to find an alternative solution would have made a big difference. If you're truly that busy, partnering with another service should be an option. One or 2 calls could be make to make a customer happy Instead, there was zero effort to accommodate the situation. We had to wait for your drivers because you said there was an accident by the airport earlier when we arrived. This was booked by my brother, but I normally use another company USA Transfer & my experience they are more customer friendly. A side note we were staying in Club Med 17 min ride to Airport & for sure where many of their drivers drive thru, If they wanted to assist in anyway. read more

This is my favorite airport transportation in Cancun! I use them at least 10 trips a year, to and from the hotel zone and CUN. The representatives outside the airport exit are easy to find in their green shirts. They want your confirmation number and print out a return trip "ticket." They then walk you to another area to wait for your private shuttle. The drivers are friendly and efficient. Most have really good English and I love chatting it up about Cancun in the 1990's. Don't fall for taxi drivers trying to hustle you out of $125 one way to the hotel zone. Happy Shuttle is always in the $80 range for round trip and it's only you (and your party). When we arrived in Cancun, the staff greeting us were friendly, and our driver was excellent - helpful with the luggage, personable, and a great start to our trip. Unfortunately, the pick-up experience for our return was very different. While the driver was cordial, I was unhappy with how he handled our luggage at the airport drop-off, placing it right beside the car in an area with incoming traffic instead of safely on the sidewalk. As I was moving the bags to safety, he began backing up around us, which felt both careless and unsafe. Although my kids (ages 2 and 5) were standing on the sidewalk, I could see the worry on their faces as I struggled to haul the luggage out of the traffic zone while the driver was attempting to back out. Thankfully, my husband and I were both present so one of us could watch the kids. I regretted tipping him afterward -the only reason I considered a tip was because the drive was long- but even so, this was the first time in all my years of hiring private transportation (in Mexico and abroad) that I've experienced such disregard for passenger safety. Absolute Rip-Off!!! Terrible experience from start to finish. When we arrived, the greeters were hard to find, disorganized, and not personable. After already waiting over an hour for our luggage, we were told the shuttle wasn't even there yet -- with no timeline provided and our requests for an updated ETA were ignored. We also paid extra for beverages, which were not available. When we asked about them, we were told we'd have to wait even longer if we wanted what we already paid for. No apology, no accountability -- just told we could take a taxi at our own expense. The return trip was even worse. When our flight was briefly delayed, we requested pickup at 2:30 instead of 1:30. When the flight time reverted back, they refused to come at 1:30 and said it "wasn't their problem" that 2:30 left us extremely tight for our flight. We asked for a refund since they couldn't get us to the airport on time -- denied. Long waits, missing paid amenities, dismissive staff, zero customer service, and refusal to refund despite failing to deliver what was promised. Would never recommend. I asked the agent what is going on. we were there before them, and we had been waiting for a long time. the agent said it is up to his boss. He doesn't know, and it is only been 20 minutes. I asked him to call the office to find out why, where our shuttle was, and how much longer. He said he can't contact his office......so we continue to wait....... very poor service. I booked a private transfer, waited 20+ mins. with many others waiting and no Happy Shuttles in site. You could tell the Happy Shuttle guys were getting stressed out. Then I saw some Happy Shuttle guy together talking away from everyone. The Happy Shuttle guy told me to follow him and handed me off to a driver, a driver that didn't have a Happy Shuttle shirt on, etc. This man looked awful, dirty, sweaty, etc. and the shuttle was filthy inside. When I said "Hola" he said nothing and not one word during my horrible transfer. I think they handed me off to a driver that didn't even work for Happy Shuttle just to get people out of there since none of their shuttles were showing up. This guy kept slamming on the gas and brake non-stop, jerking me back and forth AND drove past my resort. My neck was killing me during the transfer and throughout my whole trip. I was taking ibuprofen trying to ease the pain to no avail. When I arrived home and saw a doctor, my doctor said I had whiplash. This was my first time using Happy Shuttle and will never use them again. They ruined my trip due to being in so much pain. We were going to Cancun for a friend's wedding and we had planned