And was very compassionate when I shared my story of loosing my husband 5 months ago, and how he did everything with our vehicles and I was just lost at it all especially with any vehicle stuff. He even taped my back light for me to hold the cracks together! Yesterday David the manager helped me by doing a free test on my van and told me what i needed to order a new part to fix the problem. He was very nice especially to be out in the pouring rain to help me. He knew exactly what everything was and tried to explain the problem even though I am not the best at all for car problems! Also last Friday I had help from Aiden to tape up a crack on my back light, he also put it back in place for me. He was nice and I didn't feel rushed, he gave great customer service as well! Thank you to all 3 of these men for helping me with all my van issues the last few days! They definitely have the best customer service out of ALL the auto places in town! Thank you all again, me and my babies really appreciate it!

I took my high mileage 1999 GMC 1500 here for tires, I don't use this truck a lot these days. But I…read morebought top of the line Cooper tires. As when I need i the truck, I need it..They installed them, I was happy with my purchase, no issues. So approximately 1 year later, Having no cause to pull any of the wheels off at al since l, I needed to put on rear brake pads, (I usually do all my own service work as I have been a mechanic for most all of my life) and thought I would go ahead and rotate the tires while doing this. So I jacked it up on all 4's using a my battery powered impact, all the lugs came off as expected except for the RF wheel. It took a socket breaker bar, with a 4ft cheater bar to get ANY of the 6 Lugs off that wheel, 3 broke off while trying to come off, 3 I managed to get off, but they still required all these same tools ALL the the way off. At 72 years old, Not fun! Bottom line: severely over torqued in my opinion. So I had to pull the caliper/caliper bracket, rotor, off just to get at them. I replaced 6 lugs, and 6 nuts. especially with Anti Lock brakes(normally you would just replace a hub assy, Delco $270.00 at AutoZone) not to mention that took me all day to replace the studs and nuts after all was done. Last I had to ask a friend to take me to a parts store to get the parts. As I was in Ohio when this happened. I looked up their Website, they were on Facebook, and showed a Email address, so I emailed them, sent in pictures of the issues, and awaited a response. Nothing, next day nothing, no returned email notice, so I called, explained the issue, then the excuses started. First I was told one one tech per job. I was the only one there at the time they were doing my tires, 3 guys worked on my truck. Next excuse was that lugs nuts and studs were a high wear item, this trucks wheels and tires had only ever been off previously 4 times, My Dad, Me, Both of us take our wheels off and take them to a tire store, and put them back on ourselves normally. this time I was heading to FL with the truck and didn't have time to do it myself. Anyway, the excuses kept coming, despite that it took me all day to go get the parts, do the job to get the truck back on the road, I was asking for the 35.00 it cost me to buy the parts.. He said, he could MAYBE deduct it off of future service... By that time I was steaming mad... still calm though..I said well I can see where this is going... and then he hung up on me! No profanity from either... as if I would ever go back there with all the excuses! So If you get your tires there, I hope you don't have the experience I had! I would hate to think what this would have cost me for a/this shop to do it!!! So glad i was at home, and not broken down on the road with this.. Had I been there, and taken it to them I'm sure I would have had to pay for a hub assy, lugs, and who knows what else...and labor!! Never ever again! I will try to add more pictures later.

BUYER BEWARE: High Country Toyota of Scottsboro, AL Turned a Routine Maintenance Visit Into a…read moreNightmare My son's vehicle was completely drivable when he brought it to High Country Toyota for routine maintenance--brakes and spark plugs. What should have been a simple service became one of the worst customer service experiences our family has ever encountered. First, he spent over 8 hours at the dealership waiting for the work to be completed. Less than four hours after leaving, the engine began shaking violently and the check engine light started flashing. The reason: a faulty spark plug was placed (by High Country Toyota) on the car which broke off and fell in to the engine. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealership (45+ minutes away) as it was now, not drive-able. High Country Toyota initially accepted responsibility and paid for the tow. We were informed, with text messages documenting the work, that they had to disassemble the engine to remove a broken spark plug and perform additional repairs identified during their diagnosis. My son paid over $3,500 for those repairs. After finally getting the vehicle back, the exact same problem returned within 12 hours. This time, the dealership refused to pay for the tow. So another $250 was spent to get the vehicle back to their shop. Once the vehicle was returned, we learned that a part my son had already paid for had never been installed, yet they allowed him to drive away with the vehicle anyway. Now the story has changed. They are claiming they never had to go into the head gasket covers--despite previous communications--and are refusing to take responsibility for repairs that was caused from the spark plug falling into the engine and causing extensive damage that was NOT there prior to the initial maintenance for brakes and spark plugs being replaced. Instead, they are recommending an additional $5,000 in repairs and offering only a "small discount." To make matters worse: Meredith, the service advisor, was rude and repeatedly refused to allow me to speak with a manager. Requests for calls from the manager Scott and master mechanic were ignored. We never received the promised callbacks after multiple request from Scott The only employee who consistently communicated was Lexi, who simply relayed that management and the master mechanic were denying responsibility. We have spoken with multiple independent mechanics with over 40 years of experience, and they have all expressed concerns that the explanations we are receiving do not add up. The car was running before it went to High Country Toyota. After trusting them with routine maintenance, we've spent thousands of dollars, endured multiple tows, countless unanswered calls, conflicting explanations, and are now being told to pay thousands more for damage they refuse to acknowledge. Accountability matters. Customer service matters. Transparency matters. Unfortunately, based on our experience, High Country Toyota of Scottsboro, Alabama failed in all three. We have saved text messages, invoices, and documentation of everything. Consumers deserve better.
