Store was closed here. Glad I quickly grabbed ice cream right before they closed.

I enjoyed their ice cream. The young girl was extremely nice. The store is fun to walk around. Pretty items. Calm place. The guy was extremely nice also, great customer service. I went right before they closed.

Whimsy's Ice Cream Shop - 26 Front St, Salem, MA 01970 On a cold Hallows Eve (41 degrees!), we decided to grab ice cream while waiting for our 8pm tour. BEST. DECISION. EVER. This has to be one of the best ice creams we've tasted in the entire Massachusetts area--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. And the portions? Huge and super well-priced. We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, and Whimsy's made it extra special. Salem during Halloween is absolute chaos, but this little shop was a sweet escape. The vibe is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the ice cream is pure magic. Whether you're braving the haunted streets or just craving something cold and delicious, Whimsy's is the place to be. Hands down, the best ice cream parlor in town. Pop Highlights: * Eating ice cream in 41° weather = legendary move * Generous scoops, fair prices, and unforgettable flavors * Perfect spot for a birthday treat (wife approved!) * Salem may be wild, but Whimsy's is worth the stop Final Verdict: Go visit. Celebrate. Indulge. You'll leave with a smile, a sugar rush, and the feeling that you just found Salem's sweetest hidden gem.

What a great find in downtown Salem. Homemade ice cream that's so delicious. I chose raspberry with chocolate. Great seating outside to enjoy the beautiful September day.

My wife and I stopped by this charmingly quaint novelty & ice cream shop! The ice cream they served was refreshing and very delectable! Absolutely loved the ambiance, and their service was very good! We always appreciate a good smile and hello from the workers!

I loved that they had gift candy boxes. Small parking, I had to park across the street. But if you're not from here, the streets are so small it takes like 5 steps. Easy to find & easy to park.

They are famous for their Gibralters and their Blackjacks - I of course, took home both. The Gibralters come in lemon and peppermint flavor - they are big pieces of candy that are made to be broken and shared. I also took home two of the blue raspberry flavored fruit jellies which didn't make it very far - I'm a sucker for anything blue raspberry flavored. The inside of Ye Olde Pepper Companie is very small, the line took up the entire store and people actually had to wait outside until people left before they could come in. The line moved quickly though and they were very organized when helping customers. There are no tables to sit at, just tables, cases and shelves of candy! They offered chocolates, fudge, Saltwater Taffy, caramel corn and even brittles. Is it the best candy in the world? No, but I love knowing that I got to visit and purchase candy from the oldest one in America. Staff were very friendly and they gave me a See's Candy vibe minus the cute little outfits. I will definitely visit again if I get the chance! Check out a part of history!
