In fact, I was told by several people including electricians that I would need to spend thousands of dollars to upgrade my box because it was from the early 80's. I am in no position to spend that kind of money. My inspector simply require I have a deadplate covering my breakers. So I got busy calling around to several metal and steel business to request a plate be made. Due to COVID 19 many places didn't have the bandwidth to get this done in a 24/48hr turnaround time or they didn't/won't due this type of work. I was desperate because my deadline was fast approaching. To my surprise, I was guided to contact Santa Rita Steel. I spoke with Poncho and well, the rest is history. Not only were they able to get my plate drafted and made within 48hours, they did with a superb price point. I will definitely recommend calling them to handle your needs, big or small.
