Nice little pool and also a coy pond.

My kind of lodging. A small motel from 100 years ago. Nicely maintained. Clean. Affordable. This hits what we look for dead center! Good air conditioning. Coming back home we came here again, skipping Expedia and ended up paying $12 more! I got a thank you from the owner thanking us for the nice review of our first stay and suggesting we book direct and get a better rate. Maybe because we walked in and announced that we were returning customers. Not helpful. Be sure to use Expedia. I am removing one star.

Lovely little motel. Very well kept building. Two reasons it is not 5 stars: used the fitness center. 3 machines, a medicine ball (but not enough room to do anything with it), water dispenser, but no water, and by far the most important flaw: the belt on the treadmill is slipping. I almost fell the couple of times that I did try to run. Not safe, at all. The other reason it's not 5 stars is the outdated timing mechanism in the bathroom. It's not a big deal, but when you're shaving your legs in the shower and the 10 minute timer runs out, it's not great. Plus, the timing knob in my room doesn't work properly, so it kept slipping and I had to tug at it, push it, pull it, just keep trying until it finally caught the timer and turned on. Otherwise, would have been a perfect stay. But seriously, a slipping treadmill is dangerous

What a pleasant inn and a good nights sleep. We were tired of large hotels with inside rooms. All night long you hear SLAM from the doors closing all throughout the halls (you know what I mean). So , we opted for the 1960's style single level hotel with doors on the outside and parking close by. Judging from their Yelp review and several other review sites we knew we got a gem. Totally remodeled with all the amenities we needed including comfortable beds. The staff has been gracious and accommodating. There is also a bbq, pool, gym, playground and sport court. Skip the big motels in town and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.

My partner and I travel to northern Ca about twice a year, our usual stop from Los Angeles to mid-point is Redding. This year we decided to drive 13 hours to Gasquet but, with the bad weather we decided to leave a day early and stop when we got tired. Since it was less than a 12 hour stay, I suggested we get an affordable spot that serves breakfast and with a long shot possibly, a gym? All signs and reviews pointed to this location, Checking in was a breeze Manny was more than helpful showed us to our room, explained the continental breakfast etc.. I used the gym for as long as I could and I have to give them kudos for even considering having one. Its very small with 3 cardio machines, dumbbells and big medicine ball. The treadmill and elliptical needed some work. As for the room, it was meh- comfortable and clean but we were right on the road. I am a light sleeper and I woke up every time a truck or car w loud exhaust drove by it was that or the heater turning on. I would suggest asking for a room further in the back not in front of the road. Breakfast - Continental 6-9am grab and go. Kinda healthy, the raisin bran was hella stale but the rice crispies were good. I also like that they offered hard boiled eggs! Coffee was not very good. PET FRIENDLY - Designated rooms so please call ahead and let them know when you are coming $20 per pet, per night

TLDR: reasonable accommodations, remodeled from older "bones," friendly front desk. Well lit parking and courtyard area, and felt safe overall. Included parking spots near the room. Breakfast is very basic. Comfortable bed. Loud A/C fan unit. Perfectly okay. Nitpicky commentary: Two rooms' entrances face the public street (119 and 120, I believe). Minimal sound dampening means guests will hear each car and truck driving by. Get a room facing the courtyard. Towels are clean but thin and well traveled. Stale, humid air upon entry. The last guest left a frozen lasagna in the freezer, suggesting housekeeping doesn't check all areas of the room. Carpets leave much to be desired (especially as a pet-friendly hotel, but it didn't smell like a dog). Soaps are sufficient, but just okay. Continental breakfast is appreciated, basic but offered in a tiny foyer that shares space with the front office/check in space with little natural flow for more than one guest at a time. Basic continental items (small pastries didn't look appetizing, hard boiled eggs, two cereals, coffee, and juice). Coffee packets in the room are vile, the breakfast coffee was better. Less than $100/night was more than fair for a locally owned, private hotel, but nothing blew me away. Perfectly okay.

Nice little stopping point for the tired traveler. Our room was small but comfy and tidy. The front desk person was lovely. Honestly, no complaints here. The accommodations met our needs, the price point was reasonable, and we would stay here again.

