Tractor Supply price match policy - screenshot of web page
    T. S.

I'm back again, a couple years later. I do admit I came here from time to time even though I'd vowed not to; since they have the cat litter I use at the lowest price in town or online. I'm officially done this time, though. I'll pay more and drive further to not have to deal with this company again, they don't deserve my money. But today I wanted a tool and I wanted it now! (first world problems but they are my problems nonetheless) I saw that this Tractor Supply location had one in stock so I wouldn't have to wait until next week to start my project if I ordered it on Amazon. However, the price was $15 more than Amazon. I was responsible and researched their own website for their price match policy. It states (and I'll include a screenshot too): --------------- "Tractor Supply will match any competitor's online or in-store price on any identical item, except the following: Products shipped from or sold by third-party or Marketplace sellers on websites (Examples: eBay, Amazon Marketplace)" ...and it says some other stuff that doesn't apply. --------------- Now there is a difference between "shipped and sold by Amazon" and "Amazon Marketplace" which was the one referenced as not being eligible. I made sure the tool I wanted that was listed on Amazon was not sold by a third party. I happily bounce into this store and snag the last one on the shelf--score! At the register I talk to one "manager" who was called over to complete the price match. He stated that they don't price match Amazon. I asked why, and showed him the policy written on the store's website. He said since it was "sold online". The policy explicitly states that they price match online prices. He calls over another manager who appeared to be the manager-iest of the managers. She'd been called on the walkie and already knew why she was coming over and had that pep in her step that says "I'm about to shut this pesky customer DOWN!" She stated that they don't price match Amazon because Amazon doesn't have a physical store. I mean, if that was the policy then FINE - but nowhere in their price match policy does it state that this is a stipulation. So they're essentially making up their own rules in this store that differ from the Tractor Supply policy (if so, why?) or the Tractor Supply website is trash and no one bothers to update it with accurate info. Either way, they've lost a customer (for real this time). I spend a several hundred dollars a year here on cat litter and tools since it's convenient - and I was about to give them a couple thousand extra by buying a trailer here in the next couple months. Nope; Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowes can have my business now. I'm done dealing with companies that would rather lose a customer for life over $15 than actually follow their own store policy. Goodbye Tractor Supply. --------------- Note that I ordered the tool from Amazon--from the same page I had pulled up inside to price match with--before I even left the parking lot. It'll be at my doorstep in less than 48 hours. There's a reason brick and mortar stores are dying, and it's because people don't have the time or energy to deal with this crap. It took me two taps to order it and have it appear at my home, zero haggling, and even with tax it was almost $10 less than the one inside. --------------- https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/cms/price-match?ddkey=https%3Atsc%2Fsearch%2Fprice+match

They close way too early. Went to buy some dog food and they hurried up and shut the door. I guess Walmart it is.

My husband and I stopped in to see if they carried the New Balance tennis shoes he likes, and although they didn't have the specific one he was looking for they did still have quite a few! Plenty of other brands too. I noticed a lot of flip flops and sandals, so if you're in the market for a nice pair of those, check this store out. My husband and I both felt that the shoes we looked at were a bit on the pricey side, but we also would rather support a small local business than drive into town and search through a busy department store with questionable customer service if this local place already has what we want. We didn't spend a lot of time here (we have a toddler that tries to run all over the place) but we had two different employees check on us while we were shopping around and they were very attentive. I plan on going back when the weather is warmer for a new pair of leather sandals! I'm glad this place is so conveniently located. I also have to add that I reached out to the store's manager (or employee that monitors their social media at least) via their Facebook page once to ask if they carried a certain shoe and got a response almost immediately. I was so impressed with that!

Good selection but prices very high. Didn't carry the sneakers I like called Ons…read more Hope they carry Ons in the future
