I am writing to you to express my extreme disappointment about their reservation cancellation policy. My wife and I made reservations through Expedia with Traveler's Inn for Tue, Jul 28 to Wed, Jul 29, (Itinerary # 73463144264880). We were planning to stay there on our way to Santa Barbara, CA where I was to perform some music at a friend's wedding, but then I just received the bad news that I will be needing to start radiation therapy for prostate cancer in July. The treatment involves 8 weeks of radiation sessions, 5 days per week, and must be uninterrupted. At a time when anxiety and stress are elevated I have to deal with spending $93.00 for a hotel stay that I can't use! Cancelling seven weeks in advance didn't seem matter to Traveler's Inn! How horrible is it that a business can be so cold and uninterested in an individual's specific circumstances, and does not offer a refund. I could understand it, and it would be justifiable, if the cancellation came within 1 week of the reserved date, because it might be difficult to fill that room in such a short time. But 7 weeks in advance!?!?!? I am so shocked by such a policy. I'm sorry to vent so much anger and frustration like this, but I am overwhelmed by the user-unfriendliness of this policy. read more

This was my second stay here while traveling to the Pacific Northwest, and once again it was a great experience. The town of Williams may be small, but it has several solid restaurant options along with fast food and pizza spots--and even DoorDash delivers right to the hotel, which is a nice bonus after a long day of driving. The hotel itself has been fully renovated, and it really shows. You can tell the ownership genuinely cares about both the property and their guests. Everything feels clean, updated, and well maintained. Amenities are excellent for a stopover or short stay. There's a swimming pool, a grill for cooking, and even a small gym. Parking is plentiful, and most of the time you can park right outside your room, which is great if you're traveling with a car full of belongings or just want peace of mind. In the morning, they offer a basic continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, danishes, and yogurt. There's no indoor dining area, but you can easily take it back to your room or enjoy it by the pool. The rooms are well stocked with soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and a shower cap, and I really appreciated the extra space heater in addition to the standard AC/heater wall unit--such a thoughtful touch. The internet is free and good signal. Pro tip: Book directly through the hotel's website. It's cheaper than Booking.com or Hotels.com (I saved $8), and the price difference more than makes up for any points you might earn elsewhere. It's also cheaper than walking in to book, and they do fill up quickly--when we checked in, only a couple of rooms were left. Coming back home we came here again, skipping Expedia and ended up paying $12 more! I got a thank you from the owner thanking us for the nice review of our first stay and suggesting we book direct and get a better rate. Lovely little motel. Very well kept building. Two reasons it is not 5 stars: used the fitness center. 3 machines, a medicine ball (but not enough room to do anything with it), water dispenser, but no water, and by far the most important flaw: the belt on the treadmill is slipping. I almost fell the couple of times that I did try to run. Not safe, at all. The other reason it's not 5 stars is the outdated timing mechanism in the bathroom. It's not a big deal, but when you're shaving your legs in the shower and the 10 minute timer runs out, it's not great. Plus, the timing knob in my room doesn't work properly, so it kept slipping and I had to tug at it, push it, pull it, just keep trying until it finally caught the timer and turned on. What a pleasant inn and a good nights sleep. We were tired of large hotels with inside rooms. All night long you hear SLAM from the doors closing all throughout the halls (you know what I mean). So , we opted for the 1960's style single level hotel with doors on the outside and parking close by. Judging from their Yelp review and several other review sites we knew we got a gem. Totally remodeled with all the amenities we needed including comfortable beds. The staff has been gracious and accommodating. There is also a bbq, pool, gym, playground and sport court. Skip the big motels in town and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. read more