VERY friendly clerk helped out on the phone getting our reservation and helped out during the check-in and check-out process. The rooms are a tad small but very clean, the bathroom mirror was too high for me ( doesn't help I'm short) but there was a side mirror used for shaving that came in handy. We had our pet with us (extra fee) and she was very accommodating. There is a small pet area. Laundry accomodations were available as well.

The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly. The room was fantastic. Absolutely clean, yes, the carpet is old, but it's clean. The bathroom is spotless, the TV has a great picture with Dish Network. The Wi-Fi was plenty fast and able to stream video , the bed was a little bit firm for my personal taste, but I still got a great night sleep. There's a fridge and a microwave, and the heater keeps you more than warm. If you need a little bit more, they also provide a comforter. The room is well lit, and I had plenty of places to charge my gear. The bed only provided three pillows, and so if there's two of you, you may have to ask the office for another. The motel also has a coin washer and dryer. There was no breakfast, but I didn't expect there to be. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I wasn't expecting much. The room was under $100 and I didn't know that price point existed anymore. Pulled in to where the check-in window was. We got Room 7. Parked in front of Room 7. The room had a bed, table with two chairs, small fridge.. i want to say microwave above the fridge but i don't remember. The bathroom had a bottle opener fixed to the wall. Small packaged bar of soap and a packet of shampoo/conditioner was also in the bathroom. I was fine with the place. My boyfriend hated it, hated the mildew smell, hated the whole town of Williams. I feel like he was in a bad mood. If I paid more, I would understand but price, location.. my expectation adjusted to match that. Good price and I wasn't afraid to be there.. Afraid if I was alone but two of us and a dog = okay.

Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and said we'd definitely do it again. We often come here for the birthday bingo. The crowd is usually large for it. There aren't many hotel options in Oroville, and this is definitely one of the two nicer choices in town (along with the Holiday Inn). That said, I do think the typical rate of about $135-$150 per night feels a bit high for what you get. However, staying in Oroville itself can be very convenient depending on why you're visiting, so sometimes the location justifies the price. One big plus is that the hotel feels safe. The rooms are interior-entry only, and you need your room key to access the building. When I arrived, the front desk staff buzzed me in. The staff throughout my stay were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. The property itself is very clean and well maintained. The rooms, corridors, parking lot, and hotel grounds were all in excellent shape. There is some overgrown land next to the property where you may see a few homeless individuals nearby, but they kept to themselves and did not bother anyone during my stay. There are several food options within walking distance if you're comfortable walking across parking lots and nearby roads. Right in front of the hotel are Panda Express and Starbucks, with Sonic just beyond that. Across the main road there's also a McDonald's, an ARCO AMPM gas station and mini-market, a Maverik travel stop, and Dutch Bros Coffee. One small tip: the driveway entrance to the hotel is easy to miss because the sign is very small and the turn comes up quickly, so keep an eye out when approaching. Parking is plentiful, but there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle, which felt unnecessary given the size of the lot and the room price. The complimentary breakfast from 6-10 AM was convenient and appreciated. During my stay they offered eggs (plain and cheese omelets), sausage, potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, fruit, and pastries. Coffee and hot water were also available in the lobby at all times, which was very nice. My main downside was the mattress in my room, which had a noticeable lump in the middle and sloped slightly on one side. The TV remote was also a bit confusing to use at first because the volume and channel controls are narrow bars rather than traditional +/- buttons. This next thing is really no fault of the hotel, but it does seem that there are a lot of contracted personnel (state or county?) who arrived later in the day after I got there. I know from past experience, sometimes different county or states or companies will contract with a certain hotel company to house their employees when they are on a job site. It seemed every single one of them had a large white work truck parked in the lot. Of course, these trucks take up a lot of room and barely fit into the parking spot - which then encroaches onto your parking spot so it doesn't leave a lot of room to get in and out of. I know it's not the hotel's fault where these people park, but I really wish that there is a way to make sure that all these trucks park in the back away from the main lot. So just fair warning if you're somebody that plans to use their car in the evening; you might have a hard time getting into the car if these workers happen to stay during your stay. Overall, this is a clean, safe, convenient hotel with very friendly staff and easy access to nearby food. If you specifically need to stay in Oroville, it's a solid choice. If rates are high and you don't mind driving a bit farther, you may find better value in nearby Chico, Marysville, or Yuba City.
