Amanda was so incredibly sweet every time we talked to her. They have light but sturdy picnic tables at each lot that you can easily move around as needed and the same with the fire/grill rings. We cooked steaks on the grill ring and they turned out great. We loved meeting people inside the dog-park as well. Lots of really cool dogs get in there and run and play. We'll definitely be back.

It seems that the owners of this place has done what North Carolina has become so famous for. It's called the nickel and dime shuffle. Plan on being charged a service fee when you get here. 10.00 processing fee for most transactions you make. You would think that with all the extra fees they charge your site wouldn't flood, one heavy rain and you'er are in a Sneads Ferry lake. On to the three stars. The site isn't secured. people drive through the camp ground all night long. the Boat ramp is suppose to be private but it's not. Charter boat captains use and abuse the boat ramp at an astonishing rate. On Holidays locals use the( AKA Private) boat ramp which means they come through the camp ground. The Air B&B is another practice some were uncomfortable with. Temporary people passing in an out of the area on a nightly bases is unsettling. I under stand this is a camp ground a transient place, but its not secure and anyone can come in an out of the area at any time of the night.

First time camping here and needless to say, we'll be back!…read more We tent camped in Purple 2A from Saturday - Tuesday and had a great experience. We met tons of friends, enjoyed the 4th of July events, and loved the beautiful area. For future campers, Purple sites were great - right across from the bath house and each had a picnic table. Only downside was that they didn't have a fire ring, but it was too hot for a fire anyway! The Bath camping spots across from us did have fire rings. Everyone we met from employees to other guests were fabulous and made our experience amazing. Can't say enough good things.

My husband had to work out of town so we figured why not get some use out of the camper instead of staying in a hotel. I came down for the weekend to help him set up. The check in process was easy and the office staff is friendly. There are full time residents here. Everyone we met was friendly. We had a few issues we had to fix on our golf cart and my husband didn't have certain tools he needed. One of the maintenance employees lent my husband the tool he needed and was helpful. Our site didn't have a fire pit ring. My husband asked about getting one and soon after we got one. The Inlet at Lanier has playgrounds, a pool, laundry facility, and a dog park. There are different level of sites. We stayed on a basic site (R37) with full hook up. The basic sites are close together but not as bad as previous reviews made it seem. If this was a vacation for us we would have booked one of the other sites closer to the water and dock because of personal preference. Just call and let the office know what you're looking for and I'm sure they will help you out. We will definitely be coming back here! If you don't like something about an establishment, express your concerns and give the business a chance to fix it! Don't just complain and give a bad review!

This place has an overwhelming amount of stagnant water "ponds" on top of being right next to a sewage plant. I would highly suggest that management into being fogged every couple of weeks to try and elevate this issue. Site are gravel and sand/mud. Our 5th wheel sank and we had to reposition in fear of not being able to pull out of it. The sewage plant was smelled on a regular basis, but honestly just smelled like the sound side waters at low tide. Next to the mosquito problem, it was bearable. The cleanliness of this campground really needs to be reevaluated. The bathrooms at the office were not kept up. They should be cleaned more than every morning. The floors were dirty inside and out of the showers and the walls were covered in dead bugs. The shower curtains were mostly ripped off and had to be fixed to use. I was once in the bathroom with two other families and all of the mom's agreed there was only one acceptable shower. The pool area was nice, but again cleanliness was lacking. Myself and several other guest had to skim the pool multiple times. The entire top of the water was covered in bugs. It was grossing out the young children and that is saying a lot when it comes to swimming. I agree with the other review mentioning the sites with junk piled up. It was very odd to see, almost like a hoarder property.
