My friend went in there two hours later and bought the bottle that I asked for. Just not friendly and not willing to go the extra mile to help the customers. I will drive further out to go to another Spec's or go to Total Wines, where they are a lot more friendly and attempt to help you.

My husband was able to get his bottle of Glenlivet 12 for $45, which is almost what we pay at Spec's, but we were not able to find anything else that wasn't outrageously overpriced. The six packs of beer were all at least $9, even if it was a cheap domestic. This place is okay if you do not care about spending a lot of money, but I'm one that likes to get my money's worth. Then my intuition said(go around to the other side of the building and lo and behold there it sits. On the backside of the shopping strip, several feet away from their signage. That is my only strike. Back to the inside of Spec's. It is a busy location; they were well staffed to assist customers, especially for a first timer as myself. I went in with intentions to buy Tellamore D.E.W. with honey. A friend shared some with me and I liked it. It has a cute Irish Wolfhound on the label. The label is yellow and stands out. The taste is very smooth. I asked Devin, an associate, where may I find it and he happily directed me to it. We were talking and he mentioned another brand that is way more favorable with liqueur honey. So what did I do? I went with the brand he suggested. The Whistler, Irish whiskey and honey. It was also on sale, even better. As a matter of fact let me open it now to give my feedback on the taste and if it is smooth. BRB My verdic is in! The honey liqueur flavor love it, but it is not smooth. It has a slight burning effect. I will save this bottle to share, but will go to Spec's on my side of town for Tullamore D.E.W. We have patronized this establishment literally since they opened. That ends tonight. My husband…read morewas literally stolen from when he attempted to make a purchase . The cashier entered the wrong amount of money into the register ( intentionally / unintentionally who knows) and when my husband brought it to his attention he argued him down... as if people don't know how much money they have And then when we called the owner of course he sided with the cashier ... no attempt to make it right . No apology nothing . So we returned the purchase and won't ever return ... I guess they count on customers not paying attention. Maybe that's how they make their tips but whatever the case pay close attention to your receipts if you visit this place ... buyer beware! UPDATE!!! My husband really felt bad about how the interaction went down last night and reached out to the store owner personally. He was very gracious ( as he always has been) and they were able resolve the issue. The prices are not but a couple dollars more on some items than what you would pay at Specs and it's just easy access & so close! One of the owners lives right down the road & is Local & lives in League City l. When we lived in Deer Park, I would go to their store on Center Street and everything was just as positive and friendly. You always feel welcome when you walk in the door.. I recommend this location because now they're just outside my subdivision, and you never feel like a stranger . Nice local owned store. SUPPORT our Local City owned business!