to meet my parents at the airport, arriving on different airlines. Unfortunately, my parent's flight was cancelled and they were rescheduled to a later flight. There is no wiggle room in Happy Shuttle's contract for unforeseen issues like these. We ended up having to pay to cancel or book an additional shuttle. We ended up paying to book the additional shuttle for my parents, so they did not have to worry. The drivers and staff were very nice, and the communication was fast, but the rating is low because there was no room for "life" and unforeseen or uncontrolled issues. It felt like we were being nickeled and dimed for everything. We booked a private shuttle for 4 adult and a child to and from Isla Mujeres to the Cancun Airport and all in all with the upcharges and misinformed on pickup time, we ended up paying nearly double the original prepaid cost. In future, we will wait till we arrive to book anything. There were so many options of shuttles and taxis at the airport. Not worth the additional money when life happens. read more

We have always used USA Transfers but they increased their price. A lot of reviews and online recommendation for this company so we decided to book. It has been a headache since we landed. The check in process was super chaotic. There were about 5 or 6 groups that they were processing at the same time, which is fine, but felt totally unorganized. In the midst of waiting among a sea of people and cars, the staff had to shout over the noise to confirm our shuttle with us. He also asked when we would like to be picked up from our hotel for the return trip to the airport. This took me off guard because we already gave them our flight info. Our previous shuttle service always gave us the pickup time. I confirmed our flight info and the staff member said 9:30 am pickup will be fine for our departure flight time. Fine. The car is okay, driver was nice. Get to the hotel fine. Day before departure, I get an email stating that my pickup time is not enough time for our departure. I call them, customer service has no idea about this email. But we decided on an earlier time that they recommend. I get ANOTHER EMAIL at 10:30 pm stating that is still not enough time. Exasperated, I called and tried to move it back PER THEIR RECOMMENDATION but unfortunately got there's no availability. This is so confusing and frustrating. This is what they do... they should be able to give me an appropriate pickup time according to my flight! I am now, day of at 1 am, trying to find another shuttle and stressed out. Overall we were happy with Happy Shuttle Cancun HSC! We took 3 transports and used Happy Shuttle Cancun for 2 of them. Beforehand we scheduled online for airport pick up and drop off. They are very easy to reach to make updates or ask questions. As advertised, they are reliable, on time and priced competitively. The vans were air conditioned, clean and like new. There are cheaper options to van shuttles like the local bus but they are not as convenient with direct drop off at your hotel. After we exited the airport, HSC was easy to find - a rep had a company sign and wore a company bright green polo, he checked us in. He did tell us it would take 10-15 minutes for the van without explanation but that gave us time to run to the airport ATM to get some pesos. It was an 8 minute wait. The drive from the Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen PDC took about 50 minutes. We booked a private transport for an incremental amount more. Waters and sodas cost extra but we did not pre-order online or ask upon arrival and it was not offered upon arrival (which worked for us as we did not want to feel pressured). For our return to the airport at 5am, HSC was prompt. At this early hour and staying at a big resort, we could probably have used a taxi but with 4 of us, the shuttle made sense. We do wish that the discount for roundtrip would have been honored even if we dropped off at one hotel and picked up from another. Our 3rd transport was from PDC to Cancun (hence the different drop off and pick up locations mentioned above) and we choose a different shuttle service. Happy Shuttle Cancun quoted us $25 more than a competitor - and both were way more than the shuttle from the airport to PDC even though it was a similar distance. Since timing didn't matter as much, we went with the less expensive option. The driver was 15 minutes late but did give us cold water for free and the van was air conditioned. Happy Shuttle Cancun is professional and on time. We would definitely use them again for transport to/from the airport. read more

