The restroom for dock tenants has been broken out of service for over 5 months and management /owner can't or wont get it fixed!! Lots of promises with no results. All us tenants keep compkaining yet nothing done!!! Way inconvenient and dangerous at night to have to walk far distance to use alternative restroom. I pay a lot of money and not getting what I pay for. I wouldn't rent here. I moved in and within 2.5 months of living there, I started to notice tiny little roach like bugs all over my kitchen counters... turns out there was a full blown roach infestation on my floor in my building. I was one of the many apartments that started experiencing roaches. The infestation turned into something so much worse. Something out of a nightmare. I would wake up in the middle of the night to pee and would turn the kitchen lights on to check on the situation and would see 20-25 roaches all over my kitchen, in the cabinets, my dogs water bowl, in the sink, the dishwasher. Management BARELY dealt with the matter by sending a BS pest control person who would only spray the baseboards, which did nothing. The sense of urgency was not there and wasn't handled correctly. By December I had finally had it and forced them to break my lease. The infestation was so bad that I had to throw away some of my furniture because they had gotten into it. The management refused to pay for my moving costs. I have lived in many places in LA. I was so excited to live in the Marina and live in what was supposed to be a luxury apartment, only to be met with roaches and a terrible management. Not once did the manager show his face. I only saw NOAH when I was signing my paperwork to cancel my lease. Go anywhere else but this place. read more

Harborside Marina Apartments is a Great Place to Call Home! The beautiful apartments, great location, and the marina views from my front (and bedroom) window are breathtakingly spectacular. Harborside is a fantastic super, friendly community; the office staff and maintenance crew are always friendly and ready to go above and beyond to help, even if it means ( Jen ) jumping in the garbage bins alongside to help go through the trash on a Saturday night to help me look for my lost keys, (oh yes, she did), Noah helping me get my couch bed ready for my mom's visit or carrying up a heavy package or Nicka getting my keys replaced immediately, ( smiling making me feel like she has nothing else in the world to do);-) I stop by the office daily to say a quick "hello," have a treat, and share a few laughs with the staff and the friendly Mr. Doug! That LP is a gem, and he is everywhere (I swear that man must have a twin), and David (the newest member), super friendly and helpful, fits right in! Let me start off by saying, I LOVE HARBORSIDE! The staff and community are absolutely amazing. The office and maintenance team are communicative, efficient, and genuinely good people, which is a breath of fresh air in Los Angeles. Every time I come to the office for a work order request or a question, the staff are happy to help and listen to my concerns. I have had to deal with terrible property staff before at my previous apartment complex, but I can definitely tell the Harborside team truly care and prioritize their residents. Also, you have to meet Phoenix- she is absolutely fabulous! The building is peaceful (I almost forget I even have neighbors) and I have a marina view to wake up to every morning. Breathtaking! I am a woman and feel safe to walk around the building without worrying about anyone messing with me. The residents I see are friendly and always smile when I walk by. The units come with washer and dryer and the community grounds are always up kept. And I can't forget the location is minutes from Venice and great LA dining! Harborside is truly such a wonderful place to live in. I am so happy with my decision on moving here and I am looking forward to renewing my lease when the time comes. Thanks Harborside! read more

Mean Bullys!! Boaters Stay away!! I bought a Yacht that has been docked at Harborside Marina for 6 years. After 3 weeks Doug the Dockmaster and Phoenix the Property Manager started threatening me saying they were going to have the Sheriff tow the Boat. I let them know I was having the Carbeurator rebuilt and would need a few more days. How did the Mean Bullys Respond- Doug tells me that if I go on my Boat again he will have me arrested for Trespassing. I also have texts as proof of this awful Behavior. This is a Beautiful Classic Yacht and Marinas in Marina Del Rey wont accept Wooden Boats. read more

I hate to give this place a low rating but the problems are really starting to stack up. The actual apartments are great and the location in the Marina is perfect. But over the last year and a half, a lot has gone downhill. There have been numerous instances of theft and vandalism to the apartments, cars, and bikes. All of the surrounding apartments have consistent security... this building does not. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. Many residents, myself included, have had numerous discussions with the apartment managers about adding security cameras, and security on site and no action is taken. These conversations have spanned over the last year. They've cut back on cleaning the carpets in the hallways and it often takes days for trash to be removed from the lobbies. The pool chairs are falling apart and there are no umbrellas...meaning no shade by the pool. Responses to that from management have ranged from "It's been too windy to put up the umbrellas" to "The umbrellas are still in storage." These conversations have also spanned over the last year. I hope these comments spark change. The apartments themselves are lovely but life at Harborside is on a downward path. read more

We didn't end up living here because we found a better fit for us, but we wanted to leave a review about our experience, especially with Noah. Noah was absolutely amazing on so many fronts. Let me state the facts the main problem nobody talks about is how thin the walls are I heard everything to my neighbors tolits sinks showers and even heard my neighbors having sex heard iphones ringing in restroom that wasnt mine washing machines . To live comfortable here you have to be mouse quiet and neighbors too I ended up having so many noise complaints due to paper thin walls . My neighbors made complaints for everything including footsteps and loud tv . I tried to believe they there are not racist but the 2nd day I moved I had two guess we was whispering on patio for 5 minutes I had no tv music and somehow security was at my door for noise complaints also the day before I had been drinking maybe I was alittle loud but how loud could I have been with no music or tv and 3 guess they was already demanding I move .... Weeks later around in afternoon I was trying to sleep I work graveyard I see 15 people below on a patio with music and very loud I complained they said it's not disturbance but my two or 3 guess they called it a party. This place was so uncomfortable this was like living with roommates can't have guess and you hear everything . Very racist I argued with my girlfriend one day police was called cause you can hear everything but I once woke up at 5 am in middle of my sleep because my neighbors was arguing. The craziest complaint has to be my tv being too loud. I even got cool with the security guards I was told blacks are not welcomed by leasing department and neighbors will try to get them out . One day my neighbor complained that there may be signs of a party the security looked below and said all my lights was off I was probly sleep . I once got up in middle of night to grab water and the security came to my door for allegedly loud footsteps . After 2 days of living there and receiving mass complaints for noise and even ashes on neighbor patio which I apologized and told them I would pay to get cleaned if my guess did my by accident my neighbors threw eggs 3rd day of living there at my patio window I complained to leasing told them I saw them do it .... The leasing department told me " well with all these complaints you should have never got on the wrong foot with your neighbors" . I have never received a nosie complaint and never heard people talking , arguing , having sex, showers, washing machines, footsteps in any apartment I have ever lived except for this place this place is a nightmare very cheap and cheap walls creates problems for yourself and those around you what a nightmare read more
