I very rarely write reviews, but after seeing the negative reviews I had to voice my opinion. This dispensary is a10! I was so surprised to see the negative reviews for Happy Valley. They have such an amazing dispensary. The showroom is stunning and exudes simple elegance with a whole lot of fun! I do not smoke so I don't know about the flower. I only use medical edibles. I have been going here for some time now and have NEVER been unhappy. And their loyalty program is a great bonus, along with the sales they post every day. I find I get the best value ..their pricing is fair and all the products I got have been quality. Now, for the biggest cherry on top..they are a team and every staff person is friendly fun respectful...kind thoughtful and lovable. I just think that if their competition did as much as Happy Valley does for their customers they wouldn't feel the need to speak negatively about them. They also put out wonderful food and DJ music depending on holiday and weather. Coffee and bagels on occasion and lots of pizza days! And Ritchie's slush on a hot summer day! I don't partake very regularly but when I do I appreciate a good edible. Happy Valley actually has a parking lot which is a hot commodity in East Boston. They're easily accessible from the south side of 1A heading into Boston proper. They have a ramp and stairs into the entrance. You must provide your ID before entering the actual dispensary and they have cash machines both right outside and immediately inside for convenience. I believe they also use your debit card at the counter like you would an ATM but don't quote me on that. I like how they have things set up so you can easily identify what you're in search of and what they have available. There are ALWAYS specials going on so make sure you read the little card or ask your budtender. There are lines set up to separate from medical, recreational, or pre-order pickups. Even when it's busy the lines move fast. I have worked with several different budtenders onsite and they're all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Like I said above, I only do consumables rather than smokeables. They have a huge selection of gummies, chocolates, candies and drinks. What a lovely place! I was researching tinctures and such for pain management and I came across Happy Valley. From what the reviews for their products, it would be worth a try. Looking at the distance between Bosyon and original location, I was excited to see the grand opening for the East Boston location, was on 6/24, the day I'd be visiting the city! So I went on a grown up field trip to NYC to Boston. Note: driving is easier, public transportation to this place requires a tricky intersection crossing and 1/4 mile stroll alongside a busy roadway. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and carded by security politely and then invited inside The ladies at the front counter were so sweet, we chatted a while and then we were off the the showroom floor. The decor is sleek modern and minimalist, allowing the product to shine. Despite the obvious taxes (they are steep. Their personable and patient staff helped me find everything I was looking for. Your order is processed and passed through a cubby with doors, ready. Only issue..... cash or debit only, plus a $3.50 surcharge on debit. Other than that, this was a fantastic experience. I have been one of Happy Valley's most loyal customers since they have opened there doors. I have been to the location over 500 times the staff is great but the operation has gone down hill. They have been understaffed every time i have been in for over a month resulting in long wait time for walk in customers. Having two people behind the counter is unacceptable when they are responsible for taking orders and handing out all the purchases. If you want to understaff you cannot give priority to pick up and medical customers and force your walk in customers to wait for a half hour and line not move. Either staff 5 budtenders like you used to or have one line. read more

This place is a rip off. I recently purchased 3.5g of flower and when I got home and opened I could tell just by looking at it that it wasn't 3.5g, so I weighed it and I was right! I'm confused at the fact that there are negative reviews. I've been coming to this place since it opened and live about two minutes away. I've also been able to compare it to many other dispensaries I've been to in the past. Customer service is almost non existent in the world today, but not here. From the front desk to the bud-tenders, it's 5 stars across the board. I usually go to one employee In specific because of his knowledge, attention, and attitude. Alex is an asset to Happy Valley and is one of the main reasons I come back on a weekly basis. At this point I don't even pick anything, I trust him so much I just ask him to pick for me and never disappoints. Happy Valley is knowingly selling leaking 510 thread carts. I have purchased over twenty 1 Gram carts in the last 6 months from Happy Valley. The distillate is excellent and they are the most affordably priced carts around, but for over the last 3 months the carts have routinely started to leak & become clogged once roughly 50% consumed, although some have leaked and clogged before ever being used. When I first questioned Happy Valley about why the carts were leaking they were very concerned with which "Cultivar" I had purchased. I had mostly purchased "Grape Diamonds" and was told that they had been having some issues with "Grape Diamonds" 1 gram carts & that I could come in and exchange it, recommending I make a different selection. (They never disclosed the known leaks at the time of sale Or could explain why "Grape Diamonds" would leak opposed to the others.) Over the next few weeks I would learn through trial & error that virtually all 510 Cultivars at Happy Valley leak. The second time I called to report a leak I was lead to believe that it was an anomaly, even though I had routinely been buying the carts for months with no prior issues. I know this was not the truth because when I came in to make the exchange I conversed with another customer who was also making a return and was having an identical experience as me: a product they used to love (gram carts) were now routinely defective, requiring an exchange. "at least they're good about it" this person said. Happy Valley has suggested I store the carts upright (I built a stand to constantly hold them vertical). Happy Valley has suggested I buy half gram carts (They cost more per gram & they also leak). Happy Valley even once suggested I take a syringe and transfer the oil into a cart that I know is not leaking (?). Happy Valley did modify their return policy to allow leaking carts to be exchanged within 4 days of purchase, but it is inconvenient and embarrassing to have to keep driving back to the store because the cart Is leaking again. Also, the problem tends to present itself once the cart is moderately consumed.. for many, that won't be within 4 days. You may suspect that there is user error on my part even though I've ran into others who have a similar experience.. it's something I questioned myself, but was reminded that I've been smoking 510 carts since 2018 and never had one leak unless it came from Happy Valley, which I've now experienced over a dozen times. Ive attached a picture of a piece of paper I was wiping the oil on as it was leaking out of the mouth piece. worth noting this distillate makes for a very bitter tasting edible. (The distillate leaks out of the reservoir and into the hollow shaft in the center of the cart that you inhale the vapor through. Once it leaks out it hardens, forcing you to suck the clogged oil out or insert something into the chamber to pierce it) read more

Literally a hit or miss. I buy at least 1 ounce a month & they have great products, but it depends who is ringing you up. Sometimes we apply the veteran discount sometimes we don't. Either way would rather drive to Gloucester than dictate over 28 items to clerk who rolls dice when applying discounts, especially when you have cancer and your time is precious. Oh and don't use their phone app, literally a waste of space since I have rarely been able to process an order without system crashing or not updating quantities correctly. read more

I don't write reviews often but this is by far the best dispensary I have ever been to. Incredibly organized and modern on the inside, plenty of staff, and plenty of extremely high quality products to choose from -- all in pretty packaging. Not only are the products high quality, but everything is competitively priced and there are almost always great deals. The only medical dispensary to my knowledge that is open until 9 in the Boston area; no matter how far you are, the trip is worth it. The only caveat being the toll road on the way there! The strains are all hybrid. The Indica leaning strains are low in THC. Their rates are more expensive than most around. They don't stack promotions with discounts even though when they advertise there's no mention you can't. Too many people working but service is slow. Must show ID too many times. The prices are pretty much what dispensary prices were years ago when the first one or two opened and there was no competition. Now that we have dispensaries on every other block they still sell their stuff as if they are only place in mass. It's not any better then other store product just way more expensive. Had a absolute honor touring and getting to grab some of products from the shop today! Hospitality is unmatched and hands down the nicest dispo I've been to in Massachusetts. Tried calling their customer service, was hung up on twice. Contacted multiple people on instagram, one employee told me that there is zero chance that trim is used for concentrates, the other gave me some run around about different tier levels while admitting that Happy Valley does use trim for many of their concentrates.
