Work is often done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When we asked to change rooms, they gave us ear plugs and said the wait to change would be a couple weeks! Meanwhile, this is what broke in our room: 1. Broken dryer : (multiple attempts to fix until they finally replaced it ) 2. Broken garbage disposal (multiple times to fix ) 3. Dishwasher not connected to water 4. Shower: constant hot/cold fluctuation (never fixed) 5. Bathtub not hot enough water cuz lock on temperature was broken (never fixed) 6. Toilet overflow 7. Random Alarm goes off in early morning from housekeeper hitting the button on the bedroom clock These are the general operating problems: 1. The WiFi code is changed weekly, and you have to redo all devices. 2.. They don't bring Amazon or other packages to your room for days; you have to keep asking if you have a package (many get shuffled somewhere in a large room and they often can't find them!) 3. Housekeeping is done once a week and has no fixed schedule. There could be 5-7-10 days between cleaning and towel changes. There is no consistency. 4. Printer is in the lobby with a different WiFi. Often, when I tried to print, the printer had no paper 5. There's no system for when you call downstairs to admit a guest. One front desk person doesn't talk to the other or write down the guest's name in a computerized system. I often would call the front desk with a guest's name, and I'd get a call three minutes later from the "other" front desk person asking if it was okay to admit my guest. 6. I left a package at the front desk for a courier to pick up. When she arrived, they told her there wasn't a package and sent her to my room. 7. Dry cleaning would be returned from the Dry Cleaners, and they couldn't find it in the large "package room." 8. My two TVs were broken for over 3 weeks ... waiting for a cable was the excuse. 9. Housekeeping won't change your sheets or make your bed if you left anything on top of it. Our pajamas were on the bed, so they just left the dirty sheets! 10. The valet crashed our car and broke the window 11. The room smelled of mold, and the towels didn't dry properly 12. The balcony was only cleaned when specifically requested On the plus side: 1. Cons: - Cleanliness and amenity designs / qualities of the suite were kind of a let down. My skin had a rashy reaction to something in the carpet or the furniture - Bathrooms: the showers were in need of a deep clean, ceilings would leak water onto the floor, shower parts were spaced out poorly and bumping each other. One of the showers didn't have a platform at all for shower stuff, college dorm style. Toilets had bidets, but they looked so old and rusty that we didn't want to touch them. - The oven was kind of unusable as smoke would aggressively and continuously fill the room from some cleaning agent that housekeeping used

The parking is indoor and safe for the most part as parking in this neighborhood is at a premium and can be difficult. Marina Tower has roughly 70 units of studio and one-bedroom apartments with stellar ocean views on either side of the structure. In fact, the Marina Tower views really have no peer. The ease of location is really important, especially if you travel as LAX is just 15 minutes by UBER or Lyft. But most importantly is that you are at the center of things here in this Venice/Marina neighborhood. Steps from Abbot Kinney or Washington Square, living by the beach is truly calming ad makes everyday living like a vacation of sorts! There is plenty of restaurant choices in walking distance as well as access to WHOLE Foods, RALPHS or Costco by car or even a short bicycle ride. The access to the Venice fishing pier is steps away as well as access to the iconic Venice Boardwalk. There is also a workout room and a lobby storage structure or packages from AMAZON. If you are new to Los Angeles and wanted to be geographically desirable, the Marina Tower Apartments are a perfect option for the busy single professional or newly married couple. Another employee didn't even know where the laundry room or fitness center was and walked me around the property for about 20 minutes without finding them. The property also has multiple phone numbers, but nine times out of ten nobody answers, and emails are rarely answered without repeated follow-ups. I'm moving back to LA after 15 years and the scene in downtown Santa Monica has changed. Brad, was determined to give me a fabulous experience of what life would be like if I chose The Park SM as my new home. The roof top park is their biggest selling point and their gym will make you want to cancel any membership you currently have, its gorgeous. Some of their units are a little dark as the building is surrounded by other properties, however, Brad did his best to show outward facing units as this was a concern for me. Months after moving out, they're still trying to threaten me with a 6k bill for BS charges - including an entire month of rent after I had moved out. They stole my ***entire*** security deposit. This is the first time I've been straight up scammed by a landlord, and it's really disappointing. Management (Stan and Desiree) refused to acknowledge any emails during my tenancy about their creepy doorman Taylor, who made me and my girl friends so uncomfortable I stopped using the front door. They didn't care when another security guard gave a key to my apartment to random people on multiple occasions... There are cameras in every public space; doorman Taylor would often brag about watching & listening to residents; gossiping like a middle school girl about what he saw them doing on the cameras - even though The Park advertises privacy, comfort, safety, and security as something you're paying a premium for. When I complained about these employees, they did not care and would not even acknowledge what I was saying. Being uncomfortable coming and going from my own home because of an employee was NEVER something I'd experienced in other luxury buildings, & it made me quit apartments altogether. Management doesn't replace worn down gym equipment & they refused to replace the outdoor seating cushions after weeks of absorbing toxic chemicals from the January '25 fires. During my 18 month residency, the gym shower and wet sauna had a mold issue / drain fly infestation. Upon moving out, this still wasn't fixed. management would give me so much attitude when I would remind them they were charging residents for a spa that was half working and fully unsanitary. When I moved in during Sept 2024, there were lots of younger/international residents. However, after the fires, the building was filled with older displaced Palisades residents. They can frequently be overheard yelling at valet/cleaning staff, making racist comments, and all around ruining the peaceful beach vibe. It felt like I was suddenly living in a retirement community with the rudest, most entitled people in America. The most laughable thing was the employees that relentlessly beg you to join the building's $350/ month 'members club', advertising it as weekly dinners from a private chef. In reality, they do a catering order from unhealthy, mid restaurants on doordash and make you eat off of plastic silverware and paper plates. and they are charging a HIGHER price than soho house ..... please be serious. The pros to this building: the cleaners & valet staff are so kind and friendly, they always made my day. The weight section of the gym was always pretty empty during the day. The towel service at the pool is great - mostly because without towels, their outdoor cushions make your skin itchy due to absorbing the chemicals from the fires. These people cannot get anyone to re-sign after a year. Just overall such a weird experience for being one of the most expensive apartments I've lived in.

