Great little motel across the lake. Clean, modern, and a great price! Also customer service at its best!

Looking to book a stay for a weekend getaway or business trip? Look further because this is one of…read morethe worst places we've ever stayed. We had our wedding here and they were extremely rude and hateful towards us and our wedding guest. They were also giving out our room number to be jerks without verifying they were with the wedding party. We paid $400 to use their arch that they did not decorate. I had to get help with it. The event coordinator Christina, walked past us and didn't acknowledge us after we checked in. It was very rude. As a coordinator, you should check in with your guest once they are settled. I had to go track her down because we needed to go over a few details for the beach wedding. She claimed she wasn't ignoring us but that's a bold face lie. She still did not speak or acknowledge my now husband the entire weekend. She said nothing else to me after I tracked her down the day we arrived. She said she doesn't like bothering guest but that's BS. She was all over taking care of other guest even when she wasn't needed. She kept no communication with us. She also sent someone to tell us my service dog wasn't allowed there when they knew. I had to show the service dog license. We went to the onsite bar after the wedding and the only word she said to my fiancé was "what do you want to drink?" No congratulations, no is there anything else I can do for you. Nothing! We met some awesome ladies there the day we arrived and the following day, they asked the front desk if they could leave a package for us and asked if they knew where we were. They were instantly rude to them as well. Apparently they have issues with LGBTQ people because we witnessed a completely different attitude when they handled other guest. It was extremely upsetting and they made our Wedding Eve terrible! It was so bad it caused a lot of emotions because the treatment was so bad. No one felt welcomed. The bartenders were the only nice people at the resort. Very nice bartenders. PS. They're nice until the day of knowing you get no refund when it's the day of the event.

Close to downtown but far enough away that it is quiet. Just far enough from M-23 to feel quiet and out of the way, yet right next to m-23

The so called hotel $20 credit that you can spend in the outside lakeside deck is a waste of time. While sitting in the area with my daughter the bartender who was the only server out there at the time said sorry you can't get a Arnold palmer I don't have iced tea out here. Mind you inside was 10 steps away and two waitresses since came out to work the area where there were only 2 other guests. Meanwhile a maintenance employee came out to hang a bar sign and used swearing language . We left and went to the inside restaurant where there was no to seat us and again 2 people eating . We went downtown to eat as the inside was not clean. The room we were told at reservation would have a couch for seating it did not it had a chair and table. No Kleenex When I called the front desk at 11pm to ask if they had vending machines or bottled water at the desk I was told I'd have to go the the gas station!! Construction began outside the room at 6:30 am. I asked at checkout to speak with the manager. I was told he was on his way in and would call me. I recalled back one week later and still no return call . He never did call me! Overpriced and sub par very poor attention to any details. Next time I'd rent a waterfront cabin.

We arrived later Saturday night for memorial weekend and the lady said I didn't tell her about my arrive dog and I did when I booked. The lady at the desk also acted like she wasn't aware of the smell because I said complaints on smell after we stayed there. I should have checked the reviews but we also thought they were putting us in the Bay Inn which is much nicer. We were hit with that surprise when we arrived. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bed was annoying creaking with every move. I shouldn't around slow as possible so I didn't wake my fiancé because it was loud. The entry door was hard to open. We really had to put our back into it so we could open the door. I watched several crime shows and on YouTube I watched about true horror stories that were animated with a narrator. Watch the ones about the motel. It would describe this place. I was paranoid and checked for cameras so that's another reason I didn't sleep. lol. When we got up in the morning to switch rooms, all the other cars were gone and our car along with two other cars were left in the lot. Fast forward, it was Sunday and the manager switched us to the Bay Inn. It was much nicer and the beds and everything was much better. Crow's Nest Inn is not recommended. Especially is you're traveling solo. I also saw what looked like blood stains on the door. After staying there I did see a review about someone finding a bloody hand print on their pillow case. Just stay at Bay Inn. It's worth it 100%.

They are affiliated with the Bay Inn next door where you will check in. The staff was very nice and accommodating which is always a huge plus in my book. You get free breakfast at the Bay Inn along with access to the pool and hot tub, which made it worthwhile! Now, the rooms aren't super shabby. They're dated and could definitely use some upgrading and paint. You're going to find bugs... it's inevitable being that every time you open the door, they're gonna fly in. They could definitely use some weather stripping under the door to help also. The beds weren't luxurious, but pretty comfortable. They could definitely use an upgrade. This place isn't on the water but right across the street with a little lake view depending on what room you're in. It also has a pavilion, horseshoe, fire pit with wood, a play ground and grills on the property which was nice. It's really the perfect location for the best price if you're looking for an affordable place to stay on a whim. Everything was so close that we rode our bikes right into town instead of driving.
