Now hear me out; I know it was free and beggars can't be choosers, but they are giving these samples out so that people try them out, right? From my experience, they shouldn't have bothered. If a business sucks, giving out free samples is just a waste of their money. I got to experience how much they suck, but at least I didn't have to pay for it! So first off, this place is only open until 6 on weekdays, until 4 on Saturdays, and not at all on Sundays. It took me like a month and a half to find a time to go there when they would actually be open. This is a huge disadvantage of this place because I could just go to one of the large hardware stores nearby and get paint for the same price and not have to accommodate my schedule to theirs. Once I actually got into the store, it didn't take long to realize why their hours are like that; they only cater to contractors. There was one contractor in the store and I was pretty much ignored while they chatted on and on with the contractor. When they finally did mix my paint up, they let it sit in the shaker for quite a while after it had finished; they didn't want to bother grabbing it for me. They do offer a full quart as a sample which is nice, but they would only do it in a flat sheen. I won't mark them down for this because obviously it's just supposed to be a sample, but they did have a chance to really shine here and they just didn't take it. The paint itself was just fine. It didn't go on any better or worse than the budget contractor-grade paint I've been using. All in all this place was just fine, but I just don't see a reason to come here over a big hardware store that is open later, has better customer service, offers more products, and offers the same prices.

Purchased a dish washer from them 4 years ago and purchased their "expert" installation. Pulled out the dish washer and confirmed it was leaking, however I discovered something else concerning. The back of the dish washer had melted to a wire to one of the outlets connected to the island creating a fire hazard. Contacted customer support about this negligent install and the potential fire they could have created. No luck the washer is out of warranty, which I understand about the dish washer my gripe was with the install itself and they could have burnt my house down. They still didn't want to take any responsibility so I contacted BBB about this, meanwhile their Executive of Customer Relations contacted me and wanted me to wait a week for her to look into this and get back to me... She calls me today to inform me that they could do nothing because of an earthquake that could of shifted the washer... what a joke.

Twice now I have had two separate employees lie to me about getting Store credit. I spend thousands…read moreof dollars there tens of thousands of dollars on a new kitchen custom design lighting this year alone probably over $20,000 however, twice I've gone in there to return some of the items and extras and wrong sized items two of the times I did not have the receipt and they said they couldn't find it on our pro rewards even though we used the pro rewards. I don't know if they're looking in the wrong place or why that's happening and they say that they cannot give Store credit they don't do that anymore, which is a full-blown lie. I also noticed they're a little on the lazy side. They don't like to help you when you're in an aisle lifting something heavy they pretend they don't see you and go by quickly and then when you're all done and you don't need help, they ask you if you need help. I think the people that are not giving Store credit are people that are simply too lazy to do the extra typing it takes and I foresee, This particular lowes, a little more "lazy" so when I'm in the area and doing my shopping, Homedepot is where we always migrate too. They will stop to help you immediately not when you're done and they will give you Store credit without blinking with a smile. they recognize you as a valued customer unlike lowes you're not a valued customer you're a troublemaker that's how I feel shopping at Lowe's in Hanford.