My partner and I travel to northern Ca about twice a year, our usual stop from Los Angeles to mid-point is Redding. This year we decided to drive 13 hours to Gasquet but, with the bad weather we decided to leave a day early and stop when we got tired. Since it was less than a 12 hour stay, I suggested we get an affordable spot that serves breakfast and with a long shot possibly, a gym? All signs and reviews pointed to this location, Checking in was a breeze Manny was more than helpful showed us to our room, explained the continental breakfast etc.. I used the gym for as long as I could and I have to give them kudos for even considering having one. Its very small with 3 cardio machines, dumbbells and big medicine ball. The treadmill and elliptical needed some work. As for the room, it was meh- comfortable and clean but we were right on the road. I am a light sleeper and I woke up every time a truck or car w loud exhaust drove by it was that or the heater turning on. I would suggest asking for a room further in the back not in front of the road. Breakfast - Continental 6-9am grab and go. Kinda healthy, the raisin bran was hella stale but the rice crispies were good. I also like that they offered hard boiled eggs! Coffee was not very good. TLDR: reasonable accommodations, remodeled from older "bones," friendly front desk. Well lit parking and courtyard area, and felt safe overall. Included parking spots near the room. Breakfast is very basic. Comfortable bed. Loud A/C fan unit. Perfectly okay. Nitpicky commentary: Two rooms' entrances face the public street (119 and 120, I believe). Minimal sound dampening means guests will hear each car and truck driving by. Get a room facing the courtyard. Towels are clean but thin and well traveled. Stale, humid air upon entry. The last guest left a frozen lasagna in the freezer, suggesting housekeeping doesn't check all areas of the room. Carpets leave much to be desired (especially as a pet-friendly hotel, but it didn't smell like a dog). Soaps are sufficient, but just okay. Continental breakfast is appreciated, basic but offered in a tiny foyer that shares space with the front office/check in space with little natural flow for more than one guest at a time. Basic continental items (small pastries didn't look appetizing, hard boiled eggs, two cereals, coffee, and juice). Coffee packets in the room are vile, the breakfast coffee was better. Less than $100/night was more than fair for a locally owned, private hotel, but nothing blew me away. Perfectly okay. read more

Torn between 4 & 5 stars. Driving north on a road trip with our two 70lb dogs and looking for a comfortable place where we could all crash for the night. What we liked about this place: - Comfortable Bed - Very Quiet - Parking space immediately in front of the room's door made it easy/quick to load/unload the car. - clean room with updated luxury vinyl floor (and no pet smells from previous travelers). - very bright parking lot ; we felt like our vehicle was safe both because it was right in front of our room and the parking lot was brightly lit all night long - a pet area where dogs can do their business is located in front of reception - grab and go breakfast with hardboiled eggs and instant oatmeal We'd definitely stay here again on a road-trip, and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling with well behaved dogs. That said, the below are our nits that dropped it from 5 stars to 4 stars. Nits: Air conditioner should have more BTU's. We pulled in at 11pm at night and the room was quite hot. It took a full hour for the A/C to bring the room to a comfortable temperature. The window A/C was 8000 BTUs; I would recommend the owner's replace it with a 10,000 or 12,000 BTU unit....one hour to cool down at night is too long. The room could have been larger. It wasn't tiny, and worked fine for a one night place to crash for two people with two large dogs....but a little more space would have been nice. read more

Perfectly fine spot when you are stuck in the area and need a place to sleep. Went to a show at the nearby colusa casino and didn't want to stay there as it's supposed to be gross and smelly. VERY friendly clerk helped out on the phone getting our reservation and helped out during the check-in and check-out process. The rooms are a tad small but very clean, the bathroom mirror was too high for me ( doesn't help I'm short) but there was a side mirror used for shaving that came in handy. We had our pet with us (extra fee) and she was very accommodating. There is a small pet area. Laundry accomodations were available as well. read more

This place is like a model of what all reasonably-priced hotels should be: Very friendly and helpful management, clean rooms with all the basics, a reasonable check-out time and a comfortable bed. No breakfast currently due to covid, but I wouldn't have expected breakfast with a $100 room, so that is another benefit of staying here. Because of the pandemic, the most important thing to me is the cleanliness of the room, particularly the remote control (the most germ-ridden item in most hotel rooms) light switches, door handles, etc. Traveler's Inn is extremely clean, even in the places most people don't look (behind beds, etc.). I feel like I received an old-fashioned and all-too-rare bargain: Great service and a nice room for a reasonable price. read more

