I've thought about doing this for years. Dr. Karen Curtis, she failed me severely. She was my PCP,…read moreI went to her with back pain. I told her over and over that my back hurt. This was around 2012. She ordered an xray. Saw nothing and said it was all in my head. As time went on, after asking her for help over and over. I finally switched dr. I got an MRI. Yes, my back was bad then. Now, I walk with a cane and sometimes on a mobility scooter. I'm on SSDI for my back and 100% rated with the va. Many herniated and ruptured discs later, I'm a broken down old man at 52 years old. All because she refused to order an MRI. See she has back problems and is a gatekeeper. If you aren't as bad as she is, you are fine in her mind. I would not take a dog to her with a cold.

One of the worst VA's we have ever had to deal with. This past time my husband waited for over 2…read morehours before going up to the desk and asking when he would be in to see the doctor for his scheduled appt two hours beforehand and they said they "accidentally" forgot about him and that they no longer have time to deal with him that day and the next appointment is in 2 months time. I guess this is a recurring theme in Memphis.. medical offices forgetting about patients even after they check in and get their BP taken. This is the 2nd time this has happened in a week now, just this time it's the VA. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. They also gave him capcasin cream for his severe knee deterioration from his deployments... icy hot for knees... for a veteran.... This is the type of care they give the people who fight to protect us. Disgusting.

I hate this location with a passion. Everytime I think I'm going to get my children to a doctor I…read moream let down by this location! Today I traveled from Whitehaven all the way to Winchester and hacks cross to be turned around by a security guard saying they are not going to open today. Before I left, I checked their open times on Google it said 12 pm. I even asked Google straight up is this location known for not opening when they hours say because this is the 3rd!!!! Time this particular situation has happened to me. It's bad enough I have to drive all the way to union to get medicine in the middle of the night cause it's the only Walgreens in Memphis that's 24/7 but now I can't trust the damn urgent clinics either! Maybe they should stop being an Urgent clinic cause this don't seem like something an urgent clinic should be doing!

No one wants a young family member to be in a children's hospital. But if she or he is sick enough,…read moreyou're glad there's one around. My granddaughter recently spent several days here. While I could tell you all about it, her malady and treatment plan wouldn't matter all that much to you, What might be useful for others in a similar position? Trust that the medical team is doing their best to diagnose/treat, and prepare for the plan to change daily based on progress or the lack thereof. If you visit more than once, it's helpful to know that in addition to the ER parking lot and the little guest lot SE of the main entrance, there is a large family parking garage on the west side of the outpatient building that you enter from N Manassas. A stairwell on the east-side center leads to a walkway east toward the outpatient building and main hospital. Once you head in that direction, you'll get your bearings. The kind staff members at visitor registration can point you toward anything else you need. Thanks, LCH, for providing good care to kids and their families, mine included.
