Work is often done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When we asked to change rooms, they gave us ear plugs and said the wait to change would be a couple weeks! Meanwhile, this is what broke in our room: 1. Broken dryer : (multiple attempts to fix until they finally replaced it ) 2. Broken garbage disposal (multiple times to fix ) 3. Dishwasher not connected to water 4. Shower: constant hot/cold fluctuation (never fixed) 5. Bathtub not hot enough water cuz lock on temperature was broken (never fixed) 6. Toilet overflow 7. Random Alarm goes off in early morning from housekeeper hitting the button on the bedroom clock These are the general operating problems: 1. The WiFi code is changed weekly, and you have to redo all devices. 2.. They don't bring Amazon or other packages to your room for days; you have to keep asking if you have a package (many get shuffled somewhere in a large room and they often can't find them!) 3. Housekeeping is done once a week and has no fixed schedule. There could be 5-7-10 days between cleaning and towel changes. There is no consistency. 4. Printer is in the lobby with a different WiFi. Often, when I tried to print, the printer had no paper 5. There's no system for when you call downstairs to admit a guest. One front desk person doesn't talk to the other or write down the guest's name in a computerized system. I often would call the front desk with a guest's name, and I'd get a call three minutes later from the "other" front desk person asking if it was okay to admit my guest. 6. I left a package at the front desk for a courier to pick up. When she arrived, they told her there wasn't a package and sent her to my room. 7. Dry cleaning would be returned from the Dry Cleaners, and they couldn't find it in the large "package room." 8. My two TVs were broken for over 3 weeks ... waiting for a cable was the excuse. 9. Housekeeping won't change your sheets or make your bed if you left anything on top of it. Our pajamas were on the bed, so they just left the dirty sheets! 10. The valet crashed our car and broke the window 11. The room smelled of mold, and the towels didn't dry properly 12. The balcony was only cleaned when specifically requested On the plus side: 1. The valet parking attendant named Larry was very unprofessional tonight Saturday 5/17/2025 at…read more9:15pm. It was my first time visiting this building and right by the entrance there's a sign that states "DO NOT ENTER" to the left. So I went to the right. I noticed there were "valet" parking signs on the right side and NOT A SOUL to ask where to park. I was instructed by the building resident I could park "anywhere" so I did. When it was time to get out, the valet parking had blocked my car. I called the front desk to ask for assistance. "Larry" then showed up all worked up to tell me if I hadn't read the signs. I did apologize and told him it was my first time at the building and that I tried looking for help going in but there was no one. I even asked the front desk of I needed a permit or of I could park anywhere, they said yes, anywhere. So then "Larry" the valet worker proceeded to keep giving me an attitude and again said I didn't see the signs. I told him I did see the signs but the very first sight after getting in, states do not enter to the left so it's confusing. "Larry" continued escalating the situation and then I asked him to have a better attitude then he said "I'm not going to move the car until I paid the valet fee" and that he could keep me in there because that was "private property". I then said I'd call the cops because of he wasn't going to let me out. Then "Larry" yelled at me "you can call the president." I started calling the cops when he got into the car blocking me and finally moved it. He kept yelling that's why there are signs. I called the front desk to report the incident and "Ricky" picked up. I told "Ricky" that I had just called to request the valet moved the car that was blocking me and then "Ricky" just hung up on me. It seems that situation happens a lot or the workers wouldn't be so upset about the situation to the point of "Larry" yelling at me and threatening to keep me blocked in there BUT that's no excuse for their unprofessional behavior and poor treatment to visitors. I don't understand how they keep a job by doing such things. If you're planning to be live at this building, do your research to see how management handles situations like these because I looked up the HOA fees and they "range from $1,500-$1,900. So you'll be paying top dollar for an inexistent service when it comes to how they will treat people visiting you.

Paper-thin walls, shoddy construction -- and at one point, a piece of the guest bathroom ceiling fell on my head. I sent photos to management and urged them to inspect all units, but they didn't care. Luckily I only got minor scratches, but this could have seriously hurt someone else. Once the amenities hype fades, you realize you're just paying a premium for a basic apartment. The rooftop gym was a big selling point for me, but it's constantly taken over by fitness classes for non-residents. When your main "perk" is inaccessible half the time, it really adds to the frustration. The worst part? The staff and management. Event coordinators are unprofessional, handymen gossip about residents' apartments, and management shows zero care. The turnover here is massive, and I now understand why. My advice: look elsewhere. This so-called high-end building is paper-thin, poorly managed, and not worth the price. I moved to 1221 Ocean, and I've been here happily for 2 years. Do yourself a favor and choose a well-managed, established property -- not this joke of a building.
