I contacted Happy Wall about stucco repair due to water damage around a window and to fill in where wood trim had been for two other windows. His response was quick and an excellent price. Theresa's always an Angel in the middle of a crisis. And my Angel is Arturo of Happy Wall. One week before Christmas, FedEx collided with another vehicle and subsequently crashed into our perimeter wall. No one was hurt. The crash took out about 10 feet of the wall exposing our backyard and pool to the street. Many companies would not come out due to the holiday or their lack of laborers to do the work. Further, suppliers said the blocks are 22 years old and not in stock. They were special order, minimum orders of 3 pallets, 2 month minimum before arrival. I missed Christmas with my family having to stay to protect my home. I called Happy Wall who sent a humble Knight in shining armor. Arturo saw the situation, calmly reassured me he had friends/connections and that he had this under control. He simply drove around the city to various block suppliers, buying here and there, and arrived a day later to construct the wall. He restored our wall with the matching style blocks in assorted colors and then painted the wall to flawlessly match. Arturo takes pride in his workmanship and truly cares that his customers are satisfied. I will always be grateful. Great job! I needed my wall in the garage to be patched up as there were so many holes from some electrical work I had done. It is still a "small job" by painting and drywall standards, and I took to my trusty YELP-dom to find a highly rated drywall specialists. Response - I used the Yelp request for quote and Yelp sent the request out to four businesses. Arturo responded within hours and gave me pricing based on the picture I sent him. Of the other four companies that Yelp had sent requests, one was too expensive and answered late, one said they were busy and one did not respond at all! 5 stars on the response! Timely - Arturo's assistant arrived 30 minutes early and Arturo came right on time. I tell you I am a bit anal retentive, so them showing up on time was really great for my psychosis! Quality - Well, this is a garage, and the original finish was quite rough but painted. They carefully put plastic all over my garage, covered everything. Then, they prepped and sealed and fixed all the holes. They also painted everything and it looks just like new! Pricing - Very reasonable and they took about 4.5 hours to complete everything. Have a brick wall, heavily stuccoed and painted, that had settled over the last 20 years. This caused the stucco to separate along the joints and needed to be patched and repainted. Called Happy Wall and Arturo came by and gave me a quote within a day. He was set to come back and repair it within a couple of days after that, but I was torpedoed by my HOA (told me to hold off on the repair). So unfortunately I asked Arturo to wait until I get my HOA sorted out. Which I was never able to do. A few months after I asked him to wait, I called him back and he was still willing to do the work at the quoted price. I wish I hadn't listened to my HOA because Arturo was over within a few days of my re-request and did a fantastic job! We had some stucco repair work that needed to be done on our property wall fence, and I contacted Happy Wall. An appointment was scheduled for estimate and Arturo arrived on time. He was extremely nice, polite, friendly, and professional. He provided the estimate and for the amount of work I thought it was good value. He provided a time when he would arrive to complete the work, and he and another crew member arrived on time to begin work. They worked efficiently at scrapping off and removing the stucco that needed repair and then adding new stucco. They filled holes as needed and also sealed some cracks that they came upon in the course of repair work. Because the stucco needed to dry before painting, Arturo communicated that they would return in two days to complete the painting. Two days later, again on time, Arturo returned to complete the painting. He and his crew then returned everything back the way it was. They were careful with all the plants nearby and close to the wall. I do not have any paint overspray nor crushed plants. They were very careful. They took care to return all the rocks they had to dig and move in order to get to the base. Arturo and his crew did a wonderful job! The stucco repair perfectly matches the existing stucco and I can't tell there was repair work done. We are extremely happy with the work, the price, and the company! We would hire Happy Wall again! I was careful to specify that there was no fence or dog to deal with and let them know they did not need to worry about whether I was home or when they chose to visit my house to view the job. I was then asked for a photo, which I sent---along with complete measurements---and based on the info I supplied, was able to negotiate a price for the repair. The job was scheduled for a specific date the next week. This was all done with a single string of text messages. The day before the work was to be done, I received a text that the job had been cancelled, with the explanation that they could not perform the work because I had never given them my address. They had my address from our first communication and never asked me for it again. I had to conclude that a more profitable job presented itself and they invented a lame excuse to cancel mine. read more