We arrived in Cancun at night and our car and driver was already waiting. We just had a little trouble looking for our coordinator but the customer service was to the rescue - as soon as we called and relayed our concern they immediately address the concern and stayed at the phone until we found our coordinator which will drop us to our van and driver. Our driver from Airport to Hotel was really nice and helpful- provides few things that we can expect and also restaurants around the area. Even helped us with basic Spanish. Then our driver to the Airport was as awesome as the first one. We do not remember the name of our first driver from all of the tequila we intake BUT we remember the last one - Misa. We used this transportation service 3 times this past week. CUN to Playa Del Carmen, Playa del Carmen to Cancun, Cancun to CUN First 2 drivers were AMAZING!!! I wish i caught their names. Prompt, friendly, save drive. 3rd driver was rude upon arrival. The only driver who asked for the confirmation information, which is fine, but i pulled up my paid invoice and he argued with me about it until he realized he was incorrect and what I was showing him was correct. The ride was fine, the driver was just unpleasant. Office staff were great - had to change one drop off/pickup location and it was a breeze to do so. Adán on the trip to our hotel from the airport was great!! Super chatty and willing to share lots of great info with us. We booked online and received a confirmation almost immediately. Coming out of the airport, keep walking! They are past the throngs of people trying to get you to drive with them at often times overinflated prices. Round trip to our hotel (Kempinski) was $85USD which for two people was very affordable. Door to door service was awesome!! I booked Happy Shuttle from two Instagram pages I follow. When we got to the airport we found out our luggage didn't make our flight and unfortunately we had to wait for our luggage to arrive. After knowing this information, I called Happy Shuttle to let them know. I forgot who I spoke to but he said no worries and that a greeter will be there waiting for us. After getting our luggage (over 2 hours later), we had no problem spotting the Happy Shuttle greeter, however we did have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the shuttle to get there, a slight annoyance. We brought our own car seats for my 5 year old and 20 month old. We installed the one for my 5 year old with no problem, for the 20 month old, unfortunately we had to install in forward facing, which we don't normally do at home. Luckily no issues with getting to our resort. Later that evening I had a chance to check my email, I received an email from Happy Shuttle, at the time we were still waiting for our luggage, that we were going to be flagged as a "no show" after two hours after arrival time and no refund. It seems that the person I spoke with was not in alignment with the person who emailed me. I'm just relieved that we did not get abandoned at the airport. When we got picked up to head back to the airport, they were right on time. Originally the recommended 10:30am pick up but I requested 10am, just to be on the safe side. The shuttle was different than the one we used at drop off and unfortunately with the head rest on the seat, we couldn't install my 5 year old car seat. Overall we were happy with the transportation. But if you bring car seats for your children (who are infants) this might not be the best option. read more

I like that they have a flat fare that you pay up front so you don't have to worry about getting hit with bogus charges. I am hoping this company is having really off week. Most of the reviews were glowing and that's why we booked them. This is genuinely my experience and you can decide as a consumer where to spend your money. We got to the front/outside of the airport where all the private transfers employees hold up their signs. No happy shuttle sign in sight. Another shuttle service asked who I was looking for and walked me over to a line for Happy Shuttle. Their sign was laying on the floor and a line had formed about 5 couples waiting to be helped. Took about 10 minutes to get to the front of that line they gave us parking spot 66 and told us to go there and meet our driver. We walk to 66 and there is a larger crowd. About 40 people, couples and families all looking pissed. I mean we just made it to Cancun - why is everyone annoyed?! Well I walk to the front where there are two guys with Happy Shuttle shirts, I give them my ticket from the first guy. They each have about 7 tickets each on their clip board. So I'm assuming we are now number 15 in line waiting so I ask them how long, it looks like a lot of people are waiting. They say don't worry about 5 minutes - the crowd so kindly tells me "no way" some have already been waiting up to 40 minutes. Eeek again, people aren't happy - the workers clearly aren't forthcoming with whatever is going on. Did they overbook, are they short staffed?! Who knows. So we wait. Only more people coming with tickets to find no driver ready simply getting more frustrated. The entire time we waited probably two other couples got rides in 30 minutes! We were getting swarms of other service drives and taxis coming up to us - "you picked the wrong service, we'll give you a ride now, no wait, for cheap". Ugh now we can't even wait in peace and are getting haggled. Finally we are told our car is ready. We walk over to