Reasonable rates, under $70 thanks to Booking.com. It is located on the north end of old Hwy 99 as you enter town, with easy access. The old 99 does not seem to have much traffic these days, so although our room was the closest one to the highway, the night was peaceful. Our room was clean, spacious and included a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, desk, flat screen. But it was also frustrating in several ways. Frustrating...very little flat surfaces for two suitcases, no counter space in bathroom at all, the bath soap stunk (bring your own), and the bed access was tight, squeezed into a cubby that was undersized, so getting in and out of the bed on one side was awkward. The side that shared the space with one lamp table was ok. Better suited for a single traveller than a couple. On the good side, it had a nice tub shower combination and a hair dryer, something I saw very little of outside California. The room was attractive, the single queen bed had a comfortable mattress. Word of warning. Trust Yelp, not the proprietor for food recommendations. Don't be lured by the steakhouse in downtown Williams for dinner, drink there if you must, but eat elsewhere. For a budget motel, this was fine. read more

Checked in tonight, this is a tiny little movie-serial-killer-style motel - all ground floor rooms next to each other, park right in front of your door. Everything clean, pressed, we'll maintained. We got a room w/2 queen beds. EXTREMELY firm mattresses. It's not the Hilton, it's small, and it's $94, $105+ w/taxes, for a night. It's OK, but pricey for what it is. Should be $80-85 max. My wife and I stopped here on our way back to Washington state from San Diego. Our stay was during the Covid-19 pandemic, so some of the services were unavailable due to regulations. As a result, I can't speak to thinks like food or other amenities. Our room was nice and clean, an important fact during the pandemic. The entire room showed evidence of deep cleaning, so we felt safe staying. The bathroom was a little small, but it provided a good, hot shower. Our bed was more comfortable than some other places I've stayed, but it was comfy enough to get a good night's sleep (important on a long road trip). I liked the lamp with the color-changing base; it set it to red to provide some illumination at night without killing my night vision. I do recommend this place to stay if you need a good rest while driving. read more

When we started to bring our luggage into the room we noticed there were a few flies. When we got back from dinner we now had about 15-20 flies in the room. We went to the front desk to see if they had any fly spray and to tell them about the problem. The girl said she didn't know anything about a fly problem (Total BS!). Honestly I was excited to stay here at first and I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. But having to walk my used towels to the front desk and pick up new ones on my own every time I would request towels to my room was where I had to draw the line. (side note: their phone doesn't work in any rooms so to ask for anything you have to walk to the front). I stayed here for 3 nights and we booked 3 rooms and not one time did they provide house keeping and when any of us requested it they told me the house keeping lady leaves at 12pm and that it was too late. When I requested toilet paper, towels, or anything to my room I had to pick it up myself and was not provided any type of room service. Everything is outdated and the bed springs are broken. The water faucet from the sink was only spilling boiling hot water couldn't get any cold. They threw away my personal items while they pretended they were cleaning. AND WE ALL GOT BUG BITES FROM INSIDE THE ROOM !!!! For the price of $400 for a 2 bed room that has no walk space, and almost no luggage space at all. The only good thing I could say is there was a pool. However I would recommend you spend your money else where. Maybe on an air bnb ?! read more

Really pleasantly surprised! These rooms are really nice and soooo affordable!! The fellow at the desk was so nice and actually showed me to my room, turned on the fridge and AC for me. This is like really really amazing service. This place is perfect for a stop on the way to Thunderhill! They serve breakfast in the morning and they have a fitness center onsite, which is unheard of in small town motels Sleep: The bed was firm with a cushion top but still firm. Pillows were medium not firm not soft. The curtains were proper blackout curtains. The air conditioner had working order bearing so not clunk on and off just awesome white noise. Quiet!!! Bathroom: Plenty of hot water, nice modern shower. The mirror in the bathroom was a bit too high for me so I used the vanity for getting ready. Room: beds, fridge, closet, vanity, and a chair Breakfast: included, coffee, cereal and pastries Location: Off the freeway but far enough to avoid the noise. read more

Small, single story motel so you get to park just outside your room-a huge blessing not having to carry luggage far. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The room was small and the bathroom tiny but it had a small vanity area with chair, light and counter space in the room-- very efficient. Grab and go breakfast of fruit, pastries, yogurt and hard boiled was convenient. There is a pool area we didn't use, but looked nice. Privately owned and operated, would definitely stay here again. read more