The finishes feel high quality, the common areas are beautiful, and the overall vibe feels elevated without being over the top. One thing that really stood out to me is the size of the one bedroom units. Compared to many newer luxury buildings in the area, the layouts here feel noticeably more spacious and functional. The natural light and open feel made a big difference for me. The location is hard to beat. Being directly across from Sony Studios is such a cool landmark, and it's about a ten minute walk into the heart of downtown Culver City for coffee, restaurants, bars, and all the new spots continuing to pop up. It feels central and lively while still being comfortable. Phillip and his team have been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. I asked a lot of questions and went back and forth on a few details, and they handled everything with professionalism and transparency. That level of service really sets this place apart. It takes multiple attempts to reach them, even while living there. I will say that the complex remains clean and is safe/secure. The gym could use some upgrades. Upon move in, we were told our original unit "wasn't ready" , so they asked if we could pouch back our move date. Since we were moving out of state we had everything ready to go for a certain date, so we had to switch units last minute. Management continues to blame their transition from Modera, even though that was a couple of years ago already. Units have been "updated" but cabinetry feels older. I've never lived somewhere that I didn't get my full security deposit back. They charged me close to $500 for paint and cleaning. They stated that the paint had an "off white hue" to try and justify the paint job. Absolutely ridiculous. You can see my photos, the place did not need $500 worth of painting. I've reached out to management about it and requested photo comparisons from my move in. They told me to email Q Support but guess what, still haven't heard back from them either. Towards the end of our tenancy, Misty in management was pretty communicative but she can't do all the legwork for the entire property. I am still waiting to hear back in regards to my security deposit. It's true, corporate will not respond to you. Once you leave, crickets. Expect them to take your security deposit because they will.

From early on, management failed to be honest about how disruptive and long-term the construction would be, making it nearly impossible to work from home and costing me income and peace of mind. Our balcony was destroyed about a month into our lease, yet we were still charged full rent for something we could no longer use--and it's still not properly restored. Over time, our apartment developed serious mold problems. We found visible mold in bedrooms, closets, on our personal belongings, and even inside an air purifier. Many of our possessions were ruined, and I had to throw away thousands of dollars' worth of personal items. It's been heartbreaking to lose things you've worked hard for, especially when it feels completely preventable. We also raised concerns about potential asbestos exposure during construction, but management never gave clear answers or reassurance. Instead of taking responsibility, they brushed off our health concerns and avoided providing real information. When I asked for proper mold testing and accountability, the property manager (Tina) hung up on me and stopped responding to emails. Trying to get basic answers about our health, safety, and living conditions became exhausting and emotionally overwhelming. Eventually, management agreed to let us end our lease early--but only if we signed an agreement promising not to sue them or talk about what we went through. After months of stress, fear about our health, financial losses, and feeling ignored, that offer felt more like a way to silence us than to make things right. This experience has been awful and the lack of transparency, accountability, and basic respect had made things immensely worse. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone, especially people with health concerns, pets, kids, or anyone who values feeling safe and supported in their home.
