This beautiful young woman is the definition of personable and helpful. I walked in and she immediately made eye contact with me and asked me if she could help me find anything. I told her I was looking for smoke detectors and she walked me right to them. They were in a locked case so I needed her so I could grab one and she knew that. I picked a smoke/monoxide combo detector that she pointed out was on sale. Not only was she personable, she also helped me save ten dollars. It's employees like her that keeps me coming back to this hardware store. Thank you Emily. Keep being you.....

There also needs to be a clerk at the back key counter AT ALL TIMES..!! The restrooms are locked and unavailable, probably because of theft reasons, but still you could say that you need a key to get into them.. not shut them down completely. There is also a post office, which is super convenient. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and best of all, THE CANDY. This store has one of the greatest selections of candies in the area. I've never seen the brand "Wiley Wallaby" licorice before, and now I come here just to try all the different amazing flavors. I highly recommend the licorice allsorts. I have to stop myself from eating them all! Also, the garden section is excellent, and I'm very excited to plant my seeds this week. Great store.

They also under staff this location consistently. Almost every time I've gone in there hasn't been enough employees to help the customers that are in the store which means long wait times. This will be my last time going to the Edgewater Ace Hardware. It's very disappointing because this is my closest Ace to my house and for the last three decades of my life, Ace has been my go to and has been extremely helpful. But each Ace Hardware is individually owned so I will be going to a different Ace from now on. Do not waste your time. Just go to a different location.

I headed straight for the tool section, where Jude helped me track down the exact drill bits I needed. Both Jude and Nathan were excellent--helpful, patient, and friendly. The product selection is solid, but what really stood out is the level of customer service. It's rare these days to find retail staff who go above and beyond, and these two certainly did (even humoring me as I reminisced about my own time working in retail). As a funny side note, I even got the chance to chase after a customer and his dog after he accidentally left a dog bone behind at the counter. Unfortunately, I wasn't fast enough to return it--maybe he'll return for his purchase! All in all, great selection, great service, and a team that makes shopping here a genuinely positive experience.
