    Beautiful holiday display

Harbor Sweets has opened a store in Boston at the Copley Plaza. Its amazing! The chocolate is fabulous. The staff is friendly and helpful. The chocolates are not just good to taste, but have cute holiday designs and thoughtful packaging. When you buy something from here, it feels like you are really sharing a piece of New England with your family and friends. Maureen was excited to not only explain the flavors but the story of the company. This is a Massachusetts business and the chocolate is made locally.

We were in the Salem area and was told about this place from a friend. So glad we stopped in as this was off the main road. You can see a working chocolate factory in progress. The candy was so fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly. I'll definitely be back

I discovered the wonder of Harbor Sweets' Sweet Sloops back when I was in Maine. I don't use the word wonder lightly because these Sloops are made of toffee, white chocolate, and nuts...none of which I ever like in my chocolate. My impression of chocolate, toffee, and nuts have been from Almond Roca, which feel hard enough to break teeth. However, these bite-sized, individually-wrapped Sloops are my weakness so I was excited to visit their factory store, which is right by the water in Salem. They have a little parking lot for convenient free parking! The two ladies working there were so nice and I even got to try a couple of samples. Their chocolates are a little expensive but are perfect for gifts-- they're handmade, local, and all delicious! They also have some chocolates in a display case you can purchase individually for $1.95, which is a great way to try everything. We bought a box of 36 sloops ($28.50 after a flash 20% sale) and have gone through a third of of it in an evening. I already know what I'm going to buy next time I visit. (The Gather line of chocolates has a fantastic coconut cluster. I might also be eyeing their line of hot chocolate...)

    Chocolatey deliciousness!

I grew up in nearby Marblehead and until recently, was not aware of this place (granted, I've lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 20 years). On a recent trip home, I was looking for something unique to bring back for my coworkers and opted for the Sweet Sloops (of course!) and the Marblehead Mints (gotta show some hometown pride!). Wow, both of these candies were so yummy! I definitely gained points with my coworkers. Got tons of compliments on the Sweet Sloops in particular-almost wished I bought a bigger box! When we stopped in to get the candy, we saw workers making and packaging candy and were even treated to some yummy samples. If you're in the Salem area, you need to drop by and get some of this candy.

Delicious chocolates- a bonus that almost all are gluten free. Helpful staff and sometimes you can see the chocolates being made.

Great chocolates. They make a great holiday gift. I love that they are local! Too bad their website is so bad to place orders!

The sipping chocolate was very fun and I liked that it was all almond milk based. They had many different flavors but we ended up with one classic with whipped cream and one Marie Antoinette which was very floral and yummy! You could sample any before you commit which I really appreciated. We got 3oz cups which definitely felt like enough because the drinking chocolate is so rich. We also got a small box of chocolate which fit 4 truffles. We got a goat cheese, top hat, horchata, and Earl Grey. All good & clearly high quality. The two young ladies working were very friendly and helpful. The decor was cute and there was seating available inside, but Essex Street is very interesting so we opted to take our drinks to go and walk outside. I would love to come back when it's warmer and try the brownie sundae!

We ordered delicious hot chocolate that tasted like a candy bar made into a drink. I tried the Mexican hot chocolate and it had hints of spice. What goes great with hot chocolate? More chocolate. Tried an array of truffles and all were hand crafted creative concoctions. The space is pretty tight, but they worked to get people through the line quickly. I was reading about the store and they actually started in New Mexico. If on Essex street this is a great stop for a break from the commotion.
