I used HappyNest loyally (and happily) for 3 years. However, recently, the quality of service has decreased significantly. (Which by the looks of these current reviews, is not an experience that is uniquely mine.) I recently had 35 items stained red by something the laundry pros claim was left in my pockets (although I only send my toddler's clothes to be washed and none of their clothes have pockets?). When I asked to see photographs of what was left in the wash they couldn't provide the photo and said they had already disposed of the item. This all felt suspect and dishonest because they claimed it was a marker but the stains were raised and hard almost like paint. To make matters worse, the 35 stained items were left folded on my porch without any attempt at communicating about the damaged condition of my clothes. What a horrible surprise to find when opening the laundry I paid for. When I inquired about the basic protection plan to replace some or all of the items, I was told that plan did not apply to me and that I would have to replace my items myself. (And the menial $35 credit they did offer after several rounds of back and forth emailing was for my NEXT load of laundry, implying I would ever be interested in sending my clothes to this company again.) The amount of downplaying and lack of transparency that occurred from the customer service team was shocking. I was so entirely disappointed by the level of "customer service" provided, especially considering my years of loyalty and that I had never filed a claim prior to that. Luckily, I was able to switch to Poplin for the exact same price, faster service, and much better customer service. Did not follow the detergent and folding options they give on their app and then didn't own the mistake. Do not use if you have any specifications on how your clothes are washed, dryer, folded or hung as they will not do it and will not own it. I specifically asked for free and clear detergent as my son has eczema and my clothes came back reeking of perfume (very strong smell) and they continue to assert that they used free and clear and the strong scent odor is from cross over from other washes. Ridiculous. Just own your mistakes. Be accountable. read more

I signed up for HappyNest Laundry Services thinking it would be an affordable and convenient option--big mistake. I had three bags of laundry and received a referral from my neighbor. When I clicked the referral link, I was forced to sign up, enter my personal and card details before I could even schedule a pickup. At no point was I informed of the price per bag. My laundry was picked up, and THEN I was hit with an outrageous $82 invoice! The original cost was $104, but I had a $25 referral credit. When I called to ask why the price was so high, I was told it was $35 per bag. This pricing was NEVER disclosed on the website when I signed up--if it had been, I never would have gone through with the pickup! I immediately told them that if my laundry hadn't been washed yet, I wanted it returned without service. They confirmed that nothing had been done yet and that they would return my laundry the next day. But then they had the audacity to charge me $35 just for picking it up. Excuse me? $35 for absolutely nothing? That's complete robbery! I reluctantly agreed, just wanting my laundry back. But then the next morning, I found out they didn't even adjust my invoice and still charged my card the full $82. I had to call AGAIN, and the agent admitted it was a mistake and that I should have only been charged $40. I corrected her--I was told the minimum order charge was $35, not $40. She backtracked and said, "Oh, yes, you're right, it's $35." Clearly, they don't even know their own pricing! To make matters worse, my invoice STILL hasn't been adjusted, and my card is STILL charged for $82. And guess what? I went back to check their website, and now it says they charge $29.99 per bag instead of $35. So are they just making up prices as they go?! This company is a scam, a complete ripoff. They pick up your laundry, don't disclose their insane pricing, and then hold it hostage while forcing you to pay for services you didn't even receive. I want my FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY. Worst place ever! 2 weeks in a row my close came back not folded. They offered me a complementary service. Then I saw they charged and called. It took 2 calls to reverse the charges. Then the returned my laundry and sent me some else's cloths on hangers. I called they said they would pick up the cloths that day. They did not. I had to call again they said they would get the next day. Meanwhile I got a note from them canceling me as a customer. The moral of this story - don't complain or give them feedback or you'll be fired as a customer. read more

Happy Nest lost half of my laundry. It is frustrating with them and all the back-and-forth emails with no resolutions. They haven't even refunded the money they took for the initial wash where they lost 1/2 of our clothes. They even want the receipt for the clothes they lost. Make sure you know what you sent and have receipts for everything you send to them!!! read more

They shunk numerous items so badly that there is no saving them. They must have washed them in scalding water or on turbo heat for hours to have shrunken them so much. I double checked our account to make sure our preferences were set correctly to not warrant hot water or heat before contacting the company to see if they would make it right in any way. After contacting them about the damaged items I received an almost immediate response that they are not responsible for "damaged" items but would offer us a $10 credit for the inconvenience. I really wouldn't call the items "damaged" but would rather call this "mishandling" or "incompetent care" of my items. In other words I don't think Happy Nest knows how to do laundry! This company is the worst! Don't pick-up when they say they will. Then they didn't return the laundry when they said, so I got the address and drove to get my sheets and bedding. When I arrived after a 25 minute drive I was told my laundry was being delivered already. They had been advised by their corporate representative that I was coming to pick it up. No call to advise me that it was going to be delivered. The copper is when I got my laundry. It was missing my bowl and branch top sheet Boland branch sheets go for about $400 for a king size set I called right away and let them know they were supposed to be calling me back within three days never heard from them again whole experience cost me about $450. After that my sheets look like they were folded by a 10-year-old. The sheets that were returned that is. read more
