A couple of hours before my appointment (to possibly have the car serviced) on Friday I called again and said I still had not received the quote. The woman told me they wanted to take a look at the car and make sure it needed all the work I had asked for and to bring it in. I brought it in against my better judgment. They then looked at the car and gave me a quote for the exact things I already knew were wrong and had asked for a quote on, charged me $54 for looking at it (when I already knew what was wrong). In addition, the quote was $500 more than another mechanic who took a look.

The Honda dealership service dept. told me my front brakes had to be totally replaced because the rotors couldn't be machined. They also informed me I had a serious leaking issue on my front crankshaft seal. Peter was able to inspect my vehicle and properly assess the situation. My front brakes were able to be machined and he did them, which saved me money than replacing the whole system. The crankshaft only had a moisture issue (apparently a common thing among Honda's). The crankshaft seal didn't have to be replaced after all. 5-Stars!!

They have no idea what they are doing and the owner is a complete prick and absolutely useless. I picked up after the repairs were complete and it was still not fixed, I picked the wrong repair. I was ok with that!! A couple days later somebody called from a third party asking how satisfied I was with the service I received. I told them the same thing and the person said they would have the manager call me to review. Jim from MRI called a me within an hour. I thought he was very rude, he said to me I opted out of the second repair that was proposed and that is why it was still running rough. I felt he trying to pick a fight. I looked around for other shops in my area and MRI had some good reviews. I bit. I never even met Peter before i paid my bill. Between having to take transit to and from work, i did everything over the phone. I asked them to get my vehicle towed from home, and they got it in right away. Had a diagnostic done within a few hours of me getting them everything they needed (had to drop off my old ECU for them to double check). The communication between us was phenomenal and they were able to track down an issue that i would have never found myself. They made me aware of everything they were going to do before they did it and the service was just beyond what i could have hoped for. So yeah. Had to create an account to rave about these guys. Quality service, honest/fast work, and i didn't lose an arm for it.

I left my car there at approximately 8:30 - 8:45 a.m. I was told that they required the car for the whole day. I was called at approximately 3:40 pm informing me that my car would be ready by 4:30 p.m. While en route to their location from out of town I received another phone call from Motorwerkes at approximately 4:10 p.m. explaining that the services that I commissioned them to perform could not be completed, they were only able to complete the transfer case service, as their person who was tasked with my job, got "hung up on a brake job that took extra time". Now I did receive an apology, thank you, along with a interesting statement that "my car does not require the front and rear differential service until 90k". Now that may be true, but to me this appears as some form of justification to not do this part of the service when they are encountering an internal issue. The point is, whether I needed the service or not (and clearly you had no problem charging me for the transfer case component of the requested service) that excuse is irrelevant. So here's my position. I live out of town, I had my wife follow me to your business so I could get a ride back home, she also obliged to take me back to your business to pickup the car that we thought, by all intents and purposes was going to be completed. She expended gas and her time to do this for me. This was an inconvenience. Now I understand that things happen in business, I was a business owner for 30 years, but my curiosity piques wondering what happened in 30 minutes from my job supposedly being completed to partially completed? So with that said, I would have just gotten the job done. Whether it be an overtime scenario or an all hands on deck situation. I would go the extra mile, even if I lost money on the job, just to honour my commitment and to hold my reputation in good stead, but that's just me. I closing, they say first impressions matter.
