The staff at the U of A Passport Office were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable about the process and thorough. There is a lot of discussion these days about people not knowing how to make eye contact with customers, about being distracted, well that was definitely not the case here. Great customer service. Please have your paperwork in order and the process should be smooth. I regret not having my passport photo taken at the U of A Passport Office because it would have taken about an hour out of this entire process (also they may have better lighting ). I know parking may be a reason why people may choose to go to a different location to submit their passport paperwork but going here is so worth it! read more

The UA Passport office was absolutely the best place I can imagine to apply for a passport. They were polite, helpful and efficient, We applied for 2 passports and had our photos taken for the passports at their office. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to apply for a passport. read more

I took time off work to use UA passports, only for them to be a no show for our scheduled appointment that we made in advance. We booked for 7:30am and waited for over 45 minutes. I can't speak about how good their service is, but I would recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time. read more

Remember to bring everything you might need, including a check to pay for the fees. We got lucky with timing and the line was really short. Unfortunately one of the lines was not properly completed and about ten days later we had to go to the main passport center to complete the update. Even with this hiccup it was a lot easier to use them. read more

everything. The people are so rude and talking about how they hate their jobs and how stupid the pay is and everything they were not professional and very rude. Made me come back a week after I had an appointment because they said I had the wrong amount on my money order but then when I came back, it turns out I had the correct amount so there was no reason to wait and go through all, the problems to just get my passport read more

They open at 8a and we got there at 815 and we're number 15 in line. The lady at the front is very nice and kind, she has great customer service, but she does not have a good process/flow in the way she handles customers. She allows any and everyone to come up and ask multiple questions instead of redirecting them (wait your turn) or making them aware there is a # to call prior to your appt to get all of those questions answers. By her servicing their questions it delays the process big time in the next number being called. I also highly recommend people come prepared to provide paperwork , make your own copies and complete the forms prior to arrival. Have your money orders in order, people were leaving to get money orders- not sure why you wouldn't know this. read more

Melanie at the UA Passport office was fabulous. I had a renewal and my husband was getting his first passport. They do not process renewals there, but Melanie took a moment to look over all my paperwork and took a terrific photo for my renewal application. (Way better than the one Walgreens tried to sell me! :-P) She also verified how much my renewal would cost, where to send it and how. My husbands application process also went smoothly. I went this morning to renew my passport. I found out that you can't renew it here and you need to mail it. That being said Lorrie was AMAZING!! She was so helpful with double checking that everything was in order and let me know a couple things that I missed. I can't thank her enough for everything she did to help me ! I did find that getting there 30 minutes before they opened ( They open at 8 am) helped reduce the wait time. I was the second person in line. I went there last Friday at 1:30 pm and all the tickets for the day were handed out. They spend about 15 minutes with you so this is understandable that they could not hand out more tickets for the day. read more

We received such wonderful service here that I feel compelled to leave a review, even though I doubt many people will end up reading it. I have lived in Seattle and Portland before moving to Tucson, and as a result of my experiences dealing with various bureaucratic agents there have come to DREAD any sort of process involving the state or federal governments, school administration, etc. I also am EXTREMELY uncomfortable having my photo taken. As you can imagine, I had a lot of anxiety about applying for a passport, and even ended up in a disagreement with my partner before we headed there, which only added to my apprehension and stress. However, by the time that we left the office, my spirits were lifted. We were helped by a delightful woman, I believe it was Karen(?) but I'm not great with names (she's the only non-white woman working there). She helped to make sure that the application was filled out correctly, as well as giving some advice to ensure that we wouldn't hit any snags that would cause us to not receive my passport in time. More than that, she was extremely amicable and funny, and casually and enthusiastically chatted with us about a variety of topics which you would seriously not expect to have a conversation about at the passport office. This review is seriously overdue but I just wanted her to know how immensely helpful she was and what a big difference her service made to my overall experience. read more

I was just there for mine and my daughter's passports and passport photos. Melanie Marsh helped us out, and she was great! When I had my passport photos taken ($10), I received a coupon for a free passport photo, which I was able to use right away for my daughter. Make sure you bring all the required documents (along with black-and-white copies of them), and you will save a lot of time. read more

I went on a Friday. The line moved really slow with one person working at the counter. They got through 4 customers in an hour and stopped signing people in at 1:30pm because of the long line and she said "just because you're signed in doesn't guarantee you." She tried her best. I left an hour later because there were still 12 people in front of me. I recommend going in before they open. Its not the best place to go to if you don't want to wait awhile. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff and not hectic. They are knowledgeable and help with the passport forms and can even take the passport photos while you wait. It does cost $25 more than just printing the form from State Department website and mailing it in but if you have any questions or doubts or issues that need human intervention this office is wonderful. read more
