This place SUCKS My…read morebrother (32) and I (25) went into this Total Wine & my brother was going to purchase alcohol. They asked both of us for our ID's although I was NOT the one purchasing and I unfortunately did not have my ID on me which was not the issue but they acted like I was underage asking me for all my info and writing it down & let us know we weren't going to be able to purchase liqour because of me. YET there was a WHITE lady with a CHILD UNDER ONE buying liquor and they didn't ask her not a damn thing about her child. Make it make sense. ridiculous to let someone with a child buy liqour but two OVER the age people can not buy liqour because the one who wasn't purchasing didn't have an ID. IN THAT CASE , They need to ID before you even get & NOT ALLOW under age children. I will be giving ZERO stars across all platforms.

The last 4 times we have been here, we have experienced surprise upcharges when checking out. Owner has remained consistent in explaining "someone must have moved this product to the wrong section" but continued happenstance lends itself more accurately to false advertising. Photo shows the latest incident when a $11.99 marked product was rung up for $33.99. Owner failed to acknowledge extreme differential in price. Will no longer support this business.

They don't all have the same selection so it's fun to visit those newer locations to get a sense of what they offer. Thankfully, Spec's advertised a special bourbon drop for July 4at selected stores and this Pearland location was on the drop list. Had never been to this Spec's and was pleasantly surprised by the people. Attentive, smiling, friendly. Good yo know that service is still in style. They open at 10am but we arrived early because we didn't know what to expect. Parking was plentiful and easy. As the staff arrived they each waived hello and the manager came out around 9:30am to chat with us and let us know what to expect. The store is large, and has a great selection of wine and spirits. It certainly has more of a warehouse feel with concrete floors and open ceilings, but the aisles are wide and you don't feel claustrophobic because you can see over the shelves in the center of the store. My friend went in there two hours later and bought the bottle that I asked for. Just not friendly and not willing to go the extra mile to help the customers. I will drive further out to go to another Spec's or go to Total Wines, where they are a lot more friendly and attempt to help you.

We have patronized this establishment literally since they opened. That ends tonight. My husband…read morewas literally stolen from when he attempted to make a purchase . The cashier entered the wrong amount of money into the register ( intentionally / unintentionally who knows) and when my husband brought it to his attention he argued him down... as if people don't know how much money they have And then when we called the owner of course he sided with the cashier ... no attempt to make it right . No apology nothing . So we returned the purchase and won't ever return ... I guess they count on customers not paying attention. Maybe that's how they make their tips but whatever the case pay close attention to your receipts if you visit this place ... buyer beware! UPDATE!!! My husband really felt bad about how the interaction went down last night and reached out to the store owner personally. He was very gracious ( as he always has been) and they were able resolve the issue. It rarely is about the money , rather the human interaction.. that being said we will definitely be returning to this business ... we need to stock up our bar cart!! Thank you Aaveg!
