Those holding the Happy Shuttle sign notified the driver, who arrived w/in 10 minutes for our journey to our resort. Upon arrival, we chose a pick up time for our hotel pick up at the end of our vacation. Later, after thinking about it, I wanted an earlier time (just in case). I messaged them and they quickly responded and said changing the time was no problem. On the day of pick up, they arrived 10 minutes early and we got to the airport without any worries. Both trips, we had booked a private shuttle. Each time we had a nice van with more than enough room. Price was extremely reasonable as far as I was concerned. If we do ever go back to Cancun, I wouldn't hesitate booking them again.

Despite the hotel being only 7 minutes from the airport, they demanded an additional $65, claiming it was a "new service." This was unreasonable, especially since we were not asking for a separate trip, only a stop along the existing route--not to go to the airport first and then be taken to the hotel. The driver was not the issue at all--drivers are clearly restricted and monitored by GPS. The problem lies entirely with the reservation staff, who were rigid, unhelpful, and unwilling to offer any solution. They even claimed that no manager was available, which is both inexcusable and highly questionable during peak season. This was an overpriced, inflexible, and poorly managed service that added stress to an already difficult travel situation. I would not recommend this company to anyone expecting reasonable customer service or flexibility.

Our first reservation was lost so we rebooked one on a recent visit to Riviera Maya, Cancun. We booked it outside the airport and the one helping us said he did not have the ability to use a credit card and could only accept cash. That was the first warning sign. He seemed to be honest and did provide us with a roundtrip confirmation email with all of our correct itinerary information. While he provided us with a roundtrip confirmation, he only inputted it into their system as a one way transfer. The ride never came to pick us up to return to the airport. No record of our confirmation even with the confirmation code provided. The rep on the phone said we should go to the airport and request a refund for the additional expense we incurred. When we went to meet a rep at the airport, they actually got into a vehicle and drove off. I tried emailing the company as well and they never respond nor can they find my confirmation code as provided. They are scammers and will rip off as many visitors as possible. I am attaching photos of the employee that helped us as he is holding our payment. STAY AWAY !!!!!!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! Everyone needs to use another car service company since this one is a scammer. Maybe if enough people complain then the government can get involved. She called to confirm her return transportation as well and was also told 9:30 a.m. While we were picked up without issue, she was left behind at the resort with my niece and nephew. She waited about ten minutes before trying to call Amstar, but no one ever answered. Had we known this would happen, we would have made sure they joined our van so they weren't stranded. I'm conflicted because our experience was great, but it's upsetting that my sister and her children were left behind after receiving confirmation. As you walk from customs to transportation, there's all kinds of people who pounce on you to sell taxi services to where you're going. They're quite aggressive about getting you a 'cheap' fare. I booked with Oscar online in advance, and got a good deal. Oscar was there, and he helped me load my bags into the van. I was the only passenger, and we were off immediately. Oscar followed all the traffic rules and made good conversation along the way. He's knowledgeable about Mexican hot sauces. He got me to my destination safely and cheaply and I got some good food suggestions while I was at it.
