We were having a hard time finding a dump site along our way home. They lef us pull into a site and dump and didn't even charge us. We've stayed here one other time and had great customer service then as well. The sites are well maintained and have trees for shade. read more

Great park right off I5. Clean, tidy and friendly service. We are double towing a fifth wheel and boat. Great pull throughs made it easy to park. Gas station and a Mel's diner walking distance. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Mel's. Will stay again. read more

This review was for a stay during the the Covid-19 pandemic. We stayed at Happy Times RV Park one night in November. Price was $35 + tax for a pull-through site. We spoke to Teresa on the phone to reserve a site. She was very nice and found one that would fit us. We paid by credit card so we could just pull in with no contact. The site was gravel, pretty level and long enough for our truck and trailer (56 ft. overall) not to unhook. Amenities were a pool, shade trees and picnic tables. We were on the end with a nice area on our patio side. It is a clean, quiet place to stay for a night for a good price. I would definitely stop here again for an overnight. read more

This place is perfect it's right off i5 on road 8 exit to county rd 99w left turn about a thousand feet and your there. These new workers in the office so someone is always there happy to greet you. Family friendly with a pool. Easy pull straight in sites a public restroom with hot showers and laundry room both open 24 hours. This place is old but not dirty old the maintenance is kept up daily no party's or loud people to disturb your vacation or space the rents are cheap over nite and extended stay are reasonable. Just a stones throw to 505 that will put you on your way to sanfransico or stay on i5 for approx 40 miles south is Sacramento this is a place you need when it counts don't be afraid of it cause they don't bite it's country folks in a country setting read more

This does not deserve even a one star, not for the physical aspect, but certainly for their complete lack of answering phones or returning calls. So I drove the few miles off the highway ahead of the rv to get a spot. It was during their "office hours" of 2 to 6. Not a sole in sight and there were a couple empty spots. So we leave and go to the next nearest campground, Yolo county fairgrounds. Very nice! Ran into the sheriff there, told him of our Happy Time campground experience and he stated that we made the right decision, that we don't belong at Happy Time. We took that as a warning as an unsafe location. Hopefully you won't waste your time there as well! read more

We have a beautiful grass area for our 69-90 lbs dogs! The staff was awesome, helped us out with a plug. Just a quick reasonable stop for the night. We would stop again. We are fully contained so didn't use the facilities! read more

Perfect place for a quick overnight. Though most of this park is full timers there are 5 easy pull thru's with full hookup's for traveller's. It's quiet, clean and easy on / off the 5. A plus ...there is a Pilot Travel Center around the corner for fuel. Though it is kinda hard to get a hold of the office, once connected they are friendly and no big reservation requirements. Just a name. You pay when you get there. Price is decent. Would pop in here again. read more

This actually a nice little RV Park! Very easy access off the 5. Exit 554 going north, 556 going south. Near a Pilot Truck stop. The park has gravel roads and sites, but has mature trees and some grass. The over night spots are right when you drive in, and are pull through 50A. Big rigs are fine, but unhook your toad after checking in as the turns are pretty sharp right after the check-in hut. In the future I would stop on the entrance road to check in, and avoid the turn after the hut. There is no sign on the main road, so just look for the RV's Because of all the trees, the overnight sites are well shaded from late afternoon sun, and are on the non-freeway side of the park. Actually pretty quiet. The pool looks clean and inviting. The park seems to be kept up, and I did not see any pest or bug issues noted by another reviewer. The woman at check in was very nice - I felt like a welcome guest. Based upon my experience, I will return. This is a great mid-way stop coming/going to Oregon. Not too "happy" with Happy Time RV. Tried for two days to make a reservation by phone. I kept getting the usual "we're away from the phone, leave a message blah, blah, blah..." but no call back after 3 or 4 messages left. Reserved somewhere else...took 5 minutes. Business tip for Happy Time: either answer the phone or check messages and call back. read more

I called and grabbed a spot because I was running out of miles and I was getting tired. So I called and was greeted by a wonderful woman who went above and beyond for me. After securing the sight she then did everything to make sure my stay would be a good one. I felt at home before arriving. When o finally arrived hours after dark I found my check in and a personal map again insuring I was taken care of. I drove through the gravel road to see my space with a small yard and a picnic table. If you have a larger trailer use caution because there is room but not a lot. My space was only 1 degree off level so I was pleased. I will definitely make this place a stop in my travels again. read more

This place is great. Husband called ahead yesterday, and the manager gave him our site # right away, instead of waiting until she arrived. The site was nice and level. He were able to get us set up & settled very easily. The office manager is very nice & helpful. We will definitely come back here again. read more

Easy to check into at night while no attendant. We needed a place to stop from the 5 and my net was acting funky and wouldn't help me find another spot for the night. There is a lot of perms here but they keep to themselves and hey it was just over night for some rest. The bugs here are bad! Flies, mosquito's, and yes HUGE spiders!! I mean tarantula's every where!! I hope we did't pick any up with us!! The good, the cable was ok, better than the last stop. I would try for the next stop north if you can make it. read more

We have stayed at Happy Time RV Park twice a year for the past 5 years while on our way to and from a hosting assignment at a California state park. It is a friendly, easy to get into and quiet. We would like to address a couple of other reviews read here: 1. We are grateful that management does NOT allow Pitbulls there (most RV parks do not allow them). We have 3 Dachshunds and don't want to worry about them being attacked when walking them. Nearly 100% of attacks are done by Pits. 2. We have never been bothered by bugs whether flies or mosquitoes or spiders. As far as tarantulas are concerned - I dare you to fine even one anywhere around! We have recommended this park to many people and all have been happy there. We will continue to stay there on our future travels. read more

I called to ask about tent sites and after I was told there was availability I stated that my girlfriend has a service dog for seizures. The woman asked what type of dog and I said pit mix, and she said that breed was unacceptable (BOTH of Helen Keller's dogs were Pits btw) and I mentioned that her discrimination was against the law. Then I was asked how long I would be staying. I wasn't certain because I needed to have my Mercedes Sprinter serviced while I stayed (hence the tent site) and the woman had the gall to ask if I was homeless!!! Then she stated that the park has the right to refuse admission to anyone for any reason and she would "pass" on having us as guests! I was appalled by her lack of ADA and service animal laws as well as her rude and crass attitude. My girlfriend is certainly going to report this place for discrimination. I guess it's a dump anyway. read more

This is our third time staying here, once in December 2015 and again in September 2016. We have friends in the area. There are over 100 sites, plus tent and dry camping sites. Access into the park is easy, some of the turns in the park can be a little tight depending on how others have parked their cars. There are a number of full time/long term residents and not all are kept up. Check in is always fast and friendly. It is right off of I-5 and across from a Pilot Station so there is some road/truck noise but not too bad. We were in Site 25, a gravel pull-thru with full hook-ups. The sewer hook-up was clogged, some idiot filled it with rocks!! We were able to use one from the site next to us, and they sent someone out to work on the clog. It is an end site so we had a nice patch of grass and shade trees. It was just long enough for our 37' Class A and tow-dolly with our car parked on the road in front of our rig. Sites 1-6 are the best for short stays - long pull-thrus with full hook-ups. They do not have WiFi but our Verizon signal was strong. We did not use the laundry or bathrooms. There is a small pool. We stayed September 29 - October 8, 2017 and paid $25 a night with our Good Sam discount. read more
