*THE COMPANY ASKS ITS EMPLOYEES TO MAKE FAKE YELP REVIEWS BEWARE*…read more The absolute worst place to bring your family. Would not recommend. (former memory care employee, also have worked a few assisted living homes) Caregivers : LAZY , do not assist residents for 30+ minutes at times, they sleep on the job, smoke weed at work, abuse and neglect the residents. They don't pay attention to who needs to use walkers / wheelchairs and just leave the residents alone for most of the day. They don't do any hygiene for the resident ( brushing teeth , deodorant, showers ) and leave their toilets nasty to just sit. Staff : Most if not all of the staff at aspire are just there for the paycheck, I couldn't name one person who genuinely enjoys / enjoyed working there. They don't care about LIVING HUMANS, your family member will just sit in their room to rot. Everyone is more worried about getting their paycheck then they are taking care of the people who pay 8k+ to live there. All in all, Aspire has been my worst job i've ever had. Unsanitary, Unsafe, and certainly unfriendly. They lie about referral bonus' for the employees, you can't request off, you're just straight up treated less than human. Do not bring your family here, don't pay the thousands upon thousands for them to sit in a room and rot, to not be taken care of, to be treated horribly. Please find somewhere else.

I could give them 0 stars if I could. Former employee of Memory Care. I have a whole book of a…read morereview but there's too many characters for me to post anywhere online. So please email me or message me for further detail before deciding to put your family member in this horrible facility. Also if you intend to work there just don't they will manipulate and try to trap you by charging you for their Orientation if you don't stay for a year. They will take about $100-$200 out of ur last paycheck. And if you don't return your key fob they will also charge you $50. Management= Horrible sit in their office and bark orders at caregivers that already have so much to do with over 100 residents. Communication= Horrible Facility= beautiful place but not enough to let your family member sit in their rooms all day or be pressured or forced into doing activities. Also not very clean community areas. Memory care= Your loved ones will not be supervised the way they are suppose to. Your family members items will be lost or stolen And they will talk to them like babies. Your memory care family member will not get better at this facility they will get worse. The residents are way too amazing to be treated they way they are at this facility.

From the moment he arrived, the Heartwood owners and staff welcomed him as part of their family. We observe that they treat every resident with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect, and it is obvious that they genuinely care about the people who live here. Knowing that he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for gives us tremendous peace of mind. Heartwood is always clean, attractive, and inviting. Residents have access to several comfortable TV lounges with cozy furniture where they can visit family, relax, socialize, enjoy their favorite programs or nap. The beautiful outdoor garden is another wonderful feature, providing a peaceful place to walk, enjoy nature, or simply sit and visit with friends and family. They also have an adjacent facility for more advanced memory care when our ward needs it. What impresses us most is the personal attention each resident receives. The staff is attentive, compassionate, and responsive, and they do an excellent job communicating with families. Over the past two years, we have consistently seen a level of care that goes above and beyond our expectations. We are extremely grateful for everything Heartwood has done for our ward and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, caring, family-oriented assisted living home for a loved one.

The staff made her daily life a pretty happy experience. She enjoyed the daily activities and we had the comfort of knowing she was safe and medically looked after. My uncle, also an Alzheimer's patient, was also there and while he was not at his beloved cottage, he was up north and enjoyed his last summer in Benzie County with the help from the Pines facility and staff. We are likely to use the Pines again as my wife's mother will soon need to have living assistance as well. Jim N

My review is a little different than most because my review is how both Steve & Pam went above and…read morebeyond to help my family make a great decision for my mother's care, one for which they did not get a new client, but showed how they are both cared immensely that my mother was going to be in the place that was most beneficial to her. They helped in ways that many others would never have done. Their care, compassion, and doing what is best for someone vs looking at it only from a potential client/business stand point was rare from what we experience in the world today and I cannot thank them enough for that. Pam & Steve are both genuine and real. My mother is nearing her end of life from her ALS disease. She wanted to go into assisted living because my father, whom also has health issues, was unable to be the care provider for my mother that he had been for the last two years she has been battling the disease. My mother called me and told me she had spoken with Steve and that she thought she would really like to go into the Frankfort Pines. This caught me and my brother off guard because we knew she is progressing in the disease, but my mother end of life choices were that she pass away in her own home. So I called to talk with Steve to see if their place was the right fit for my mother. We discussed my mother needs in her current status in the disease and then how that might be different in the following few to several months. Steve asked questions and gave answers that were thoughtful and informative to help him also understand my mother, and I to understand their facility. He explained how their place would be a great fit for my mother at this time in her current condition. We spoke about many things like my mother's care which could require additional staff as the disease progressed. He said that when my mother's disease progressed that they would bring in additional staff when a situation like my mother's, required additional help, and of course it would cost more to do so, but that should be and what I expected. That is also, but most importantly, when he said they could help in several ways and one I did not expect. He said that yes my mother would be a great fit for them at this time and for the next few months, but then he said if you want my honest opinion then I think your mom would be better off trying to get into a facility in Frankfort, (Name not mentioned) that would be able to provide her with the best care, especially when the disease started to progress. He said, yes, we would love to have her, and yes we can certainly help her for the next few months, however moving a second time in a short term can sometimes be more traumatic for the client. They did have a room available at their facility, so monetarily most other nursing homes/ assisted living providers would have pushed for us to get my mother in, and that is what I experienced in the following two days. I called other assisted living facilities in the area and instead of the care and thoughtfulness that I received in my discussions with Steve I got the sales pitch at an alarming rate even after explaining in detail the same things I spoke with Steve about. To them it was like "Hey, let's get your mother into our facility and then we can figure out the rest down the road". When we called the place that Steve thought they would be a great fit, they had no rooms available. I called Steve back and he said that he would love to have my mother until the other facility had an opening. He understood that, if they got an opening, even a couple weeks after my mother moved into his facility that she would be leaving to go to the other place. So my mom had a nice place to stay and we were scheduled to have her move into the Frankfort Pines in two days. Then by the grace of god the other facility called and said they had an opening. I knew Steve had been working on the arrangements for my mother and even moving some thing around to locate my mother closer to the commons area. When I called him to let him know the other facility received and opening he was absolutely gracious and even happy that my mother was going to be where she needed to be. I cannot express the gratitude I feel for all that Steve and Pam did for us. There is so much more than what I put in writing. What I do know is if my father ever needs assisted living there is no place that I would consider calling other than the Frankfort Pines. I wish the Frankfort Pines all the best because you are truly good human beings!!!!
