He has Addison's disease and it's hard for him to cope with stress, and I wanted to make sure that the transition would go smoothly. Every time I sent her questions, she answered my right back. The day before we were flying out, there was a change with our flight and I was getting stressed out about it. I reached out to Kim and then she clarified that everything is OK. I also had a payment issue at the check. The lady told me to pay at the check in even I already paid to Happy Tails. I already I gave her the authorization document, but she was very demanding and I wasn't sure what was going on. I didn't want to waste my time so I paid, and contacted Kim right after. She told me that I didn't have to pay at the check in, and she would refund me from Happy Tails. I was able to pick up Freddy without any issues at Honolulu Airport, and Freddy came out just fine. WOW! Happy Tails and their partners are Amazing! Kim Roland was there every step of the way and helped guide me through the process of getting my five dogs to the Big Island of Hawaii. This was no easy task, considering all the paperwork that the state of Hawaii needs to secure a direct release for a dog onto the island. We drove from N. Idaho to Seattle with our five dogs, so that we could fly from Seattle to Honolulu for the agricultural inspection and then on to Hilo. Our dogs did amazing with much appreciation and thanks to the care and support from the folks at Happy Tails. Chris N. Our pet travel specialist and the admin were both amazing to work with! We have 6 fur-babies in total, got a quote for 5, and had to change to 3 last minute. We couldn't commit to any number or time because it was dependent on airline and airline couldn't give a straight answer till last moment. Happy Tails Travel and our specialist worked magic to transport 3 of our precious fur-babies in just over a week since contract. Even though I got their name from a reputable source, they were understanding when I was seeking verification of business via other means just to avoid scam, again, all done last minute. The admin had major personal life issue at the time yet she was extremely flexible and got on a call during rough times to verify. I'd not recommend counting on this last minute journey but we can't thank them enough to make it happen and being flexible. We went from Las Vegas to Triangle NC, cross country with a cat and 2 dogs using ground transportation taking 3 nights. Their contract was straightforward and quote was more reasonable and transparent than other competitors. There's a couple competitors matching their price for both air and ground, but the service and reputation are our reason for not choosing the cheapest option. Our driver was amazing as well. He kept us in loop, sent pictures throughout the day and gps location on where they are. One of the dog is sheepish in a car but he's now all for car ride, and our other dog won't stop trying to get into our car upon arrival. There was some traffic and weather issue but only a few hours delay (extra night) than the original estimate, which we were ok with knowing they were in good hands. We worked out about $4000 and some hundred to fully escort our 2-50 lb pitties from SC to NY to fly from JFK to HNL via Hawaiian Cargo, which was incorporated in the price above. The flight was to be a direct flight, nonstop, but had an emergency medical landing that wasn't anticipated, and Ms. Kim called and emailed us every bit of the way to fill us in on new info and developments, as well as receiving flightaware alerts. I can't convey how great this service was. We moved our 5 year old boxer, Payton, from California to Hawaii. This was difficult for two reasons: Hawaii has a very specific protocol because it is rabies-free (yay!) and because of my pup's smooshy-faced breed and size. Only a specific airline would fly him and he actually couldn't come directly to the Big Island because he had to get checked out/approved by a vet in Honolulu in order to avoid quarantine. Despite all of these details, we had absolutely no issues and were completely at ease about his actual travel experience (aside from normal pet-parent anxiety). We worked directly with Kim for the whole experience and she was very meticulous and communicative. She covered everything and spoke to both my husband and I together and separately and answered whatever questions we had promptly, clearly, and genuinely. I recently had my cats transported cross country from Nebraska to Arizona. I didn't want to drive 20+ hours with two cats because I didn't even want to drive myself 20+ hours. So I looked for transport options online. I found Happy Tails Travel and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Based upon your needs they will consult with you about whether air or ground transport is best. For me, ground transport seemed the best option. They paired me with a wonderful driver, who I chatted with ahead of time to get acquainted with and to share some information about my cats and their idiosyncrasies. Throughout the overnight trip, the driver sent really cute photos and kept me updated on my cats every few hours. I was never left wondering what might be happening or whether they were safe. The cats arrived safely and, while they are still in a little bit of shock about the whole moving thing, they are fine.