the van and there is another American gentleman in it and he is calm but not happy. He is asking the guy for a refund, telling him this is unacceptable, he ordered a private transfer, waited too long and now they were doubling, even tripping riders. At this point we didn't care, we had our 6 year old with us and just wanted to get to the ferry so we can connect to the next ride and get to our hotel. Finally after almost an hour since we walked out of the airport we were leaving the airport. The worker who loaded us in the van asked if we wanted to book a return ride to the airport, we declined (obvious reasons). Here are the facts... The driver was super friendly, car was clean, we got to our location quick (I wouldn't say there was traffic). Either this placed overbooked or had a shortage of drivers and had no clue how to handle any of it. I'll tell you this - Happy Shuttle was the only private service that had groups waiting and customer pissed not just at the airport but at the Ferry Station as well. There are so many companies to use in the area that will go above and beyond to make customers happy, feeling safe and will always be on time - this company simply did not meet our expectations. read more

The cancun airport is something else. Right when you get out, you get swarmed by taxi drivers. They're surrounding you, whistling at you, trying to get you to use their service. I heard of people using taxis and paying $300+ US dollars for a 20 minute drive, so we took extra care to book a reputable shuttle service. Our friends recommended happy shuttle so we booked with them and im so glad we did! The happy shuttle guys were a bit hard to find because they were in the way back but I liked that, because it would have been concerning to me if they were one of the whistlers in the front haha. Here is the story: We flew into terminal 2 for United airlines and were met by the Unhappy shuttle representative in the usual spot. Our luggage was on a push cart and the representative, Chris, insisted on pushing our cart through the crowd to our private van. We entered the Van while he was still loading our luggage (our mistake). We left the airport but within about 10 minutes (we were barely outside the airport at this point), unhappy shuttle called our driver and asked him to turn around and come back for one of our bags. Our driver turned the van around to go back but within minutes he received another call from his manager telling him to turn around again and continue to our hotel. Our driver said he had to do it because it was his boss. We called unhappy shuttle and asked why we could not go back to get our bag. The representative stated they would send us the bag for a fee!. We tried to argue with the phone representative about why we should pay for their mistake but she got angry and hung up. We called back and asked to speak to a manager and this time they said they could not deliver it at all as they had turned it in to the airport lost and found. After a number of calls and arguments they stated they would pick us up the next day, Sunday, and drive us back to the airport to go to the lost and found. The trip is an hour and a half round trip plus 30 minutes at the airport. After a bit of language confusion, we discovered that the lost and found is not open on Sundays! We spoke with the unhappy shuttle manager again and he said too bad, they were not going to drive us again on Monday. The bag and contents were worth about $100 so I asked unhappy shuttle if they could at least give us a $50 credit for out next service and they even said no to that. We departed on Friday and when we went to the lost and found they had no record of the bag being turned in. So, in addition to losing our bag ($100) we lost a 1/2 day of our vacation on a pointless trip to the airport Servicio de transporte muy descontento. We were skeptical when looking at transportation from Cancun Airport to our resort last week. We settled upon Happy Shuttle. I am so glad we did. We chose a private transfer round trip in one of their Suburbans. Our driver Wilbur Gonzalez was awesome. He was very friendly and had cold water ready for us when we walked out into the humidity! They were truly the absolute best! Very detailed, communicative and thorough. I had a rather large group arriving at different times and terminals. Our trips were great. Only complaint was airport pick up. Instructions were to meet our driver between the margaritaville bar and the grey post. We didn't see anyone with our name and waited nearly 30 minutes until we saw a Happy Shuttle sign with another name and asked if he could find our driver. He printed us a slip and told us to go to the parking area and there we waited another 15 minutes for our ride. He told us the only way to get our ride was to get a slip from him. So don't wait looking for your name while being harassed by other companies. read more

Both drivers were had were very friendly & helpful! They were on time to pick us up when we left, not much of a wait when we arrived.
