Give this place less than one star if I could. Firstly , now days people rely on reviews before…read morethey make a choice as it's the only way to gauge service and customer satisfaction. On initial contact Rob was great ! Took car in for a inspection as I knew brakes were a mess amongst other issues . Got a quote of $2600 for brakes and suspension. Fine it was no longer safe to drive and I didn't complain about the price . A week after car abs light came on so I called took it back. Yep another issue brake line was rusted and close to breaking. Not safe . So they replaced it another $280.00. This should have been noticed when doing the brake job shouldn't it have? fast fore-ward another week or two car making a noise .. take it in NO they didn't find anything wrong. Okay fine maybe its in my imagination. Decided to get a set of new winter tires from them $900 plus. Drive for about a week then a noise and a scraping noise . Okay wtf? So I decided to take it elsewhere . The mechanic asked how old the brakes were ? I said just had them done less than a month ago... he said " break pads are worn and look like they haven't been replaced" ummmm huh? I drove less than a month ! he said he didn't know how this could be after only driving a month. Dry installation as well .. so I am having to pay all over again to have new pads put on. Not happy at all , after spending so much money on repairs not to mention the multiple UBER rides that had to be taken to get to work.l have to spend more . I would recommend going elsewhere . The reviews may be okay but trust me unless you want to be made to feel like you're crazy and hearing imaginary noises don't go! I believe they may have a quality control issue or they are just using used parts and charging for new . I pray I don't find anything else wrong because I do not want to spend more money on their mistakes or possible dishonest practices .

They are quick, and efficient, and also go out of their way to let me know what they were going to do, and would advise me before, what needs to be done. They are so very friendly, and CUSTOMER SERVICE is their top priority. Doing excellent work just goes with the whole deal. I couldn't recommend this business more highly, that is truly saying a lot. Thankyou.

I had an extremely DISAPPOINTING and FRUSTRATING experience with this shop when I SCHEDULED to…read morechange my winter tires. First off, I had a small SURGERY the day before my scheduled appointment and wasn't supposed to carry any weight. Since my regular tires were in a rack in my garage, I thought it would be prudent to RESCHEDULE my appointment. When I called the shop, I was met with a very unprofessional individual who made me feel uncomfortable right from the start. I informed him of my MEDICAL condition and inquired about changing my appointment, but instead of a friendly response, he bluntly and almost indelicately informed me that the shop was fully booked for the week. I then asked about availability for the following week. He offered a slot on Monday, but Mondays are not convenient for me. As we tried to explore options for Tuesday and Wednesday, nothing seemed to fit my schedule. Throughout this short 2-minute call, his demeanor made it very clear that he was annoyed by my request and didn't seem to care about providing good SERVICE. He even sighed multiple times on the phone, making the interaction even more unpleasant. When I finally decided to go with the Monday slot, he demanded a $100 DEPOSIT. This was especially uncomfortable since I had been to the shop twice in the last year, once for an out-of-province inspection and once for regular maintenance on a newly purchased car. I wasn't a stranger to them, yet I felt like I was being treated as if I was a burden. Because of his attitude, I decided to figure out a way to get my tires down from the rack and keep my original appointment. I concluded the call by stating that he didn't need to change the appointment and that I would be coming in as originally SCHEDULED. With the help of my neighbor, I got my tires down and loaded them into my car. Upon arriving at the shop, I spoke with the RECEPTIONIST, who informed me there was no appointment for me. The man who had answered my call, now smiling, told me he had CANCELED my appointment because we couldn't find a suitable time for the following week. I had never, at any point, indicated that I wanted to cancel my appointment, and if that was his interpretation, he should have at least confirmed it. I felt DISRESPECTED and HUMILIATED. The man's SMILE and attitude communicated that he didn't care about my situation or my business. He gave the impression that, as he seemed to be the owner, he didn't need my business and wasn't there to serve. This wasn't the first unpleasant interaction I've had with him, but today was the final straw. I will NEVER go near this shop again. If you like to be treated with disdain and feel like you are asking for a favor rather than being served as a customer, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere for auto service.

On days like today when it's -40°C and everyone has a broken car, they take time away from their lives and their families, working late, just to help make sure their friends and loyal customers are safe. And they do their due diligence to learn about your make and model of car, so they can let you know what are common problems to expect, and what may be needed in a month or a year so you're not caught by surprise. Best friends a gal could hope for, and added bonus that they keep me alive on the road every day. Great value, too. I was driving a lemon a few years ago, and Dave said, "I've run a cost analysis on how much you pay to fix your car every year compared to an average family. As your mechanic, I would love you to keep fixing this car. As your friend, please stop fixing this car." That's the kind of honesty you can expect at Banno Auto.

I arranged to have my brother do the work. Upon doing it he discovered the work was already complete. My brother called and confirmed that Dave Banno worked on my vehicle for free as a gift. He replaced three of my brakes and did an oil change and washed my vehicle. At first I was so grateful. I started spending time with him and gave him a Christmas gift. He was really nice at first but after five days of spending time with him, one night he slapped and choked me. I also recently noticed that he put a sticker on the back of my car that is very difficult to take off, advertising Banno Auto. He did this without consent also. I wouldn't put it passed him to say that I stopped spending time with him for a different reason other than the fact that he did things to my property without my permission, assaulted me, and has been trying to buy me, manipulate me and guilt me into spending more time with him. I really hate that I have to write this but I believe that if I don't he may do this and maybe worse things to other women.
