The AAA tow truck operator towed me in after my camper/van started smoking and ground to a halt at the Alabama Visitor's center on RT 59. I was on my way home to Florida after a long trip and this was a Sunday night. I'd had it checked and the fluids topped off the week before so I was shocked and afraid. I camped in Moe's parking lot with my dogs that night. The daylight brought Moe and his team on the scene ready before the doors even opened. He diagnosed the trouble right away (the transmission-I'll spare the gory details) but we needed another one quickly. I was traveling with 3 small dogs and there was a heat wave. Within 2 hours, his assistant had found 4 transmissions (Got to love a Ford). They explained the plusses and minuses of each: the mileage, price and distance. We picked the best option and it would arrive the next day. Jennifer from Moe's helped me find a local, pet friendly hotel and gave me a ride. She called me at every junction, when the transmission came in, any issues in installation. They finished ahead of schedule and Jennifer came to pick us up the morning after they started repair. I couldn't have been happier with the service or the support during a stressful adventure. I highly recommend Moe's Service and Repair!

Using Yelp I found this shop was the closest to I-59 (just west of exit 222) and the first shop I'd come to as I traveled south. Be grateful for the map that accompanies this review. Airport Tires (also identified as Wholesale Tires by location signage) would have been extremely hard to find without it, because it's not visible until you find and drive down the road it's on. What could have been a great misadventure was actually a really pleasant experience. I pulled in the parking lot and explained my problem in the office. My car was immediately taken into the shop where the large screw in my tire was quickly found. Less than 15 minutes later, we were on our way again. Very nice folks who know what they're doing and made us feel like we were neighbors they had known and cared about for years.

They should have called me.... 03-29-25 At this location I also requested my suspension to be lubed up and they never did. We've had several instances of waiting several hours for a simple oil change with only a car or two in front of us. This location has also had very bad customer service and communication. I have given them chance after chance, but they always fail at delivering. I don't ever complain about a location, but this one is pretty awful.
