There is a lovely garden, indoor plant and puzzle area, solarium where you can read and socialize, a large fellowship hall, chapel area, and dining hall, puzzle and game room upstairs where some folks play bridge and games, and a gazebo outdoors to walk out to during good weather. The staff are so caring and friendly. There is a rotating selection of resident made artwork out in the halls where my grandfather had some of his framed photographs during his stay. Fiber arts and quilts are also hung there. It's great to see the artistry of the people there! I'd love to stay in the solarium and library and plant area myself! Definitely a great home for folks to retire to.

Throughout the process the manager Karen, was always informative, responsive, and patient with our questions and helping us through the rental application process. She even took photos and measurements for us that we could be better prepared moving from out-of-town. During the move-in process, everyone we encountered from other apartment dwellers to maintenance personal to cleaning staff were kind and welcoming. From my vantage point, this is a place where kindness and helpfulness are found at every turn and where good people are working hard to support the tenants of The Meadows Apartments in living a full and independent life.

Prior to living at Carrington, they lived for a year in one of Green Bay's giant assisted- living/rehab/ nursing home campuses, and the difference is remarkable. Carrington has a maximum of 22 residents, so the staff gets to know the residents as individuals and knows each persons needs, likes and dislikes. The residents and staff develop a relationship with each other that is similar to a family. Carrington is more like a home than an institution. Another positive for this small place vs the large home of hundreds, is that germs don't spread like wildfire. In the large institution, my parents were frequently quarantined in their rooms because of flu or some other stomach virus going around. At Carrington, this has never happened. My parents and all of the residents have been free of flu and covid throughout their stay at Carrington. The place is very clean, the food is great, and can be customized if the resident doesn't like what is being served. When my parents push their buzzer, people come to their assistance in a timely manner. When we feel something goes wrong, the administration and caregivers have answered our concerns in a timely manner. I have learned that the fancy furniture and fireplaces and country club atmosphere you see at the large campuses are mostly for show and to persuade you to sign on the line. But what really matters is the caring staff who are with your loved one 24/7. You can't see that on your one hour tour of the place, but should be the main reason why you should be choosing a home for loved ones. The behind the scenes caregivers at Carrington are top notch and provide not just care but love and attention too. If I were to do it all over again, I would choose Carrington, and so would my mom and dad. They love it there.

The staff is very caring and sympathetic with both the resident and their family member(s). They keep in touch and family members are able to step along side the staff and assist their family member to make them feel they are at "home". The staff is very caring, patient, understanding and loving which makes the transition from home care to assisted living easier to deal with.
