The service at Yuma is horrible today I had a grinder with a warranty and the clerk was totally disrespectful about my return to the point I got angry and walked out I decided to return and a encountered another rude employee which is the manager I had encountered the manager being rude before and plan to contact BBB and make a complaint to get my refunded grinder and have my entitled use of the store without gang member mentality. This was a mentality that should not be allowed at a shopping establishment and the manger is practicing antagonizing service techniques on customers. Last time I encountered this manager he expected me to wait in line again for something id already had solved so I walked out then also. Also the store clerk Chris was a rude condescending person who needs counseling on how to treat customers. Too bad one can't give no stars. Went to Harbor Freight in Yuma to buy a single short extension for a ratchet wrench. Was told I'd have to buy the entire set of extensions. I complained that that method of selling was too capitalistic. The sales person replied that that was just how things work at Harbor Freight. I told him that I objected to such practices. He rudely commented that I should take my business elsewhere. I did, by drove to O'Reilly's auto parts where they had the short extension in stock and sold it to me. Shopping was made very easy by the general manager of the store. Very kind and helpful. But the employee that stood out was a young lady who worked for Harbor freight for quite some time. her name is Summer and she was dealing with a very rude crew and socially unattractive, hedonistic magnum man trying to do a return without a receipt and I have never in my day seen somebody so well with an irate customer. You should be running the store or in corporate, teaching people sales techniques and how to deal with people that are irate and in different situations. read more

CHEAP. Low cost , shoddy workmanship. Yup, that's the parts washer I bought. I ordered one through Horrible Freight online. Following instructions, it took an hour to assemble. Filled it with water for the test run in my shed, which I made into a little shop. Turned it on. All that happened was the sound of the pump rattling. Sounds like bearings to me. So, I called the HF help line. I was told to watch the video, and he sent me the link on YouTube. I watched the video. Yup, bad pump. I called back to have them send me a replacement pump. They have no replacement pump. Now, I gotta drain it, disassemble it, pack it back up and return it. Do they care? NO. Why? It's CHEAP. Apparently so is my value with them. read more

I purchased a $90 underhood light that had a photo on the box of 2 lights. I get it home and there is only 1. I returned it and was told that it says clearly on the box in several places that there is only one but I could purchase the second one shown in the photos for another $50. It turns out that on the back of the box in small print there is one disclaimer. I live 35 miles away so that's a 70 mile round trip. The manager was rude and basically "take it or leave" it. I research an HVLP sprayer manual and found a sprayer that showed a 2mm nozzle available to spray latex paint. I purchased it and it turns out Harbor Freight doesn't sell a 2mm nozzle and couldn't suggest a place where I could purchase one requiring another 70 mile trip to return it. I purchased a water transfer pump that didn't work right out of the box. I called the technical support number listed in the manual and was told buy the support person after some troubleshooting (in between telling his son to brush his teeth) that I should return it. Another 70 miles and was told that I had to submit the request to a website because it could have been exposed to toxic chemicals. This despite the fact that it obviously had never had a drop of anything run through it. It literally hadn't pumped one drop of water and that was obvious by looking at it. I submitted the information to the website and was informed that the request would be reviewed "in a few days." Worst customer service ever. I have spent $1,500 at Harbor Freight in the last 30 days and way more over the years but I'm done. Great deals on cheap Chinese tools, but the staff wasn't very friendly when I went here, nor were they helpful. I would prefer not to shop here but I will probably go back here again if I am in need of what they sell. read more

Granted, I KNOW this place sells cheap stuff and much from China, but I have had the WORST service and experience in a long time. I went to check out a piece of equipment that was on sale (I had researched some similar) and asked the salesman about it, He assured me of the quality as well as the attachments they also sold me. Well, after getting it home and trying to use it, I found not only did I NOT have what I needed, when I called them, they did not even carry the attachments nor were they readily available. I had to spend 2 days going all over town to finally put together the things I needed to use the item. No help from Harbor Freight. Would have returned it if there weren't a re-stocking fee. The manager was a real jerk about everything too. Boo to them. Never again. read more

I went in looking to buy a car canopy. I brought the sale paper with me and started to look for the item. I didn't see anyone that worked in the store that could assist me so I went to the checkout stand and stood in line. I waited about 10 minutes before it was my turn. I went up to the counter and simply asked if I could look at the product and pointed to the picture. I told her that I couldn't find it on the shelves anywhere and that I didn't see anyone to ask to help me. She stated that they kept those in the back. I asked her if she could tell me what the product was made out of or if I could see one. She first walked over and asked the other cashier if she knew. After they decided they didn't know, she got on a walkie-talkie and asked her manager what the poles were made out of. (I wanted to know because everyone in Yuma knows, if it's not galvanize steel, that you'll be replacing it in a year.) The manager came back over the walkie-talkie and read a description of the box. I could barely understand her but what I could understand she was talking about the tarp and that's not the item that I asked about. I realize that the tarp will have to be replaced eventually. I simply asked if I could go to the back and look at the box so that I can read it for myself and the manager very rudely came back over the walkie-talkie and was stating that she was not going to open the box! I never asked for anybody to open the box I simply wanted to read the box. Due to the rudeness of the situation I simply told her that I didn't need any of their services and walked out the door. I'll never go back in if I simply can't grab what I need, pay, and leave. And it would have to be the only store carrying the item I'm purchasing. I'll pay more to go somewhere else! read more
