Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Called for a couple of 2x4's. Both were waiting for when I walked in the door.

Came by yesterday after visiting my chiropractor just down the road knowing I was going to probably spend a little more than if I went to Home Depot or Lowes but knowing I would get some personal service and I wasn't disappointed. I came in looking for a sprinkler head and normally need help trying to find the right one and help is hard to come by in the larger stores. I've only been here once before many years ago so I was weary they would even have what I was looking for. I asked the young lady as I walked in and she directed me to their well stocked and displayed arrangement of sprinkles. I easily found what I was looking for as I had the broken one in hand and their set up made it super easy to find. I even got a second option upon checking out to make sure I had the right one and she concurred with me it was correct. She asked if I was military and got my discount too which I don't ask for so even that made up for a slightly higher price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and it couldn't be more true in place. They're considerably smaller than one of the big box stores, but still have an excellent selection of hardware and home decor items. Next time I'm in Lemoore I'll make sure I pay this place a visit for my hardware needs. Excellent service and great, organized selection! read more

Just moved here and am your average clueless young lady when it comes to plumbing and the hardware it takes fore specific jobs however, all I did was take photos of what I was dealing with and Gene practically walked me through everything! He collected all of the parts I needed and described what each one was! He was patient and kind the entire time!! I am happy I chose coming to their store than going to lowes or something. If you want to be asked if you need help 8 times in 5 minutes than by all means shop here!!!!! If you want to be treated like you have no idea what you're doing in a hardware store because you have a vagina then please go to this store!!! I have been here a few times because it is closer than HD or Lowes but I will be making the drive now!!!! All I needed was a nut for a bolt I have and I am perfectly capable of finding it myself!! I was having trouble with the nut fitting all the way on because the bolt is funky and from a specific chair. The clerk took the bolt from me and proceeded to try nuts I had already tried and then told me maybe I should buy a new bolt!!!! I left in a huff because I cannot stand the fact that I denied help 5 times yet they have SO MANY EMPLOYEES that they just keep asking!!!! UGH!!! I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. read more

If you value your time and money, and need some hardware items, this is the place to go. Period. Time: You walk in, ask the where to find for the item you need. If you know what you want, they show you. If you just know what you need to fix or do, they take you to what you need to fix it. They have actually come out to my car, evaluated the issue (lamp, table, faucet thing) gone back in, found possible matches, then back out until they found the right thing. Voila! Then after all that effort, they charge me 28 cents for one screw, one nut - exactly what I need and no more. Yes, 28 cents and 15 minutes of my time. Imagine this at Lowes?? Just the dodging carts to park and getting in the store part is 10 minutes, then finding someone to ask is 15, then they look around for part is another 10, being told to try "these (4.95 package), or these (3.95 package)..i'd have to see it..." is another 5; stand in line, or self check another 10, take the parts home, carefully open packages and discover sizes aren't just right. Back to store, can you return opened packages? (what did I do with the darn receipt?), buy the next size up, take that home - two trips in now (30 minutes). You get the point. As for product selection: They may or may not have the latest thing on TV, BUT - I guarantee that if it's the best at what it does, whether it is the old brand your grandparent's used or the newest brand. True Value hardware stores have it - they don't stock items based on what the manufacturer pays for the shelf space, but on how good it is at doing it's job. As for online: I order True Value online (patio furniture on sale, specialty light bulbs), have it shipped to Lemoore Hardware, and it takes five minutes to pick it up. Have you done "Buy online and pick-up" at a big box? Again, 5 minutes in line, 5 minutes to "look up" your order, 10 minutes to get someone to "go back" to pick it up, 5 minutes to check your id and confirmation number that hopefully you didn't forget. As for the few critical reviews I just read, I am confused at how people being eager to help you save time and money can be annoying. Oh - I am a woman - started shopping there at 20ish - and have never felt spoken down to. People who are eager to help are so uncommon in the 2000's that they can be misunderstood. Think of it like a warm, loving, grandma - she only wants the best for you - chalk it up as sweet and quirky - and love them for it. Your time and your wallet will be better off! read more

I love me some True Value! That hardware store smell that hits you as soon as you walk in reminds me of visiting my granddad's True Value back when I was a kid. Lemoore's location has your typical small-town-homey, mom-and-pop owned feel to it. Service is always helpful. Prices aren't bad. No they don't have the sheer volume of items you get at Home Depot or Lowes, but I'm often surprised at what they do have on hand. Sure, the Hanford stores are just 15 minutes away, but when I'm trying to get a project done and I just need a couple little things, I'm happy we have a hardware store close at hand and I do my best to support them. read more

This hardware store has the best selection of nuts and bolts you'll find anywhere, and you can buy just one if you like. The staff are always willing to help and Gene is super knowledgeable. If your used to going into a business and never being asked if you need help, then don't go here because you get genuine, old fashioned customer service. I love this place I tend to come in on the weekends when I'm working on my house and I tend to need things here and there! Michael and Kristian are usually there in the weekends and they are always so friendly and nice and help me solve my problem!
