harborview blinds measuring guy Ian made a simple mistake and ordered a whole household of blinds for 4 inch window casing, BUT the windows are all 3 inch casing. So they cannot be installed. Actually do not fit. Stick out and the wrapping fascia won't attach. Then Bob the owner tried to tell me that my windows were so good that they deserved 4 inch casing b/c he was trying to alibi for Ian screwing the whole order over. Yes, all the blinds were measured correctly for width, but none were the 3 inch casing required. So many thousands of dollars are wasted and now i have a bunch of blinds i cannot install. And Bob and Harborview blinds won't make it right. They are not honorable guys. And make very simple, but very bad mistakes. read more

I had 5 panels of French doors to get done. The gentleman who came was great at listening to my needs and had some ideas I hadn't though about. Very helpful. I found them to be very competitive price wise and much easier to work with than trying to measure myself and order online. I'm really glad I called them. I expected them to be too expensive but they were comparable to the big box stores but you get very personal service! They are quick to respond and the install was good too. We have ordered blinds from a large retail store in the past but recently went with Bob at Harborview Blinds. Wow, incredible customer service! The blinds we initially ordered didn't work well as we had large windows so they were difficult to open and close. Bob was able to arrange for a no-cost upgrade to battery operated blinds we just love. Bob and his staff are all top notch and they remove and install blinds themselves. Craig personally installed them and insured we were happy prior to leaving. He was very responsive to any messages we left him. Highly recommend HarborView Blinds. Bob, the owner, came to give us a bid. We'd already gotten bids from both 3 Day and Budget Blinds - both of those bids were about the same (although they make it difficult to do a true comparison). We had low expectations that HarborView could beat the bids of the other 2 - we were shocked when his bid came in $1000 less for a better product (that the other 2 companies had neglected to mention were on special through the vendor). Bob, the owner came out to our house with a great selection of products. We really wanted shutters and Bob provided us with detailed presentation of all the types of shutters. Wow! A business that actually exceeds expectations! Bob (the owner) came to our place, and listened to us, showed us several samples of the various window treatments for our windows and sliders, and within a couple of hours, we had made our selections. Andrew came out and did the installations on both trips (we had to wait for the shutters to be made) and did an excellent job with that. We had interior shutters installed in the front of the house, which has dramatically reduced the heat being let in through those large west-facing windows...now we don't have to get A/C! I'm just guessing, but I'll bet that the value of our home has increased somewhat more than what we paid for the treatments. We looked around our new neighborhood to see what others had used for their window treatments...saw some pretty sorry looking sun-beaten drapes, and cheap blinds.
