The inventory has been off the last 5 trips I made there for different products. When I mentioned this the jumpy little associate who offered to help me he threw a Fit!! He was screaming what a f###$%g idiot he is and ran into the warehouse screaming like a child. This was beyond ridiculous and childish. The online inventory and actual inventory are never right!! And the jumpy little tantrum throwing jerk might be why . They have to know how he acts and let him interact with people anyway. 2 thumbs down is my review. This is another Ace Hardware still keeping it old school! Not only that, they were open later on a Saturday when I needed a harder to find plumbing part for my client, which this Ace carried. This Ace still has old men, who are knowledgeable helping customers. This Ace isn't turning into some kind of 7-11 like a lot of Aces are turning into by selling all kinds of candy, lip balms, foods, knickknacks that is not hardware. read more

They've expanded from the first set up so there a bunch more stuff which is good. They haven't gone full Martha Stewart with the lawn and interior decor stuff. They still have some of the random "old guy hardware store" stuff that makes these places the go to for odd hardware and a little bit of coolness on top despite being a chain store. These people know how to deliver customer service. I bought a grill from them. I thought it had a problem. They came to my house to help me fix it. Turned out it was the propane tank I had exchanged. The store owner himself brought me a new tank. When you go into the store the employees actually offer to help. While that may should like what one might expect it often does not happen at the big box stores. I may pay a few cents more for a part, but when I leave I have the exact part I need andI have not had to wander around a big store looking for what I thought I needed. If they don't have the part you need they often will help you create a workaround. The employees at this store seem to care and want to support the customer and the store reputation. read more

Replacement key fob car key I stopped into the store as my car key was falling apart. Oden found a great solution to replace the shell of the key and just transfer over the electronics from the original key. It worked like a charm and was a fraction of the price of a new key from the dealer. read more

I have been going to this Ace Hardware for over 15 years, and the staff is super helpful!! It is the place for the "Helpful Hardware Folks!" And, when you compare prices to Lowes or Home Depot, it is competitive but with service that is sooooo much better!! The staff is knowledgeable; they listen to your needs and then help you find a solution! I have been in for everything from painting, plumbing to electrical, garden, you name it, special hardware needs when parts & pieces are missing, as well as LHS After Prom supplies and this store never fails me. They are generous with their time and have even offered to drop off larger orders. It pays to go to where it is a reciprocal relationship for sure. Had a great time in the paint department today! The super friendly (and very good looking) man in the paint department mixed a quart of orange for me and then did not charge me for it! I was only trying to save some money by getting some mis-tinted paint that would otherwise be recycled or just thrown out but I never expected it for free! i go to ace due to the fact that they are locally owned and operated, but the service there is so misreable that after three incidents - i gave up. one jackass kept telling me that my diverter wasn't a diverter and he could get me a valve..........after telling him multiple times, i gave up on his mild retardation and grabbed the part my self. They sold me shitty old paint, then after i bought all there old clumpy paint, they gave me the wrong one. I complained to ace corporate and didn't even get a response. i would not advise going there unless you have to. I cant believe anyone had luck there unless your buying a hose or something they cant screw up. read more

In trying to do the right thing regarding recycling mercury thermostats, I found, via www.thermostat-recycle.org, that Lake Ridge Ace HW accepts them. I called twice to confirm that they do indeed accept them and the gentlemen who answered the phone said "yes" and "free" both times. The 2nd time I let them know I would be bringing quite a few of these from our condo building in Steamboat Springs for our HOA. So, tonight I brought them in and the gentleman at the front desk seemed glad to accept them...but I wanted some sort of paperwork I could provide to my HOA that I disposed of them properly. He called a manager to the front and that guy told me "oh, no, we don't take these, you will have to find a hazardous waste place to take them to." Then, he told me to look up hazardous waste disposal via my phone to find a place - I told him that's how I found your place!! So after being told 2 times on the phone that they would take them, I got screwed over when I showed up with them! I've been a long time Ace HW customer (not at this store, but in Steamboat and in Littleton), but this was just horrible customer service. read more

Great neighborhood hardware store. It's a little small, so selection of larger items is limited. However, whenever my husband or I visit, we get great customer service within a minute of entering the store. The associates work one-on-one with you to get you what you need. We never have to go to the larger hardware stores unless we are getting something specific (like renting a truck or a stand for our grill they didn't carry). Overall, a great experience whenever we are there (the free popcorn definitely helps!) read more

I went here for the first time last night. The staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. While waiting to get checked out, someone actually noticed the short line of people (3-4) waiting and opened up a register to get us through there faster. I will definitely come back if they carry an item I need. The only thing I'd change is to have the person on the phone say "goodbye" or something of that nature to end the call, instead of abruptly hanging up. read more

This is my go-to hardware store. It's bigger than most Ace locations, and I don't mind driving across town to gain much-needed knowledge from their great staff! I have a 100-year-old home and often need advice on how to tackle repairs. I usually get all my questions answered -- and if they don't know, they steer me in the right direction. It's all about the details here: which caulk or adhesive might be better for my situation; how can I best repair my concrete sink or some old plumbing. "You'll need a lead anchor to attach that to brick -- as lead won't break it," they recently told me. And one of their great staffers introduced me to Rescue Tape -- my new favorite product! As a woman, I appreciate that they don't talk down to me and treat me like I was born yesterday or the day before. (They seem to appreciate my willingness to dive in and give it a go.) This is a level of customer service I've never experienced at the big-box stores. It's Mayberry here! I receive coupons in the mail, and Ace often has weekly sales fliers, so I don't feel I'm paying that much more than the competition. What I get in advice is worth any difference. Easy parking and lots of available staff. The manager is top-notch, having his customers' backs and standing behind his staff, too. Everyone is helpful, and they'll take time to give advice, rather than just try to sell you on products. The only complaint would be a slightly limited selection, but they just expanded, so we're pretty excited. read more

Disappointed with this store today. I hadn't been in the 6 months since my husband's passing. They were busy, and my salesman was impatient and not very helpful. Front checker, younger blond woman was just unpleasant, I told her about my husband and she said nothing at all. Sad, we used to go to this store at least once a week. I am always amazed at the customer service at Lake Ridge Ace! Today, I went in and hadn't seen Mike, the owner, in a while. I was looking for a new lawn mower after many frustrating hours and days trying to fix my old Scott's lawn mower. He spent a good 45 minutes with me going over the options at one of the busiest times of day in his store. He gave me a great deal on a Toro mower. Then, when I returned home, and tried my old mower just for kicks, it started. I returned the mower back to Ace, and there was no judgment on his part. He and the rest of the crew were completely understanding! I got home, and my old mower wouldn't start again. I realize that I can fix the carburetor, but I changed my mind once again and he gave me the same deal as I returned to buy the mower again! Talk about EXCELLENT customer service! I also love supporting the smaller franchises, as I don't think of ACE as a big box store like Lowe's or HD. Anyway, Mike and his staff are simply amazing at what they do!
